Yes I agree..I love that too.. but we're expected to tolerate all kinds of ideas we don't agree with because we don't want to be perceived as dictators.. God wants us to come to him by knowledge not by force This discussion is very inspirational
Honestly though...what's wrong with saying that? No one believes what they believe because they think they are wrong. I think it is impossible to assume that you know better then someone else that has different ideas then you if, having met their ideas, you reject them. Better to tolerate people you think are wrong. Better TO tell them they are wrong if asked about it! Be honest about the disagreements, and teach the world to not be offended by assumptions everyone makes.
Point 1 is that Mummamod was born 600 years after Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross and both the old and New Testament had been around for all those years beforehand and so a lot of the Islamic book has so much of the holy bible within its pages or at least the shadow of God’s Word.
It is very easy to refute Islam! Because the God of Islam does not know that according to Christianity God incarnated True love = the love of God! *God himself went to the cross for you out of love for you as a human being* Philippians 2:5-8
Islam is a driven oratory system in many instances (rather than idle discussion), so sometimes it can be mistaken for lecture due to the style of teaching. Nonetheless it's confidence is why it ended Christianity long ago in most places and left them with nothing but churches full of old losers. If you haven't noticed youth influencers are ALL Islamic. Be it Tiktok, or British majority influencers like Andrew Tate.
This is how a debate should unfold literally and not screaming and interrupting one another and not be able to speak, this is education at its finest, just beautiful for the ears.
*here YHWH says in the Old Testament he is the son who was pierced in a prophecy! 6th century before Jesus Christ* Zechariah 12,10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit[1] of grace and supplication. They will look on[2] me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
We see clearly! In John 19:37 "" "" You will look at the one you have pierced «" "" But you only look at one according to Zechariah 12:10 and that is YHWH !!! You only look at YHWH! So John 19:37 contradicts all newer versions of Zechariah 12:10 where another was pierced than YHWH !! YHWH speaks about this in Zechariah from his point of view and the apostles from the point of view of man! because you can see who you have pierced! And that's the one who says YOU LOOK AT ME !!! So the fact is YHWH says you look at ME !! And who are you looking at;). Exactly the one they pierced!
My friend according to textual criticism, the matter is clear! According to Zechariah, YHWH was pierced! because the Christian writings of Zechariah and the confirmation text in John are the oldest sources that exist!

Agreed. The word “Iman” in Islam, which is often incompletely translated as “faith” or “belief”, actually encompasses faith in the heart, affirmation with the tongue and manifestation in action. Without all components, one’s “Iman” is considered incomplete.

You have to pray toward a rock that has a black stone in it - idolatry; 3. You have to give charity only to Muslim causes. You are not to support other causes. - But you claim Islam is a religion of peace and mercy. What a joke! 4. You have the fasting but when people cannot fast during the month, you pay somebody to fast on your behalf, and you earn righteousness! - But you deny what Christ Jesus did for you on the cross and His resurrection so that believers can get His righteousness (Rom4:25); 5. The way Jordan Peterson looks Jonathan pageau when he speaks make me more fascinated towards Peterson thought and the way he contradicts and accept the things also stucks on my mind.
Been a beneficiary of Dr Peterson’s work for years, but I feel like sometimes he overcomplicates things unnecessarily for himself. Of course there are nuances and levels of meaning that are worth investigating in intellectual topics, but there are also many things in the world and about ourselves that can and should be and indeed are very simple. A Chinese idiom states “大道至简”, “the highest truth is the simplest”. I don’t think it’s beneficial to always jump to the symbolism of things without carefully but also simply looking at their perceptible reality. Perhaps he can attempt to give some simple answers to the simple questions that Mohamed hijab asked, such as “where are we from?”, “where are we going?”, “what’s the purpose of life”, etc. And if he doesn’t have readily available answers, perhaps it wouldn’t harm to look at some simple answers already existing, and looking at them with a humble and curious mind. Might be interesting what he will find.

those are not simple questions though. For someone who follows God it is because we are given the answer. if you are not a Christian, Muslim or Jew... there is no defined meaning of life. I imagine that you are someone who was raised in a faith. For Jordan Peterson he is from an athiest household. It's not nuanced at all and his faith is greater than someone who has known God his whole life.
I second McLellan's comment about those questions not being simple. In fact, those are some of the deepest existential questions that can be asked. It's far from clear what our purpose in life is. Do we address that question at the level of the individual or broadly at the level of humanity as a whole? Is the answer different depending on the level of analysis? If so, is it radically different or only somewhat different? Etc., etc. As far as I can tell, the only truth that is at least initially simple is the affirmation that truth exists. Beyond that, the complications are legion.

Jordan Peterson’s answer to whether he will convert to Islam if there is evidence that it is true was epic: No. Because that’s not how I evaluate the situation….. the proof of faith is the attractiveness of its adherence. Are you a shining example of the Muslim faith? How hard do you shine?……. That is the very big problem. No shine. No conversion. Our belief or our faith can be seen by the fruit by the action. As Jesus said: by the fruit you will know the tree. And Peterson just crushed Hijab. 🔥
If you shine the way you claim and follow the faith as it is, billions wouldn't have left the faith. You don't pay attention to.your reality, you live in your head.
My take away on this video is when Jordan tells us that by volunteering to confront our fears even if we're not calm it changes us to become braver around other things that cause us fear and not manifest that fear elsewhere. Thank you for this takeaway.

The 2 main differences between Christianity: 1) -Yeshua claimed to be (and in fact, is) God. -Mohammed's brother declared him to be a prophet. 2) -Yeshua instructed His followers to spread the gospel by simply telling everyone, not by force. - Mohammed set the example for his followers by leading them in rampages across Arabia, killing some and making slaves of others who refused to convert.

1:32:00 - Correct me if I am wrong. It is said that the Holy Quoran were written by several of Muhammad's companions, right? And we know about the analytic mind of people living in the desert. Didn't they developed algebra which helped humanity to be enlightened in a manner of developing critical thinking? Even the alphabet I believe is derived from them? My point is that the people involved in the foundation of Islam, and not just them, but everyone living in the region, probably due to being Nomads and due to the emptiness of the desert, their minds evolved much faster and higher than most of the population around the world. Remember Einstein, right? He had rationally made use of his mind by ushering experiments in his mind. Imagining and theorizing the whys and hows of the events and natural circumtances surrounding him. And how's that developed in him? I would say, definitely because of his character of being a loner. When people are alone whether by choice or by nature, along the path many of us developed an altruistic point of view in our subconscious collectively created by our experiences, our consciousness, our upbringing and our social nature as a defensive way of not succumbing to lunacy. And the desert people surviving in isolation since after the last ice age bore these gifts of rationalinality, analytic minds and continous flow of hope that like a heart beats its highs and lows, beginning and end on a minute by minute basis. That's why just like what you said, the "predictions" in the Quoran that you mentioned of actually did took place. Those events were predicted by highly analytics and rational companions of Muhammad. And those events are also highly analyzable and predictable due to tangible and available data. The heck! Stock Brokers, Economists and Analysts of our current generation can predict what might be the state of our world tomorrow, next week, a month or even after a century. The difference of a prophesy to a prediction is its ambiguity. Because it should cater to the greater populace and transcend past each of their intrinsic cultural and moral values as it dance its way towards the message and unifying revelation.
when Quran was revealed to Muhammed (PBUH) bits by bit from God through Gabriel, he would recite in front of companions and they would memorize it or some who had means would note it down. After demise of Muhammed (PBUH) during the reign of Calpih Abu Bakr Battle of Yamamah took place in which approximately 70 disciples were martayred and they were memorisers of Quran, it brought concerned to the calpih so he ordered to collect the verses and write it down in a single book, with every verse 2 witnesses were provided to approve it. So the predictions were directly from Muhammed PBUH (which were obviously told by GOD) and these predictions are not just one or two rather they were numerous. Astrologers held prestige in an Arabian Peninsula, so they (astrologer) definitely knew that the predictions weren't coming from an astrologer..... Just like in the times of Moses sorcery was common but sorcerers knew the miracle of Moses wasn't a sorcery! As for saying 'the events were highly predictable' so was it common to predict "Arab competing of skyscrappers" in 6th century, i mean it wasn't even possible to predict this in 16s or 17s
@chitchat5195 you speak in terms of facts, but you are merely reciting a conceptualised version of what was said. When you speak in hypothesis, or a literary review, I will read this - until then, stop

He is the quintessential Islamist. You saw him challenging "Hindutva fascists" in the backdrop of the organised Islamist attacks on Hindus in Leicester and Birmingham by mobs summoned from other places. Islamists have always followed a familiar pattern of violent attacks followed by vituperation and victimhood claims. This is standard practice for them in any context where they are not hopelessly outnumbered. Like the British Establishment and media, you can feign that all are equally responsible or even blame the victims. The problem doesn't go away and the ideology only hardens in the fullness of time.
Much appreciate for this conversation. This is what can unite all of us. Not debates. Only conversation. Only finding similarity in our religion. Thank you, Dr. Peterson!
So much of my time I spend feeling so lost and confused by the world that I live in. Jordan Peterson is one of the only people who has ever brought any true relief to that feeling.
Spend some time watching Jonathan Pageau explain a Symbolic perspective of the Christian story. You will find that the Christian story is a way to explain the patterns of how our reality manifest... in other words, a way to talk about and get closer to an understanding of consciousness of the Logos. That brings in Plato and the Church Fathers.....a journey for sure.
It may be somewhat of an understatement to say that he is good at his job. But for all that, he is just a man, and if meaning is your struggle, Christ promises that if you come to the door and knock he will answer - for you too. You do have to knock though.

Love it 😍😍😍 But problem is people who believe in this can't never be rulers or leaders. Wish our leaders believed this phrase more than their religions or whatever. If humanity is so wise to learn from past.
The best argument against this pipe dream is a five minute conversation with the average person. I personally do not bear the responsibility of anything anyone else has done, is doing, or will ever do. I am responsible only for what I am doing now. The past doesn't exist. I have learned from my "mistakes". I am still alive and well. Many/most people are simply not bright enough (call it the required level of consciousness to be able to) to learn from their mistakes, yet, somehow, they are also "alive and well". Study the past 10,000 years of human history. Don't you think that if the human species was intelligent/wise enough to learn from its mistakes, it would have done so by now? No, that said, we all die. Therefore, this world with everything in it, including humans, is only temporary and is, therefore, only just an illusion. Only the permanent is real. So it really doesn't matter what you do or say within this "playground" we wrongly call reality. Life is about experience. And if we learn from our experiences along the way, great. If not, great. Either way, life persists.
One of my favorite qualities of Dr Peterson is his sincere conviction that "the ultimate victory is peace", as he said during the channel 4 "discussion".
I've been an athiest all 32 years of my life, more attracted to science and things that I can see or prove. To the point I've debated people in the past about how stupid the idea of a god is. Recently, I began to find myself being more and more interested in religion. I've no idea why, I just know that I felt a calling to learn more. Now baring in mind that I've been staunchly against the existence of a god, I started to get this strange feeling when I was doing things. The feeling of being watched. The feeling of being judged on my actions. As crazy as this sounds in words, I began to think to myself "he's watching. I shouldn't be doing this." I also began to get this feeling of presence. Like no matter what I'm doing there's a presence next to me and I'm apologising for certain things. If you've lived my life, you'd understand how crazy it sounds to me to be apologising in my head to God. As I walk, as I work, no matter what I'm doing it's all I'm thinking about. Apologising for all the people I've hurt in my life and hoping I'm forgiven. Even as I sit typing right now, I can feel a presence watching over me and it's almost to the level I feel like I'm typing this to spread the word. To open up someone else's eyes. I also started reading the bible not too long ago, and again, if you knew the life I was from you'd understand how crazy it is to even have a bible, it really was a huge step. Every single person in my life is completely non religious and would laugh if they seen my bible. I've had recent conversations where workmates have laughed off the idea of a god, they think the idea is something to mock religious people over. I didn't defend it. I didn't tell them i was religious. I didn't challenge them and I've found myself feeling riddled with guilt that I never. One of the arguments was "I grew out of religion when I was about 12 when i realised Santa wasn't real either." Unfortunately, I don't have the wisdom, or the information to defend or debate it right now, but I will have, eventually. Full disclosure, I still don't fully know if I'm Christian, I still have doubts, I'm still very much unsure what this journey is. But hopefully it starts to become clearer and clearer over the next few years. If if you've made it this far, thank you! I really appreciate your time🙂

Very similar life experience… there is a tremendous value in the teachings of Jesus and Christianity. Recently joined the Catholic Church… I have a duality in my mind, that it all could be made up and it could all be literally real… the fact I show up and opened myself to Christianity has been very rewarding still. Islam, however, after spending countless hours, days, weeks into learning about it… “Islam dies without lies” and we have to stop being polite about this dangerous perversion of Christianity and Judaism.
Well done, J Pageau for truly addressing the ' elephant in the room '... Inciting violence is wrong on all levels. You cannot pretend to be a true believer in your faith...Whichever that may be, when you are constantly showing yourself to be one sided and aggressive in your nature. May god bless us all. 🙏
Like i just told my son today ,"Always be willing to hear both sides of an argument and never let the conversation break down . As a society, we really do depend on each other, and it's taken centuries to get here !" ❤😊
I’m glad people instill this in themselves and their families. It’s quite beautiful in a world of chaos. I do have to note though that conversation does tend to break down still but there’s absolutely still hope.
That is the very skill that has disappeared from universities: debate, discussion, apologetics, conversation. The whole reason for the existence of universities and town halls- inquiry, examination, development of new and better ways to conduct modes and methods of exploration- has been dispensed with only to have been replaced with myopic and soul-crushing oppression and ideological dogma. RUclips is the new university, and it, too, is slowly being eroded.
Can you please meet and have these kind of coversations consistently, and have a topic to discussion each time? Because we need more of these conversations.
Yes. Without Jonathon. The man just stayed silent and refused to engage the whole time, especially when Hijab gave objective and rational criticism to Christian doctrines. Pathetic. Why was he invited? Lmao. Invite someone else.
I don’t see that philosophy most of the time and philosophy is waist of time and this is the real problem with Dr. Peterson he is good in his psychology knowledge but regarding religion he is kind of lost cause religion must be combined with reasoning and facts and evidences in addition to spiritual faith
I remember about 25 years ago on sundays nights Dennis Prager had a local show in Los Angeles called Religion on the Line and weekly he had a rabbi, pastor, catholic priest, Hindu and an Iman discussing the issues of the day. There was no screaming, no grandstanding, no speeches but a beautiful civilized discussion on issues of the day. Such a beautiful time when people knew what civil discussions meant.

I am a Christian who was raised Southern Baptist but now I am non-denominational. I've always had questions about faith and religion and how it correlates to mine or how it doesn't but here's where I'm stumped: In our Christian faith we are taught to honor our Mother & Father & so therefore in a lot of Christian households, we are taught about the Bible. So how can we look at other religions as being "wrong" whenever they likely had a similar way of adopting religion (through family)? I have met so many wonderful people from all different religions & it's incredibly hard to condemn someone for their religious beliefs because we can't even collectively define religion itself. Just to reiterate, I believe the Gospel but I would like someone from the Christian faith to explain to me how someone who was born Muslim and died Muslim who never knew Jesus will not be entering the Kingdom of Heaven??? Any thoughts on this would be welcomed.

What a great video. Love listening to all of your thoughts and concepts. What an incredible mind. I admire your precision of speech and depth of thought. What an incredible discussion. So glad I could listen to his
I can respond if you like. I suppose you could call me a Christian as I try to follow the words of Jesus and the bible, search for a closer relationship with God, and go to church meetings. The consistent “evidence” supporting my own belief in what (and who) I consider to be the way and truth has been the vast array of modern psychological, sociological and psychoanalytical findings that seem to fall perfectly in place with what God communicates to us in the bible, especially in Jesus’ teachings. Peterson points out quite a few more consistencies in this discussion, which I found fascinating. On top of that, I love his articulation of the idea that looking at stories in the bible as literal, historical, somewhat ephemeral incidences are in a way downplaying their eternal significance, because they were true then, they are now, and they will be in the future.
On top of that, I also loved hearing from Mohammed about the consistencies with modern life which his holy book have described. On the darker side, I do believe his fervent (and no doubt religiously dutiful) attempts to convince the other two of the higher value or more rightful place of his own religion was kind of missing the point of where this conversation was intended to go. I hoped the core similarities and differences would be discussed in order to reach a further understanding of how we can coexist without conflict, but as Mohammed had suggested a few times, unity is not his main goal.
Damn, unfortunate that video cuts off at the end. For shame that daily wire didn't include the last part of this interview on their website. That was an important line Peterson was on.
In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful Allah Glory to him said: Indeed, Allah chose Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of Imrân [father of Mary] above all people. -33- They are descendants of one another. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. -34- ˹Remember˺ when the wife of ’Imrân said, “My Lord! I dedicate what is in my womb entirely to Your service,1 so accept it from me. You ˹alone˺ are truly the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” -35-When she delivered, she said, “My Lord! I have given birth to a girl,”-and Allah fully knew what she had delivered-“and the male is not like the female. I have named her Mary, and I seek Your protection for her and her offspring from Satan, the accursed.”-36- So her Lord accepted her graciously and blessed her with a pleasant upbringing-entrusting her to the care of Zachariah. Whenever Zachariah visited her in the sanctuary, he found her supplied with provisions. He exclaimed, “O Mary! Where did this come from?” She replied, “It is from Allah. Surely Allah provides for whoever He wills without limit.”-37- Then and there Zachariah prayed to his Lord, saying, “My Lord! Grant me-by your grace-righteous offspring. You are certainly the Hearer of ˹all˺ prayers.”-38- So the angels called out to him while he stood praying in the sanctuary, “Allah gives you good news of ˹the birth of˺ John who will confirm the Word of Allah and will be a great leader, chaste, and a prophet among the righteous.”-39- Zachariah exclaimed, “My Lord! How can I have a son when I am very old and my wife is barren?” He replied, “So will it be. Allah does what He wills.” -40- Zachariah said, “My Lord! Grant me a sign.” He said, “Your sign is that you will not ˹be able to˺ speak to people for three days except through gestures. Remember your Lord often and glorify ˹Him˺ morning and evening.”-41- And ˹remember˺ when the angels said, “O Mary! Surely Allah has selected you, purified you, and chosen you over all women of the world. -42- O Mary! Be devout to your Lord, prostrate yourself ˹in prayer˺ and bow along with those who bow down.”-43- This is news of the unseen that We reveal to you ˹O Prophet˺. You were not with them when they cast lots to decide who would be Mary’s guardian, nor were you there when they argued ˹about it˺.-44- ˹Remember˺ when the angels proclaimed, “O Mary! Allah gives you good news of a Word1 from Him, his name will be the Messiah,2 Jesus, son of Mary; honoured in this world and the Hereafter, and he will be one of those nearest ˹to Allah˺.-45- And he will speak to people in ˹his˺ infancy and adulthood and will be one of the righteous.” -46- Mary wondered, “My Lord! How can I have a child when no man has ever touched me?” An angel replied, “So will it be. Allah creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He simply tells it, ‘Be!’ And it is! -47- And Allah will teach him writing and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel,-48- and ˹make him˺ a messenger to the Children of Israel ˹to proclaim,˺ ‘I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I will make for you a bird from clay, breathe into it, and it will become a ˹real˺ bird-by Allah’s Will. I will heal the blind and the leper and raise the dead to life-by Allah’s Will. And I will prophesize what you eat and store in your houses. Surely in this is a sign for you if you ˹truly˺ believe. -49- And I will confirm the Torah revealed before me and legalize some of what had been forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so be mindful of Allah and obey me. -50- Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him ˹alone˺. This is the Straight Path.’” -51- When Jesus sensed disbelief from his people, he asked, “Who will stand up with me for Allah?” The disciples replied, “We will stand up for Allah. We believe in Allah, so bear witness that we have submitted.” -52- ˹They prayed to Allah,˺ “Our Lord! We believe in Your revelations and follow the messenger, so count us among those who bear witness.” -53- And the disbelievers made a plan ˹against Jesus˺, but Allah also planned-and Allah is the best of planners.-54- ˹Remember˺ when Allah said, “O Jesus! I will take you1 and raise you up to Myself. I will deliver you from those who disbelieve, and elevate your followers above the disbelievers until the Day of Judgment. Then to Me you will ˹all˺ return, and I will settle all your disputes. -55- As for those who disbelieve, I will subject them to a severe punishment in this life and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers. -56- And as for those who believe and do good, they will be rewarded in full. And Allah does not like the wrongdoers.” -57- We recite ˹all˺ this to you ˹O Prophet˺ as one of the signs1 and ˹as˺ a wise reminder. -58- Indeed, the example of Jesus in the sight of Allah is like that of Adam. He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be!” And he was! -59- This is the truth from your Lord, so do not be one of those who doubt. -60- }} Al-Imaran Al-Quran Al-Kareem

The discussion between Dr. Jordan B. Peterson and Mohammed Hijab was not a “pro-contra battle” between Christianity and Islam, but an attempt to explore deeper questions about human existence, morality, and truth. Both participants demonstrated that genuine conversations do not have to be confrontational but can be rooted in respect, openness, and a shared pursuit of wisdom. Reducing this dialogue to a simplistic conflict misses its essence: it was about building bridges between cultures and religions and addressing the universal challenges of faith, responsibility, and ethics. Such discussions should not be used to declare winners or losers but to challenge and enrich our own understanding of the world.

They were told that that's how it's written in the q'ran & haddiths, that's how it'll remain. The result was a ban on muslims withim the US. Infortunately, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Lindsay Graham & 1 or 2 other retards removed yhay law, in the 60's or 70's. That's treason & punishable by death. muslims are blooded from an early age & are raised to - expected to inflict fear, terror & atrocities upon the infidels via the 7 types of jihad, on every occassion, while being taught to deceive manipulate & destroy everything that wasn't made via allah. Look up taharoosh/taharuush. The way muslims achieve their halal food, is the same way the satanist elites get their adrenalin packed blood from tortured children before they're killed. They both pray to the devil & get along like a house on fire. To understand the reason why they always act like cut snakes, search for video & text on halal, adrenalin, epi-pen & adrenochrome processes. All are part of the global cabal & must be forced to leave our countries - receive the penalty of death, if they don't comply.

Hijab is not well equipped at all...only two people were here to understand and the other was only geared to convert. It will be quite some time before Mojab gets it. But in Mojab's lack of sincere engagement, we at least understand that Fundamental Muslims will oft express no particular position in understanding/appreciating the other...only to correct/bring the other into order..This is telling, leaving us with the question...will fundamental Islam ever have the ability to engage in equivalence...?
This was absolutely incredible! I just love to see people who have very different worldviews getting along, agreeing to disagree, and having the bravery to get right to the point about things people in the past would have been KILLED over to discuss. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to hear this conversation. A lot of us are questioning what is happening around us more and more. Such discussions have traditionally been held between intellectuals, philosophers, and theologians, leaving the common man in the dark. Being an audience to such conversations helps sift through some thoughts, biases, and concerns we have in a seemingly more confused world. This hit the mark.

Hay Dave, How much do you know about Bali? Hope you've paid due diligence to extensive research. Islands are no longer the tropical paradises they more or less were as little as 30 years ago. Crime is nothing compared to just a small section of Chicago, or New York... pick a city. Last month there were 27 property crimes. Food is becoming an issue, and it shouldn't be! Because they're suppose to by growing and fishing for their food, but Westernization fffks things up! Anyway, the real threats living in Bali is it's in the region known as the "Ring of Fire" and it has 3 active volcanoes on the Island. Make sure you're on the Western side should one of those bad boys decide to go off Big Time like Krakatoa did ! Good Luck!

Algeria was a Christian nation before it was conquered by Muslims in the 7th century. So, if we are going to talk about the West having amnesia, well; so.... how far back do we want to go?
All north Africa never been christian they might been some christians living there and for sure they’re still living but as nation dominated christianity that is not true
Wow, if you think that Algeria was conquered by muslims then you should really fact check your history. Algerians were successfull in holding back Muslim conquerers (check out for example the famous Kahina), but interesting enough over time they were sending their next generation leadership to study in Arab countries (because they were leading in education and knowledge) which is where they started picking up Islam and coming back to their tribes and regions as muslim. So you can say that they won the wars against the Muslim invaders, but became muslim through a much more knowledge based transmission of religion. I would recommend work by the historian Benjamin Stora. For instance, the english summary of his several volume work (originally in french) called "Algeria, 1830-2000". He has sections on this part of the Algerian history in the first chapter of the book. The main focus of the book is as the title suggests the french colonization.

Having real conversations is what is going to help us all to live and work together as well as learn to respect one another for our differences. God Bless all of you all.
Basic Islam (*eg allah+Mohd+black stone…):
1. You have to believe in allah and equate a man by the name Mohammad next to him - idolatry;
2. You have to pray toward a rock that has a black stone in it - idolatry;
3. You have to give charity only to Muslim causes. You are not to support other causes. - But you claim Islam is a religion of peace and mercy. What a joke!
4. You have the fasting but when people cannot fast during the month, you pay somebody to fast on your behalf, and you earn righteousness! - But you deny what Christ Jesus did for you on the cross and His resurrection so that believers can get His righteousness (Rom4:25);
5. You go on perform the pilgrimage, but we heard what happened to the women (*being sexually abused) at the “holey place”. - Al Fadi

@@hzjc9680 1- Yes, you have to believe in Allah and his messenger Mohammed(PBUH) and he is just a messenger and a prophet we do not consider him equal to Allah.
2- We pray towards the Kaaba and not worship the Kaaba, before our direction was changed to Kaaba the Mohammed (PBUH) and the Muslims at that time used to face Al-Aqsa Masjid which is in Jurusalem, and then Allah commanded them to face the Kaaba.
3-Muslims are not prohibited from giving charity to anyone unless they’re fighting against us.
4- You’re wrong again, someone cannot fast in your stead even if you pay them, you have to fast yourself and if you’re unable to because you’re traveling, sick, on menstrual cycle etc you make up for that fast by fasting in another month for how many fasts you missed and if you’re old, have a condition that makes you unable to fast because it puts you in danger you don’t have to fast instead you feed 1 person per day for how many fasts you missed, e.g you didn’t fast for 29 or 30 days in Ramadan you feed 29 or 30 people total 1 per day.

Allah Glory to him said:”Those who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. The Messiah ˹himself˺ said, “O Children of Israel! Worship Allah-my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever associates others with Allah ˹in worship˺ will surely be forbidden Paradise by Allah. Their home will be the Fire. And the wrongdoers will have no helpers.-72-Those who say, “Allah is one in a Trinity,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. There is only One God. If they do not stop saying this, those who disbelieve among them will be afflicted with a painful punishment.-73-Will they not turn to Allah in repentance and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.-74- The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger. ˹Many˺ messengers had ˹come and˺ gone before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They both ate food.1 See how We make the signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded ˹from the truth˺!-75- Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “How can you worship besides Allah those who can neither harm nor benefit you? And Allah ˹alone˺ is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”-76- Say, “O People of the Book! Do not go to extremes in your faith beyond the truth, nor follow the vain desires of those who went astray before ˹you˺. They misled many and strayed from the Right Way.”-77- The disbelievers among the Children of Israel were condemned in the revelations of David and Jesus, son of Mary. That was for their disobedience and violations.-78- They did not forbid one another from doing evil. Evil indeed was what they did!-79- You see many of them taking the disbelievers1 as allies. Truly wicked are their misdeeds, which have earned them Allah’s wrath. And they will be in everlasting torment.-80- Had they believed in Allah, the Prophet, and what has been revealed to him, they would have never taken those ˹pagans˺ as allies. But most of them are rebellious-81- You will surely find the most bitter towards the believers to be the Jews and polytheists and the most gracious to be those who call themselves Christian. That is because there are priests and monks among them and because they are not arrogant.-82- When they listen to what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears for recognizing the truth. They say, “Our Lord! We believe, so count us among the witnesses.-83- Why should we not believe in Allah and the truth that has come to us? And we long for our Lord to include us in the company of the righteous.”-84-So Allah will reward them for what they said with Gardens under which rivers flow, to stay there forever. And that is the reward of the good-doers.-85-“ Al-Maida Al Quran Al-Kareem
In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful
Allah Glory to him said:
Indeed, Allah chose Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of Imrân [father of Mary] above all people.

The Doctor is just a man with degrees that has major illusions of grandeur. Craves the adulation. He is no smarter than you. Do not give these kind of folks your power. Question, think for yourself. Just the start of another cult. He scares the crap out of me.
those are not simple questions though.
@@merquiadesmclellan2800 JP does not believe in god. If he did, he wouldn't keep dodging the question. The most he's said is that God might exist. Making him essentially agnostic. Therefore, his faith is nonexistent.

To all Muslims! Son of God means NOT SON! What is called the son of God is the word of God = god himself! Which has nothing to do with a child (son)! Thus, the Son of God is incarnated as the human Jesus and the human Jesus is therefore referred to as a son, which does not mean a son!
Hebr 1,2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, *by whom also he made the worlds;*
as everyone can see the term Son of God refers to the Word of God = god himself! For through that God created the worlds! *what a mistake in the Qur'an!*

1) -Yeshua claimed to be (and in fact, is) God.

You are smarter than MH, should be you in the chair
when Quran was revealed to Muhammed (PBUH) bits by bit from God through Gabriel, he would recite in front of companions and they would memorize it or some who had means would note it down.

Peterson!

“We bare the responsibility of the past, but the responsibility is to learn from it.”
Love it 😍😍😍
But problem is people who believe in this can't never be rulers or leaders. Wish our leaders believed this phrase more than their religions or whatever. If humanity is so wise to learn from past.
Absolutely
The past has shaped the present and future for a lot of countries that have been colonized.
Another great statement. I also loved how Peterson defined what isn’t understood is less interesting.
One of my favorite qualities of Dr Peterson is his sincere conviction that "the ultimate victory is peace", as he said during the channel 4 "discussion".
Well everyone knows that just most people are hypocrites
I've been an athiest all 32 years of my life, more attracted to science and things that I can see or prove. To the point I've debated people in the past about how stupid the idea of a god is.
Recently, I began to find myself being more and more interested in religion. I've no idea why, I just know that I felt a calling to learn more. Now baring in mind that I've been staunchly against the existence of a god, I started to get this strange feeling when I was doing things. The feeling of being watched. The feeling of being judged on my actions. As crazy as this sounds in words, I began to think to myself "he's watching. I shouldn't be doing this."
I also began to get this feeling of presence.
One of the arguments was "I grew out of religion when I was about 12 when i realised Santa wasn't real either."
Unfortunately, I don't have the wisdom, or the information to defend or debate it right now, but I will have, eventually.
Full disclosure, I still don't fully know if I'm Christian, I still have doubts, I'm still very much unsure what this journey is. But hopefully it starts to become clearer and clearer over the next few years.
If if you've made it this far, thank you! I really appreciate your time🙂

Recently joined the Catholic Church… I have a duality in my mind, that it all could be made up and it could all be literally real… the fact I show up and opened myself to Christianity has been very rewarding still.

I am a Christian who was raised Southern Baptist but now I am non-denominational.
I've always had questions about faith and religion and how it correlates to mine or how it doesn't but here's where I'm stumped:
In our Christian faith we are taught to honor our Mother & Father & so therefore in a lot of Christian households, we are taught about the Bible.
Can we just appreciate how Mr Peterson pulled back the conversation and said, I don't want to talk about "x" I would rather talk about "y" and how from then on the quality of the conversation just improved significantly. As a Christian I found this absolutely fascinating. Thank you for this conversation!
I'm curious to hear what aspects of this conversation fascinated you, please?
Me too, please.
What did you guys like/dislike?

In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful
Allah Glory to him said:
Indeed, Allah chose Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of Imrân [father of Mary] above all people.

Spectacular 😮
Seeing these kind of discussions this day and age is like a breath of fresh air.
We captured excellent women for ransom. We decided to have sex with them but by observing 'azl (Withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid-conception). We asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), and he said: It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born.
Sahih Muslim 1438a
What in that world is this? @takiyaazrin. You have created a lie. Be very ashamed.
I would be perfectly fine seeing these discussions extended or added to in the future. We have more in common than we don't. Educational.
The US's 'Founding Fathers', already tried this approach of 'attempt to understand the muslim jackals, who kept killing & enslaving non-islamics indiscriminantly & without mercy or for amy apparent sane reason.

In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful
Allah Glory to him said:
Indeed, Allah chose Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of Imrân [father of Mary] above all people.
