We Bought an ABANDONED 750cc Swapped 4 Wheeler! Meet the HON-DUKI!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 мар 2021
- We bought an abandoned project! Someone started swapping a SOHC Honda 750cc motorcycle engine into a Suzuki Quad Sport 230- an 80s sport 4 wheeler originally quipped with a 229cc four stroke engine. The Honda CB750 engine made nearly 70 horsepower when it was new, with over triple the displacement of the original four wheeler engine. Unfortunately, the project was abandoned at some point, so we're picking it up where the last builder left off! We see if we can get the old Honda 750 running for the first time in years!
Thanks for Watching!

I never heard so many different sounds come from an engine before it starts
Thought the same thing 😂
having no manifold makes lots of questionable sounds
Sounded like it was trying to blow bubbles at one point
if an atv could get the runs thats what it would look like!!!
ruclips.net/video/9nAGbb8qHA85/видео.htmlyu
the smaller clutch handle was originally a compression release for the original engine
Spot on
I thought maybe they just set it up for stunting and had a rear brake hand lever.
@@pistolgrabber01 that’s what I thought lol
+1!!
yeah sometimes these guys scare me with their lack of common knowledge. It all works out in the end tho.
Your guys knowledge is helping me get ideas of why my c4 corvette wont start. I am an 18 year old kid who bought a cheap corvette with alot of problems and this channel really is giving me motivation to go and start wrenching on it. I love the channel keep the projects commin. ❤
New drinking game: take a shot every time John says “sounds good” 😂
Would've been shit faced in the last couple power wheels videos
Get a little souse on an ATV, and you will wreck - I know out of experience. I had a MOTO four from a simular year that we put a ported 12A on - it was like 200 hp, and it was very hard to control. Also - a ported 12a will hit 9,000 rpm in 2 seconds so you don't need a lot of shifting.
"The jank is real"
The Honduki is badass, just the right amount of hot 80s death machine everyone needs in their lives 🤣
Let's see if this thing will start an if it does, then I'm 'onna need someone to hold my beer.
If only this were a 3 wheeler haha
Only thing that could make it even more mental is if it had started off as a 3 wheeler, seeing the 'duki rip is gonna be awesome!
@@hrsey71 I survived having a Honda 110 in my childhood. Probably wouldn't have if it had like a Yamaha DT400 engine.
@Ryan Martin ummmmmmk
What do you guys think of the HONDUKI?? Pretty sweet right!? Also- we put two more quarts of oil in it before we ran the engine. It’ll be fine
I think it looks pretty sweet I mean I love how jankey it is with the really just haphazard parts put on it I think it’ll be fine
Yessssss
Idk if John should be allowed to ride that with his crash record. 😂 that’s gonna be scary
@@brapperdan
Totally should team up with Failarmy 😁
It’ll be fine guys. That jankiness is nothing compared to some stuff you do and it’s never gone too badly before
That "carport" is bigger than my whole house. I wish we had more space in the UK, you'd have to have a £4m house to get something like that
I live in a resort town, and the prices are close, but I rented a industrial storage unit for about 500 UK quid a month, about 1500 sqft, and high ceilings for my bucket truck. Do you have something like that?
@@MegaMeaty I live in Hampshire, everything is ludicrously expensive. My friend has a unit that size with a really bad rental agreement on a farm in the middle of nowhere and that's still about £780/month
@@EdsPlasticCars Sounds like Sacremento.
I absolutely love the song the motor sings to you when it's wanting to run. And then it gets over it's fit of running and then purrs at you.
The small left handle must have been for a compression release.
It part of a previous version like a smaller motor
Yup, mine had a compression release too.
ruclips.net/video/9nAGbb8qHA86/видео.html6yy
Yea Suzuki had those on most of their stuff. Got one on my DR 350
750 honda 4 pot motors do NOT have a compression release 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It was already on the quad dumbarse
Extended rear swing arm...banshee style!!!
The smaller clutch thing is a compression release, it helps the engine start, my xr250 has it.
That's neat - I have a couple 2 cycles that would be awesome on.
Love seeing some new and different projects. Love the channel!
Something nostalgic about the bubble mower sounds you get from short runners on open headers...
this is sick ive had a few quadsports in my time always have wanted to do a swap like that cant wait to see you guys ride it!
I'm not a suzuki guy.. but those quadsports don't die
@@bansheemania1692 nope have yet to kill one. Usually the frame cracks lol
@@kattywampass The one I got was dead but no cracks. I threw a Honda XL200 6speed in it, and threw some cut down raptor plastics. Hondayamazuki.
This was great brought back so many memories. I used to have a 1983 Honda Nighthawk with the CB550. That bike would randomly close the gap on number 2 spark plug. I had it check several times for damage to the piston but everything was always fine. When it started running bad all I would need to do was gap the plug and go. It would be months before would need to do it but was random. Great video as usual. Thanks guys!
You guys are awesome. I just bought a 78 cb750 ohc I've been restoring and this video was super helpful. Never would've thought I'd be finding tips for it here but I got super excited when I saw the title in my feed. Keep on keeping on two thumbs up👍🏼👍🏼
“Smells like funk and Afros”😂😂😂 WOW!
I always imagined that the "Sex Panther" cologne from the first Anchor Man movie smelled just like PB Blaster.
That’s hot
Awesome guys, keep up the great work 👍
That's gonna be frickin awesome when y'all get it together. Love the channels from a fellow North Carolinian.
Issac...my man! Take a stand for the pineapple!
The second clutch lever is a pressure relief valve
no small one was for the stock engine
Eighties models had a separate lockout lever for reverse too
Finally a backwoods build revival. Congrats guys. I been waiting for you come across one of these subjects
Really love the longer videos man I was starting to think y’all weren’t going to do them again... this is an exciting project I can’t wait for the next video
2 things, i've been watching for too long, i said "jank" exactly when isaac did, and 2, painting the wheels that gold on the 3 wheeler y'all are working on would not be the worst thing
Hope y’all are doing good
My family still has one of those original Suzuki 230 sport quads in full working order. Even with only the original 230cc engine it is still an impressive machine. Kick starting sucks the first time, but once it's warmed up that thing screams down the trails. On tight trails a lot of modern quads can't keep up because of his much lighter it is. It's really cool to see you guys working on this hybrid project.
This is exactly what you need! Something y’all actually can rip and can somewhat handle it. Y’all aren’t sitting super funny on it like many of the other builds!
Somewhere a video is floating around how to scuff then torch the plastic back to looking great.
0:03 someone needs to make some music out of this
Great video! excited to see it drive!
Digging the Longer episodes when it comes to the building and the shorter ones when it comes to the testing and racing videos.
Loving the channel as always thanks for the great content.
That second "clutch" lever Is the old compression release lever
When would you use it?
second clutch is stock suzuki compression release
Great job, fella's. Can't wait to see you ride it when it's finished.
Ike vs john in a from scratch build off. Let's make it happen
Ike would reck John let's be honest. John literally learned most of what he knows from ike
I think that’s going to set records on the course
Great video guys! Honducke will be awesome. gotta get her done !
We did this with a Suzuki 125 and cb 175, about 30 years ago. Suzonda was the only fourwheeler in my group of friends, around 92 there was a badass snow in the midwest. It only ran about 35mph but with the clutch and 5 speed it was super easy to drive and could take off in 4 gears.
Sleds were pulled, and smiles were had...so glad I have those memories and damn glad I've got projects rolling and plenty of toys for my kiddos!
He has that much of a beard it’s been so long since I watched this
This seems like something u guys build, didn't know if it would work, then it kinda worked and u just "happened to find it" ;))) Jk love the vidsss
Can’t wait to watch you build this bike/quad up! Love your videos!
Gonna be a handful. Can't wait to see you run it.
You need to leave the pizza outside for the Easter possom so he knows where you are
That is a pretty cool quad, imagine how fast that will go😂
Fast enough for John to run into another tree I guess.
Thats my old four wheeler but its fast enough for one of them to crash
@@dakota8049 So way faster then a Banshee I guess😂
ruclips.net/video/9nAGbb8qHA86/видео.html6yy
@@Hitycooking I just watched that, very cool but I personally think you should add some side panels and some led light strips for the front
That quad is bad ass. Cant. Wait until i see u all ride it..keep these build coming .to date u all are my favorite show on RUclips
I’m loving the longer videos.
Keep up the good work guys.😄
I can imagine how this project started: few guys, few to many beers and a suzuki quad and a cb750: i bet the engine fits.
Nah...
Wanna bet?
Lol.
Dang it's been a year and i see you with an awesome beard like omg nice beard
Thanks
LOVE IT .GREAT STUFF.Keep up the good work
been watchin for years.. took internet hiatus for a while.. came back... you 2 old dudes makin me feel old.. lol (gee thanks right haha) btw that looks like a compression release lever
It's a hit deep water straight over bars machine.
I see the first ever cafe racer quad build
Always a pleasure to watch you guys work! Nice job!
I love that thing! Especially every time Issac bitches that something will be difficult, It turns out to be no problem at all. This bike WANTS to run! Good purchase, Jon!
@6:30
PINEAPPLE IS REAL PIZZA!!!
Everybody knows pineapple and ham go together, like a 750 on a quad.
👍😎🏁
U guys should bring back the little diesel engine on something
yyyyyeeeeeessssss plllleeease!!!!!! that would have made the bronco crawl like a beast!!
Can’t wait to see you guys drive it!!! Love the content!!
Great job... Cant wait for the next part
This is an awesome toy! I absolutely love the 230's (229) they are the sweet classic quads, my brother has one, been needing a little work but seeing these swapped ones are giving some awesome ideas!
I like this “Honduki!” Will be following because it will be an awesome machine. Good luck and be safe!
You guys are making great content, ive been watching from day one and the content has never declined in quality
That thing will be totally radical when it is put I can't wait to see just how fast that thing really will be
When I stepped up from a Honda 350 Twin, it was to an early SOHC CB 750. Awesome! I don't remember mine being very touchy for an air box- but I've slept a time or two since!
This is awesome!!!! I always wanted to do this too. You guys makes the coolest videos. Best channel of all!!
This is a very interesting episode can't wait for the rest
GREAT JOB GUY CANT WAIT TO SEE THE NEXT VIDEO
i knew i spotted a quadsport in one of the older videos i’ve always loved them
Great choice for the name .
Cant wait to see the finished product
I really wanna see this thing get the full treatment. This is what I’ve been waiting to see. Awesome super powerful oddities 💯🔥😎
It amazes me how you two can get an unbelievable pos to run, simply amazing 😎👍
Hey Bros,
LOVE this new project. I would have called it Hon-zuki ! Hon-duki sounds like it just pooped ! Wish I was there to help get her going. Can't wait til next episode. - God bless y'all - Jeb from Texas
awesome series! keep it up! i wanna see this thing rippin.
ike's face when he picked up the pizza had me rolling!
Thanks for keeping the videos longer, John!
Can't wait to see this project finished!
Im excited for this project, look forward to future content.
Sick quad! I'm excited to see the journey for this machine
Awesome video guys 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻take care be safe
I had a suzuki gs 500 i turned into a three wheeler. I removed the rear swing arm and mounted a yamaha blaster rear end. It was crazy fast and easy to ride wheelies. I cant wait to see you guys rip on that beast.
Yes run it...😁
Cant wait to see you guys rippen it...
Awesome! I'm excited for this, good deal man!
That is going to be a Beast of a ride.
I can't wait to see how you do the exhaust
What an awsome project :) Following!
Love the Honduki. Can’t wait for the next video.
Honduki!!! Great episode, fellas.
I totally agree with you Ike. I would take offense to the quad carb headache you are dealing with. Alas, it'll be fine man!
Hondooki..luv it! Cool project, i think that small lever was a compression release lever. My honda xr 350r had one.
JOHN, this is for you.
Watch the video of "Big Country" they got 70s that you guys might be interested in.
Love your show, keep em coming.
Enjoyed the vid guys...Found your apprehension on engaging the carbs a bit hilarious tho...I would have relished diving right into those badboys and restoring them to performance specs..I absolutely LOVE dealing with carbs...Motorcycles,outboards, weedwhackers,power-saws..You name it...lol.
Second clutch was a decompression lever to kick start that Suzuki lt230 quadsport. I owned one as a kid . Loved it
This is the kind of stuff that makes me smile. It's awsome!
Love this kinda project great work guys
WOW that thing sounds like a monster........Love it!!
Haven’t been here in a while good to be back with the crew
I can’t wait to see you ripping around on this one. I’m thinking ya better hang on!
Hahndookie !! Love it. I put a stage 3 on a Raptor 350 and made it keep up with bone stock 450s. I root for the underdog all the time. Even after doing all that, I was still getting trash talked so I sold it. This is what I should have done next was a motorcycle engine on it. Can't wait to see this rip. It should be super squirrelly
That thing sounds ANGRY!! I LOVE IT!! PLEASE ADD IT TO THE PERMANENT COLLECTION!!!!
Gave up my 78 CB 750. Awesome machine only two complaints the timing chain rattled like crazy till it warmed up and those points were a pain in the ass.
That motor loves to run a 4-1 into a BSA Gold Star "silencer" runs beautifully and sounds amazing.
