We SENT The Honduki! 750cc Swapped Suzuki QuadSport Performance Tuning + Thrash Test!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 11 июл 2021
- We make safety and performance mods to our 1980s death machine, the Honduki. It started life as a Suzuki Quad Sport 230 that someone had begun swapping a SOHC Honda CB750 engine into. We finished up the job and got it running, but in today's video we install new tires, new rear brakes, replace front wheel bearings, install a new ignition system, and more, and take the Honduki for a full send!
Thanks for Watching!

Look at Charles growing in to his new role with ease.
I like Charlie can't how ever stand the other guy Patent or wot ever his name is
@@giggitygiggitygoofg6069 I like Peyton ok...he's young and just gonna be there for the summer. I get it tho
charles starting to become the voice of reason in the team , he does his best to make stuff safer
ike needs to get over himself, if another dude says there may be in an issue, and ike says, theres no issue, this is easy, hes putting his ego in a closed box with no room for improvement, some people have an idea, of how to do things a little better and should be allowed to make this statement. why is there turmoil? there is an issue because someone doesn't wanna elaborate ideas
you talking about the footpeg? Seems pretty straightforward, they weren’t sure where to position it and asked Ike. Ike said they can make it work. Idk if asking the guy with the most experience has anything to do with ego.
Honduki is running better than ever! Unfortunately, the day after we shot this video, Ike took a gnarly spill. Video coming Wednesday.
That sucks that that happened, but whatever doznt kill you only makes you stronger, heal fast Ike, good luck with the honduki, should compare it to a fully built Yamaha banshee 😂
I'll be watching through the gaps between my fingers 🤦🏻♂️😬😬
Was this the arm in sling we saw already?
you really need to get a thumb throttle on that. Too much power for a twist throttle, when the power kicks in at full twist it's next to impossible to let it off without letting go
@@gregadams558 yes
Charles really does complete the trio
yeah, he is really starting to get more comfortable in front of the camera and rounding out the group
I like him too! He's a great addition to the channel.
I agree, as well. Why not let Charles take it for a spin on camera? He seems pretty gutsy.
Yes vedy epic
The Busco Beach drag race bit had me giggling with them!
"I feel like im gonna kill myself on this thing"
We call that foreshadowing Ike...
Yeah he only half killed himself 😂
Always listen to the gut feelings .
Even then still don't like them hurting themselves lmao but that's build break repeats job .....not meaning that In a bad way ....that's just referencing his yt name lol
now now he broke his shoulder on it.. lol
IKR!!
Hey forgot about the drag mower flip that really almost killed him
"Are you ok?"
"I think I blew the engine."
"But are you ok?"
"I think I blew the engine."
Predator vs torque converter.
The torque converter locked up.
@@traxxaskid9200 Typical Ike response :D
Im confused on how to feel.I'm excited and nervous for Wednesdays video but I don't want to see Ike get hurt....but kinda do. Most of all though is I'm glad Ike is OK. Cant wait to see him back to 💯
I feel u. I was about to comment the same thing. I’m more nervous n will probably skip the clip
@@bikescarsandmore6156 I'm not going to skip it.
same
It has been said that some people go to motor racing events secretly hoping to see a crash. (A non fatal crash) Why do people ride Bulls? The bull wins every time!
This comment didn't age too well in the 3 days it's been aging.
Man, you guys have been my favorite channel for as long as I've been watching RUclips, and I've got to say the content just keeps getting better! Keep up the great work and heal well Ike! Charles, you are a great addition to the team and im glad you have taken a bigger role in projects and production! Thank you for making every Monday and Wednesday something to look forward to!
Thank you Will!
Turn on the ignition John
Im a just a little nervous 😂😂😂 brilliant need that on a shirt 😂😂👍👍
Yes.
"I'm a little nervous.
It'll be fine."
Praying for a speedy recovery Isaac 💯
How did Isaac get hurt 🤕
@@phoenixarizona8441 well he went to your downtown.....so.
@@brandongambino7740 that makes no sense
@krock top builds thank you
I still want Ike too get well soon, but pray in one hand and shit in the other. and see which one fills up first, I can tell you which one because I'm an atheist.
_The foreshadowing is STRONG with this video._
--Darth Vader, probably
Put a 48" rear axle some racing performance tires in the rear Put a wider track front end you'll make it handle a whole lot better
this is what i came here to say. this swap should have been done in a Quad Racer not a Quad sport. Not sure if they bolt up but if they could swap some quad racer A arms on ther it would stabilize it so much more
Extended swingarm would be wise. That thing is just too little for all the power. Even John looks big on it.
It's sad a tuned 450 with the "big 3" would smoke this in every way
I totally agree with what you said I mentioned the same thing. I have a quadrunner 650 GXR motor and it and I did the same thing longer track with wider rear axle
Yea definitely a wider track is needed 👍🏼
i hope Isaac gets well soon he looked rough on the 4rth of july
wdym? is he okay?
@@pro_moderngamer4943 he has a video on his own channel he wiped out on the hondaruki hurt his right leg and his right shoulder bad enough to need surgery and he will have his arm in a sling for a while he is not susposed to use his arm at all he might be a bit better now but he said this is going to be a long slow recovery his shoulder it was a tendon they had to repair i think
@@patrickdean9797 ahhh sucks
@@patrickdean9797 damn I hope he has a speedy recovery
Ike sayin "I feel like this thing is gonna kill me" was pretty good foreshadowing. Ike.... listen to those instincts man... it was tryin to save you some pain.
The problem is we say that like once a month, we’ve been SUPER lucky so far
@@CarsandCameras I was thinking that the snowmobile engine was going
this way. Please be sure to put that in something with a proper cage. I know
Ike knows bikes, remember the kz-900 nicknamed The Widow Maker? Center
of gravity and steering geometry was off and a lot of guys died.
@@n3glv I was riding a '75 Z1b at 16 years old in 1979. Never heard anybody ever refer to a KZ as the widowmaker. The H2 was always the widowmaker.
Hell yeah guys love the video and love Charles energy glad for him to be on the team
I hope Isaac is okay he’s in my prayers.
Ike : “I feel like I’m going to kill myself on this thing” *simultaneously brushes arm that he’s going to break the next day...
I like the idea of the comment haha but he brushed his left arm and broke his right
#foreshadowing
The Hondookie, it'll make you sht yourself!
@@devenbelanger8463 Beat me to it 🤣😂✌️
@@devenbelanger8463 Well then, he shoulda brushed both his arms, might've not broken either that way XD
I think Charles was a great addition to the channel.
So much foreshadowing in this one! Get better soon Ike!
I think adding Charles was definitely a good idea 🔥👍✌️
I can't tell you how glad I am to see you guys taking the proper precautions to make sure accidents don't lead to fatalities. Other channels are being downright blatant with unsafe behavior and are on borrowed time.
I don't think I can watch the Wed. video , I love you guys and wish Ike a speedy recovery , get yourself a young intern while you are down Ike because you are a born teacher , and teach me something new every video . teach some youngster to love to work on machines like you do while you are recovering
Honda + Suzuki = Can-Am? Hahaha. Great build boys, death defying.
Appreciate your all’s content. It’s neat the projects you come up with.
im smiling from ear to ear at the speed all the while im praying for the boys safety, awesome episode guys
I hope Isaac gets better soon, he seemed down that he couldn’t do his normal stuff I’m sad
Issac THAT'S IT!
Go get yourself some better protective gear please!
Would you consider makin it a companion for the drag rail rather than an offroad scrambler?
Man, I second the request for better protective gear.
As a guy that’s done his fair share of welding and fab in a home shop I can say these guys make it look easy but these projects are indeed a lot of work. I’m always working solo but still even with 3 people it’s a lot of work. Kudos boys
Thanks for putting this video up. It shows you had most of the mechanical issues worked out and the cart was running good, well too good actually. Other than not riding it don't see anything that would have. Looking forward to the next episode.
Wow, those tires were really stuck to the rim! Never had any quite that bad. Get well ASAP, Ike! 😎
The way Isaac looks at you and says “easy peasy”😂
That's what my dad told me whenever i got a new quad
Love your videos guys! I always look forward to them. You have given me so much inspiration!
By far one of the fastest things I’ve ever seen built on this channel! It’s insane! Keep up the good work👍🏼👍🏼
I remember when I flipped my four-wheeler I was in a mud pit and got sideways my rear right tire hit a dry spot and it rolled over top of me.
Says that at 0:12 and procedes to break his arm and damege his knee... well kinda forshadowing but atleast not killing himself...
The real question is if we are gonna see the footage of the crash...
edit: Okay on wednesday, bulidin up the tension...
Yup, foreshadowing is 10/10 totally unintentional
I live in Michigan and in the late 70's the Honda shop had a ATC with a 750 motor on it with a 1050 big bore kit in it and they raced it at Silver Lake sand dunes. NUTS !
Yes! I have been waiting for this video!
A thumb throttle would make it a little more controllable.
@Tyson Seabrook Okay. I guess my several years of working on, racing and building 4-wheelers semi professionally has been negated in the time since then. Next...
I agree, I have been an avid snowmobiler for years. it makes it so you can hang on to the handle bars better. and because your wrist only goes so far back. you don't have to have your elbow facing the ground to achieve full throttle. I don't use twist grip throttle set ups any more.
@@musicauthority7828 Exactly. And no whiskey throttle!
@@musicauthority7828 Same goes for jet skies and other personal water craft. I raced them a couple years right after Seadoo released the XP model. Much easier throttle control in rough conditions and while doing stunts.
@@CLCIII Some motorcycle manufacturers like Husqvarna, had different ratio twist throttle's that were shorter. but I still prefer thumb throttle's.
"I feel like im gonna kill myself on this thang." Well. Sorry for your accident Ike. Get better soon!
Nice to have Charles there and getting comfortable. I don't want to see Ike get hurt, but curious to see what happened. Speedy recovery Bud!
Charles is really proving himself as a mechanic making good decisions, and fixing things properly. Kudos Charles!!! John it depends on where you live permits can be half the battle when building a pole building. You will get there, and it will be great!!
I can't believe you're making us wait until Wednesday as soon as this video popped up I'm like I got to go to the bathroom on my break and watch it
lol, rotational. who would of thought a tire would be rotational. I know what he meant, directional. we love the videos!
As somebody who has had their leg swallowed my the rear tires of a late 80's yamaha warrior, I can't express enough how essential Nerf Bars are for something like this. They're not that expensive and they'll save your foot and everything attached to it.
Praying for a speedy recovery there Ike!🙏🏼🙏🏼
When Ike foreshadows his own down fall, but only partially correctly.
That thing is sweat. Get an extended swing arm, wider axel, and extended a arms and that thing would be godly
It was very warm that day.
Greatest group of guys y’all are the best!
Great video guys. Don't think you would ever see this Old Man on it. Love you guys 🛵😎💝💝
Really need to get taller handlebars for this thing. Looks like youre riding a mini quad lol
Love the direction the show is going. Charles is a great addition on and off camera (I assume). Can't wait to see what happened to Ike! Hope he's recovering well.
How have these guys not reached 1 million yet I’ve been with them since the beginning
Heck yea man you guys are killing it!!!!
I almost couldn't watch this video knowing ike got hurt afterwards on the honduki. He spends alot of his time making these videos for us and takes pride in what he does. I hope you recover quick i hate that you got hurt doing what you love. And thank you cars and cameras crew for making these videos happen.
Jumping the ol' starter solenoid. Thats how I started my 86' Honda Saber 1100 for a long time.
dang this thing is crazy guys! And i'm sorry to hear Ike got hurt on it, i wish you a speedy recovery man!
Love the content! Thank you!
Oh dang, I wish Ike all the best for his recovery!
A little thing you could add is subtitles for when someone says something out of frame, sometimes they're barely audible.
Just something you could do, no pressure :)
That beast reminded me of the Honda ATC 250R from the 80s but with 4 wheels. Always regret not buying one before they were banned here in Australia. The old 750K engine was a nice touch now that takes me back.
About to hit that million good for you guys
Love the videos guys please keep it up!
awesome making my dreams come true with every episode
Having seen Isaacs videos on his channel and knowing what happens I was bricking myself the whole time he was test riding. My thoughts go out to him hope he recovers quick
ROAD TO 1 MILLION ALMOST THERE 👏🏻 💯
Can't wait til Wednesday! I knew it! Get well bro!
That is awesome! I have the factory 230 engine on mine after seeing this I want to swap mine too!
I hope Ike has a speedy recovery! First he rolls a lawn mower now the Honduki man is a true sender!
I like your intake you made up. I have a Honda GL1100 Naked Wing that I used a VW carb and pvc intake I made up. Works as good as the original set of 4. Only problem is the VW carb has no idle settings you have to adjust the air and fuel to get a low idle speed
Watching this one with one eye closed, and now not sure what to think about Wed...
Be well Isaac, speedy recovery.
It took me 9 months to grow a new shoulder (last year), sir... but I'm a boomer
Good job guys
Love you guys , please be Careful , my son had too much fun one Sunday and now he spends his life and times in a wheelchair luckily ,he Is able to do a lot along with being high school school shop teacher
That looks like a good time
Ike is the source of this channel's entertainment. This is dope. Hopefully he makes a hasty and healthy recovery.
Guys I'd say an extended length swing arm is a must! But totally dig the build! We have a yamaha blaster with a gsxr 750cc swapped onto it that I did....it scares the hell outta me! Even with the 12" extended swing arm
Just saying the new guy is totally awesome I love you guises videos please keep making more of it whatever you want because every bit of contact you put out there is fantastic one of your biggest fans Chase I am wish I could go out and do some of yourraces and the gambler things and stuff like that
I have a Honda CBR RR 1000 engine on a Ltz 400 chassis. At first the thing scared the hell out of me. But what I did was got an 6 inch extended swing arm, 3 inch extended LoneStar rear axle. 3 inch extended LoneStar A arms and new elka shocks front and rear. Also I installed YFZ dual piston calipers and rotors for more stopping power. Yes I put almost 6 grand in upgrades but with more power you need to balance everything else out as well. Or somebody will get hurt. I can safely and Not be scared running mine through all the gears at mostly full throttle. It's a blast. I suggest you do what I did to mine.
Not trying to take any credit but I came up with Honduki when Jimmy Oakes K swapped his s14 kouki. Cool that someone used the name, I think it's hilarious!
Go ahead and do the carrier bearings too! Notorious for going out!
This just gets me excited for my R1 raptor I'm building!
Feel better soon Ike!!!
Man i dont think im going to watch ike get hurt , been there done that and i feel for ya ike hope you have a speedy recovery brother .....best wishes
We need to keep the channel in that 1 to 2 cylinder category. 3 and 4 cylinders are only allowed with full cages. This quad is already not the most comfortable as far as riding position. I called it a widow maker in one of its first appearances. Get well soon Ike.
Love from Cali
Extend the swingarm for sure! Love it!
this is so great!
When I was a young man like you guys I could work on the floor like that, now I use a workbench you guys need a workbench you know you do
It's so good to see the Honduki given some love. Hopefully the accident doesn't mean that it's the end of the line for the creation
Sounds good enough that is awesome
Great work everyone stay safe out there!
Love the straight drag bars on their
No way
I added 2 inch (Billet) wheel spacers on all my wheelers for stability. Also run about 3 to 3.5 psi in the tires for much smoother ride and much better traction.
Damn Ike @Isaacitllbefine get well soon bud, wishing you a swift and full recovery man. Least it wasn't as bad as you'd feared & you're still with us! Definitely sort the brakes and maybe invest in some protective gear for the more powerful builds.
OMG, that exhaust system
Futura floor wax will get those plastics looking new. We always used it on our motocross bikes.
Such a cool machine.
I would definitely open this thing up and have a blast. I wouldn't have any fear wrapping it out to full pull. I want one
I am in love with the “Honduki” I have one suggestion though guys you all should add some kind of speedometer gauge or something to see what kind of speed you can get on it after you guys are done tweaking it.
they have an app on their phones that gives them their speed
You guys are great I do and I dont want to see the video. Saw ike yesterday (on his 4th video) and ouch! Hope he heals fast and makes a full recovery.
Maaaan i was hoping to see charles get in on the fun! I want to hear his opinion too!
Hell yeah, brother. Throw some twin turbskis on it and fire me up, brother. 👍🏼👍🏼
Handlebar risers and some protaper bars are a must. Ditch those lights and put the factory fairing back on too!
