- One of Ike's good friends passed recently, and he left Ike part of an island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In our 2020 Summer Special, we prepare and road trip our 1970s Honda Trail 70s 400 miles to the Outer Banks to find the island, get to the island via a surfboard, air mattress, and a $12 inflatable raft, and Ike spends the night on his island!
Thanks for Watching!

Leave a thumbs up is you enjoyed our first special episode! Let us know in the comments WHERE we should go next and WHAT we should ride!
Keen for this one you guys have been talking about a trail 70 road trip for ages
This reminded me of roadkill a lot
Ike's Honda is now a Harley
Living the dream epic adventure you guys rock 🤘
I’m sorry about your loss Ike, if your friend was anything like you I’m sure they would be proud of this adventure
did anyone else notice the foose wheels on the lowrider @13:39 back in the days of overhauling nice touch that truck looks awesome
shout out to the guy hanging off the back of the go kart hitting the governor for that speed boost lol.
Helps to have one dude that wants to see everyone have fun. One track at a theme park used to say “the brakes are for looks, if you use them you’ll be 2 laps down before you can blink” they were right, even lifting slowed you down too much. Sideways or don’t even try 😂😂
Today I bet they can’t even say to not brake
Honestly I find most hire kart tracks have maybe 1-2 actual places where the brakes are needed. The rest is generally flat
a lot of the ones i've run, never needed brakes at all, the things were flat out or not at all
In Florida all the asphalt track are like hills and shit like that one turn on the Mazda speed way
Awesome and congrats to Ike . Nice bodied OBS Charles
John at the end being all sappy meanwhile Ike: PENNYYYYY!!!!
Willllsooon
Ike you're a legend! "Blairwitch Project" at night and "Castaway" in the morning! Well done guys... Very entertaining. ❤️
Legend has it , IKE is still on island with Penny and they are happy.
NOOOOO PENNYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
Dude show some respect peny was lost at sea ....
I found penny floating upside down in the marsh I’m sorry to say she did not make it! RIP Penny.
@@timwegman5776 on my knees arms up to sky NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
As a subscriber for the last couple years (pre drift trike and 670 Black Widow) and as someone who stayed up to watch the Velocity Channel dispatch episode with the Ducarti, I can say with confidence that this is the best and highest quality CarsandCameras video ever!
One of the best Cars and Cameras EVER!!!!!
10 thumbs up! I concur!
💯
I ride a Victory now but I would not give up those early Honda days for love nor money. As a matter of fact, they brought me both. If I get an urge to shake my bones I ride my 58 Harley. Honda lover for life.
I’m so proud of this channel man. The editing and content has came SO far from the beginning. I remember watching the channel years ago and seeing video like this prove time and time again why this is my favorite channel on RUclips! ( not to mention the channel is in the same state as me so it’s cool to see familiar stuff )
I agree brother. Ive lived in nc my whole life and long to one day live at the outer banks. Been once and fell in love with the people and place. One day
for real been watching cars and cameras for the past 6 years and finally got old enough to build a mini bike without my parents being worried about me 😂212cc comin soon baby
@@Exolityy hey did you finish your mini bike? Would love to see a picture.
Awesome video guys big thumbs up 👍
We need more long videos, this is so great.
Especially since they quit their jobs to RUclips full time... I don't get why the content hasnt increased.
Dont forget they also sell merchandise and such plus a few side income deals they have. There is a large amount of work behind the camera people will never see. Would be kind of cool to see how much time they really put in to have fun. You would be surprised. Keep up the hard work guys.
Also... each video is usually 2 to 3 days of work and filming, not to mention editing
Yea I love them
My first "vehicle" was a Honda CB125, and I'd ride 4 hours straight to visit my dad on the weekends. It would take about 4 hours to stop vibrating after...
Imagine how long you would be shaking afterwards if that engine wasn't a Honda.
I did something similar. When I went to college.I rode an XL 125 130 miles to go home almost every weekend. The old beater car I had was only good for about 8 mpg.I was a starving college student, and just could not afford to drive that pig.But the little underpowered Honda got about 60 mpg.Nearly 90 mpg after a slight gearing change. At 10,000 rpm,It would get to 70 mph.A lttle more if I drafted the 18 wheelers, then it would drop to only 9000 rpm.I did this almost every weekend when the weather was good, for the entire 4 years I was there. Those bikes were indestructible.
@@timcarpenter9835 Yep... Mine would do 75mph if I was 10 feet behind a semi. My back still aches from always tucking down to get the last few MPH out of the thing.
And did those Honda 125s even use gas? Thought they ran off the exhaust of the car in front of them...
@@nonebiz2132 funny thing about those early SLs and CBs,they were pretty gutless as you found out.Dirt Bike magazine called the SL125 the "Turtle Chaser" and " the pokiest full size motorcycle you can buy".They asked Honda about what they claimed it made in horsepower. Honda's reply was "we don't claim any horsepower ", which Dirt Bike said " they found refreshingly honest".By the time the XL replaced it, it had found some horsepower.Bigger valves and carburetor has a way of doing that.Yet, it was still pretty much unbreakable.
@@timcarpenter9835 I had the 84, started first kick everytime.... Took it on the freeway all the time, and it would always do 65 wound out in 4th gear even up a hill... but like I said it took a while after riding for the feeling to come back in my whole body.
I'm loving the special so far. This is fantastic guys. This is something you should do regularly. It's almost like a Top Gear special but for smaller vehicles.
💯
Dudes...LOL one of your best vids ever. 😆🤣
"slow gokarts are fun"
ike "that thing was fast"
I think I got the slowest kart on the track
@@CarsandCameras Last time I went to the local gokart place we asked one employee which was the fastest cart and they just said they are all the time. LOL right. My friend and I asked around but apparently no car enthusiasts were on duty that day haha
CarsandCameras their way faster than last year they just bought brand new carts there this year
Here in Utah we have a really fast cart track, as well as the world's longest indoor track.
Wayne Price there used to be a great outdoor track near me, then a local sports star crashed and broke his leg, sued them a new butthole and put them outta business.
Trail 70's rock. I have 2 of my own and I have owned 30 plus motorcycles over the years and the Honda ct trail 70 with out a doubt brings the most joy. Don't get me wrong I love big bore bikes but the the ct 70 brings out the kid in everyone who's has ridden one. Great video fellas and keep up the good work.
And omg ike u killed it with the penny skit you had me dying the whole time bravo
Awesome video guys. It was a pleasure to meet y’all on the trip and get to talk on the ferry. I was the guy with the white 4runner. Y’all deserve everything you’ve made for yourself. Y’all are great!
Thanks man!
I've been waiting for this for about 2 weeks Ike on a air mattress in the water lol.
This made my day, really cool episode!
But now all I can think about , is yall doing a Top Gear special!
Maybe a set budget to build a vehicle and a set of challenges? You know what I mean, maybe another sort of road trip, as this was really cool!
Its really awesome how much this channel has grown, both in video production, and in number of fans.
Been watching for a while, going on 5 years, I really love what you guys have done with the channel and brand, keep it up!
This is one of the funniest, best videos you guys have ever done, I've been subbed forever now and I have to say you guys outdid yourself!
Question; Is there any state that Issac doesn't have a place in? lol.. Good stuff, Gentlemen..🍻🍻
There is 4 seasons a year, cold as hell, wet as f*ck, hot as balls, and chrunch cronch season
Not if you live close to the equator. There it’s “wet and hot please kill me” or “dry and hot please bring the wet season back”
That’s great dude🤣
@@dylanzrim1011: LMAO
Pahhh I'm English we have all 4seasons in one day
I'm partial to chrunch cronch season myself
Come and see WV. I love this state. I'm originally from Ohio but have lived here several years. Such beautiful scenery and history here, and some of the most down to earth genuine people you will ever meet.
You missed the opportunity to sneak out to the island and scare Ike
He would be curled up whispering it will be fine to himself
he was too scared to..
James Porter has to been the day that we all get to see the kids and then they are going out and and then they will get to the party they want me and they are all good friends friends with them they don’t have have friends over friends with them
Well fellas, you are in my neck of the woods!!, ... oh, them crabs ike was talking about are sand fiddlers, but anyway, if I was you guys I would look into building a cool 😎 fishing 🎣 shack!!!!!, that would be some real cool segments!!!!!!, then maybe build a killer beach buggy!!!....., idk, just thinking out loud. ..
, anyway, ike, you got a great little piece of real estate there, im a little jealous!!!, reason being is i love to fish!!!, and I would be out there fishing, having some kick- ass fish fries, and just great 👍 parties!!!!!!. Well, great 👍 episode!!!!!, and keep on building them 😎 cool rides!!!!!!!..., and, aloha!!!!!!.... yours truly William
This was great, live the castaway reference. Mini bikes are definitely growing in popularity due to the grom n z125 but I love the vintage minis.
We need to do a group ride!
@@CarsandCameras I guarantee if you promote an event the turnout will probably suprise you especially with your following. Totally in if schedule permits!
Great video! These guys are awesome!
That's got to be the the greatest pirate I've ever seen.
:ike on his air mattress
So it would seem
Nice
"PIRATE MUSIC STARTS PLAYING"
I think they should make a boat build or a anfibious vehicle
@@buddersthepuunk hell yeah. John and ike shed bring back their amphibious cart they had.
@@buddersthepuunk they have
I like your extended range fuel tank that’s well smart and it is almost unnoticeable and I think you two guys are crazy 400 miles on those little toys
Thanks
I REALLY hope you guys do more of these adventure type videos. This was amazing! I'm sure it was a ton of work, but wow, you guys knocked it out of the park. It looked like a blast and was a joy to watch beginning to end.
Mi.
In the late 70's my friend and I did some epic journeys from Tustin Ca. to assorted beach city's along the So Cal coast on our 1969 Honda Mini Trail 50's. Having a minibike with a license plate opens doors that we as teens never thought to consider were technically "extreme" for a single cylinder 49cc bike. With the exception of learning about chain and sprocket wear the hard way ... we never had any other mechanical failures occur anywhere, let alone at distances so far from home that our parents wouldn't have believed us if we had to make that call. "Mom, can you pick us up in San Diego, my mini trail broke". Thanks Honda for helping me to never make that call !
"Island" Only at Low Tide! :D Just like the "Islands" you can buy off the coast of Florida. They are only "Islands" at Low Tide.
ravenlorans but with a little work you can make it a low tide island
house on stilts, done.
@@izzyplusplusplus1004 Going to have to Drill Deep to find bedrock. Or it will sink. Build a Retaining Wall and bring in Tons of Fill???? I See $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Most Fools that bought them here only use them during Low Tide for Party Spots. 1 Acre "Island" goes for Well over $100,000 and seen as High as a Million. Hell I have seen 40'x40' Beach Front sell for over a Million and have to build on Stilt so you don't destroy the Protected Vegetation. He'd be better off sell his portion of the Island.
@@ravenlorans Nah, one builds on full sand anchored neutral buoyancy sand floats. Cheap, installed right on site, movable, replaceable.
Needs = small barge or flat deck boat to move small equipment to the island, as well as materials.
One could build it all by oneself.
"Anchor" a used house boat in the middle of the island. It may be hard to drop it there initially but your cottage will be finished in one easy step. If the water ever gets high enough to lift the boat (hurricane) just make sure it is anchored really well with a massive chain.
You guys are the best watching this channel has brought me through a tough time in my life it brings me such joy as a addict that is in recovery reminded me how much fun minibikes n stuff that I enjoy so much I just want to say thank you very much. I tell everyone about this channel thanks for your help!!
Haha no way this is awesome. I used to vacation here all the time it’s an awesome place. Congrats
All I got to say is this channel has come a loooong ways since the the beginning. One of my absolute favorites on RUclips. Dude, you guys have a cars and cameras island! How sick is that! It may be a small beach but it IS a beach. Ya need some cold ones and a couple lawn chairs out there. I think its a pretty sweet island personally. Good video guys, keep up the awesome work!
I love seeing these old bikes be put to work like the old days 💪🏻
I am in the UK an I really enjoy your videos I have had to buy myself a mini bike/ honda chaly its awesome fun to ride. thanks keep the vids coming
Hindsight: should have watched this with some popcorn
This is a trip you'll never forget. That black and white shot at the very end is perfect!
Love it! This reminds me of
" Throttle Out" from Motor Trend . That was a GREAT series. I hope you all keep doing road trips like this.. its all about the journey
I'm way late to the comment party, but this was awesome. Sitting here in Canada, in February, I'd give just about anything for a warm summer day and a road trip like that. I'm so happy I found your channel, if I wasn't already subscribed, I would be after this.
Pennyyyy!! i'm sorry!! c'mon, give an Oscar to this man!! :-D
Love the longer segments guys keep them up
2nd. Love y’all been waiting for this since the insta post!!
That brought back some memories! 2013, a bunch of custom Ruckus', a few Zuma's and other assorted 2 wheelers all headed down 12 and hitting the ferries.
I don't know how I found y'alls channel but thanks for the vid!
Got my stickers in the mail today !! Thank you for the Autographs !!! That’s pretty cool !!
Awesome video guys, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 thank you for bringing us along for the adventure!
Again an amazing video, thanks for the fun and inspiration. You guys inspired me, As you probably can tell from m videos 😃
Thank you!
Nice vid! It must have been a monster to edit. Never really noticed there was a fourth person/cameraman along the trip. Everything seemed well lit and framed, and made sense in the story. Good job guys!
37:48 coffee out my nose, laughed so hard my sides hurt!
Ike, to say you own a piece of an island (albeit a small piece that you share with 5 other owners) is pretty cool. It's a bit of a novelty, but pretty cool. And hatteras is such a nice place. Enjoy it. awesome episode. If yall decide to do a Wva trip and I'm on your path, I'll certainly help out anyway that I can.
Like 30 people were 1st. That is more impressive than this whole video. 🤣
JK, excellent content as usual.
What would I rather see? ALL the ideas, ALL the destinations, ALL the vehicles, and lots more longer videos like this. If it works for you, the longer format works great for me too. TBH though I think you guys need a dog or two to come along on the journeys too, Staffy or Pit types make amazing road trip buddies. They love adventures and are so eager to please, I think a pair of Staffies would just add something extra to the channel. OK that was random as all hell, but it just seems like that's the only thing that could make this channel even better. I mean, you have an island, man! congrats on being a lucky SOB Ike lol
"IKE's Hermit Crab Emporium"
Boy was I happy when I saw cars and cameras uploaded with a 43 minute long video ooo wee I was happy. Great video guys very entertaining!
John, Ike and Owen's excellent adventure
Great adventure guys, really enjoyed that 👍🏻
I definitely enjoyed this style of episode
Wow, what a great little movie. I'm twice your ages gut enjoyed the video greatly! Well done! Would've liked to have seen y'all step off those bikes back at home. When the feeling came back to your hands and feet I bet ya had a Butt buzz for 2 days!
Quote of the day, "we have the serf board that I'm gonna be on and then it's down hill from there."

15:58 I approve of the stream light. Best flashlights by far! Also, great video, can’t wait to see the paved track island, lol
Y’all rode my old $100 jet ski at the first Busco beach event. I’ve got a couple more that I picked up for $100 that I would gladly loan out for next years adventure. As long as I get to tag along and run a camera or something.
Life's a beach,when you live on an island.A couple of good bikes,a few good friends,and there's summer.Great video guys.
The penny part!
This is awesome. Can you guys build touring/enduro style bikes that you can haul some gear with? Or maybe you guys could pull a little trailer or something 😃
I did a 4-mile float trip on the meramec river on an air with 4 friends a cooler full of drinks
Hell yeah! Let's hear it for gettin drunk...I mean Floatin on the Meramec!
Can't wait to do some drunk floating down a river with my sister next year
For all the problems the USA has, this exhibits one of it's all-time greatest strengths: An incredible diversity of nature, thousands upon thousands of miles of the greatest views a person could ever see and, for every Florida man, there's a friend like Ike or John, worth their weight in gold. Remember, we're all in this together, guys.
Next episode: Ike builds a dredge out of parts he has stashed in various rickety barns.
Funniest stuff I’ve heard in a while!!
Awesome first feature length episode! You guys killed it! Your content quality continues to get better and better. Keep up the great work, guys. 🤙🏼
More "Issac Island" Trips & Video's Please!
12:53 - reminds me of the iconic Easy Rider poster! 👍😎👍
Ike,s island, that would be a good title for a movie
Ike owning an island doesn't surprise me and neither does John owning Avon sunglasses.
I like this kind of long episodes of CarsandCameras, it is great to watch and chill..

Very happy i found this video. I would LOVE to see more "adventure" videos like this. 👍

Awesome video guys. Keep it up. Thanks for taking us along. 😎
When you got to the island all I could think of was the Zach Brown band video toes
you guys totally rock. What a pair you guys are and kudos for making that kind of trip. I had a 1971 ct70 years ago and it always seemed to need something else every time i rode it. Loved the bike, but hated the high maintenance of it...
Got to try that air nozzle trick to remove grips! 👍 Oh how I've struggled with those for many years...

The content, the editing, you guys: it's just perfect!
Ike had his own version of Cast Away 😂
Awesome work gentlemen. Ike, your knowledge of a broad spectrum of vehicles is impressive. I'm sure that I'm older than you and a machanic also. And it never fails that I learn something new each episode. You guys rock. Don't change for anyone!!!
“Will you be my friend?” 😂😂

If anyone looks it up its technically in Cape Carteret but pretty much the same thing.
