Thank you Jordan for speaking to a mainstream Muslim and giving us the courtesy to express our views, also much love for learning and retracting your previous mis-statements. I hope others also speak TO Muslims rather than AT us.

It's hard to consider Christianity when their books have anonymous authors, they believe God can become man and defecate, they think Moses ordered the deaths of women and children for no reason and other endless reasons such as the dishonesty of modern Christians who are liberals in disguise.

@Jason Wu Aisha’s older sister Asma was 29 at the time of her marriage and she was 10 years older making Aisha 19 at the time of marriage.
Also Muhammad was known to not let those under 15 accompany him in dangerous areas. It was noted that Aisha would accompany him in these areas again detracting from the notion she was 9.

I’m so thankful for Jordan Peterson. He was tearing up at the end when Mohammad said he was accepted in the Muslim community. It speaks volumes of his heart, not that I ever doubted it was in the wrong place. This was very enlightening and I think it really did wonders between these two cultures. I love how he is fighting for love and peace. I’m just so thankful to be alive the same time Jordan Peterson is truly.Thank you Jordan Peterson we’re glad you’re here.

This is the FIRST interview I have ever seen Mr. Jahid not become militant and overly dominating. It's also the first interview where I've seen such a GOOD and full figured digestion and processing of information coming to such a peaceful and hopeful conclusion with Dr. Peterson becoming emotional at the end of the stressful session and Mr. Jahid actually softening and being very generous and endearing. THIS is a brilliant stride toward finding peaceful common ground between two very powerful men AND their ideologies. Magnificent.

Im so glad he has an open mind to the point where he actually gets an "Islamic expert" on his own platform to discuss such important topics, he didn't have to do this but he'd rather learn from someone who actually studies the religion religiously lol

It worked because Jordan Peterson is brilliant and had no agenda other than to listen carefully and draw out ideas. Mohammed Hijab had/has an agenda and it is proselyting Islam in hopes of making converts. I found him pushy, aggressive, calculating, and very naive thinking that he is going to wow audiences with his recitations of the Q which is really a rote process with no clear processing to any depth beyond parroting back text. Peterson was gentle with him but could have pressed him much harder on many aspects of the conversation. While I appreciate Peterson’s approach, the zealotry of MH and others of is ilk makes them so dense they think they are very smart and can almost simply declare themselves the victor at the beginning when if fact they have presented no depth or faced truly difficult rigorous examination.

They are clearly more modest and aren’t indulged in the materialistic temporary world. We have women undergoing all sorts of life threatening surgeries, dangerous diets and many more issues such as mental disorders because they can’t be “that” perfect being.
Islam honours and protects women, Islam provided women with rights 1400 years ago when women’s suffrage was still going on even within the past century.
Men and women covering their awrah protects them. Women are also protected from the wicked male lustful gaze. Women are also meant to be accompanied by male guardians.
Following in course creates harmony and stability in society.

@@LanaW123 A lack of common sense from your narrow angle of view, but from a different perspective, say the woman who was dressed, it stems from a good trait rarely seen in the west called modesty. The true perception and meaning of it and not your own opinion of it. See, the west sees dressing modestly (for females) as wearing clothes that are what they deem nice, comfortable and casual/formal with mild parts of the female skin (including bare swimwear) showing as being acceptable. But where's the modesty in that? I've never seen a nun during summer strip down to a tight dress or bare swimwear, regardless of weather or climate. Why? Go question her actions. And why is Mary always drawn being fully dressed from head to toe? If you say times have changed, well that means you submitted to the trials of time and temptations of the devil. We did not. We stood the trial of time and kept with our faith and deviated from the temptations of the devil. We dress more like the nuns and Mary than female Christians do today. The woman is the opposite of a man, and the male is attracted to the female. By nature of course, males find females attractive and vice-versa. So, how to solve this? Men lower their gaze around women and women dress properly and cover rather than flaunt and show off their bodies to accepting immodest men. With something as simple as this, followed by keeping in check the boyfriend/girlfriend drama, rape percentages, sex assaults, abortions will see an ENORMOUSLY dramatic decrease. Follow that by cuts in alcohol and gambling and you see again another drop in things like death rates, murders, suicides, accidents, drug abuse, jail percentages, etc. They're prohibited for a reason. So look into things a bit deeper sister. God bless.

Abu Al-Qasim At-Tabarani recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Messenger of Allah was asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! Will we have sexual intercourse with our wives in Paradise” He said, “The man will be able to have sexual intercourse with a hundred virgins in one day.”
      Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadith Number 2536:

And one of the best way to keep men on track and get them to do what’s right is to promise them a hereafter that will fulfill one of their wishes. But let me ask you, Are you going to isolate Islam to these Hadiths and verse?. There is a bigger picture. This reward and much more comes after you have proven yourself to be modest and pure in this world. Not have 100 virgins in this world if you could. I know most men in the west will if they could. Get it. But we can’t. We have to marry and live responsibly and go through tests and trials.
5 pillars and six articles of faith and hundreds of other responsibilities, but you wanna twist the Hadiths and verses and make people assume Islam is all about something it actually isn’t?Unbelievable. Even the word Islam means submission to God.
That is the main purpose of life according to Quran, the speech of Allah:
To submit and worship one God.

@Niranjan It never happened. Quran is just telling the truth. It’s you who are denying the fact that he lived.
He was protected by the creator of the heavens and the earth.
This is according to the Quran.
      Now let’s see your paradigm.
Then Jesus went with them (B)to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.” 37 And taking with him (C)Peter and (D)the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, (E)“My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and (F)watch[a] with me.” 39 And going a little farther he fell on his face (G)and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let (H)this cup pass from me; (I)nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”
      Mathews 26: 36 onwards
Now two things here, your God’s prayer was rejected by himself.
Or is your God is asking for help from another God by saying ‘ Not as I will, but as you will’?
      And he was still rejected.
And than he Goes on to get crucified, and says:
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is to say, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?”
      Mathew 27:46
I don’t know how many contradictions you can make out of this.
Try to explain these verses( and many more like John 17:3 and Luke 18:19 and try to solve the logical problem of trinity.
And when you do that, it will explain everything.

He cut Jordan off continuously. He was extremely defensive but he respects Jordan's high intellectualism, which is why he restrained himself from acting like that 9 year old. And, at one point, he said "I want to be completely honest", as if he wasn't being completely honest all along; & Jordan graciously called him out on it. Muslims can lie to infidels & I'm sure Jordan knows it.
In Islam, Taqiyya (Arabic: تقیة, romanized: taqiyyah, lit. 'prudence')[1][2] is a precautionary dissimulation or denial of religious belief and practice.[1][3][4][5] Generally, taqiyya is the action of committing a sinful act (such as feigning unbelief) for a pious goal.[6]
Hiding one's beliefs has been a feature of Islam since its earliest days, and is acknowledged by Muslims of virtually all persuasions.[7] However, the use of taqiyya varies, especially between Sunni and Shia Muslims. Sunni Muslims gained political supremacy over time and therefore only occasionally found the need to practice taqiyya. On the other hand, the minority Shia communities developed taqiyya as an instinctive method of self-preservation and protection in hostile environments.[8]
A related term is kitmān (lit. "action of covering, dissimulation"), which has a more specific meaning of dissimulation by silence or omission.[9][10] This practice is emphasized in Shi'ism whereby adherents are permitted to conceal their religion when under threat of persecution or compulsion.[3][11]
Taqiyya was initially practiced under duress by some of Muhammad's companions.[12] Later, it became particularly important for Shias due to their experience as a persecuted religious minority.[11][13] According to Shia doctrine, taqiyya is permissible in situations where there is overwhelming danger of loss of life or property and where no danger to religion would occur thereby.[11] Taqiyya has also been politically legitimised, particularly in Twelver Shi'ism, to maintain unity among Muslims and fraternity among Shia clerics.[14][15]
Yarden Mariuma, sociologist at Columbia University, writes: "Taqiyya is an Islamic juridical term whose shifting meaning relates to when a Muslim is allowed, under Sharia law, to lie. A concept whose meaning has varied significantly among Islamic sects, scholars, countries, and political regimes."[16]
