- I saw that this car was on offer for £20 ($25 US) so thought I might as well have a look.
I'm not sure I need to say more than is in the video because you can easily see that as a Range Rover it ticks the good-looking box but misses by a mile in the off-road category.
If you just want the body so that you can do some work and make a scale crawler, it's an absolute bargain but if you want to drive it.. forget it. It's complete rubbish, I'd say it's in the top 3 of rubbish RC cars that I've ever owned and there are a few obvious reasons:
-The weird servo with strange noise.
-The awful turning circle.
-The 2WD! (The worst 4x4xfar)
-The terrible differential that doesn't work properly, leaving the car bouncing around.
-The joke suspension.
-The rubbish tyres.
-The low capacity battery.
Make your choice!

Thanks for watching!
its crap but i might just buy it for the body to put on a proper rc car i have
Good thinking, Batman!
Where to buy this car?
I guess that depends on your country. In the UK, you can get them in Argos and often on Tesco shelves.
That’s better, I can hear you this time, the body looks amazing and definitely worth buying to put on a different chassis
No question about that. It's a beaut!
It's really going to need the right wheels and suspension setup or it'll look terrible. A challenge ahead for a few of us, I think.
I’m getting one from Argos😊. Planning to fit the body to a Tamiya M chassis.
That could be a nice pairing. Some nice Tamiya wheels and tyres would look good.
Great video ! Good honest review! Body worth it though
Oh, most definitely worth it! Thanks.
Any hints as to where you obtained it?
Good review and a cool looking body (the Range Rover 😂)
It was from Argos. They have also had them at Tesco recently but for a bit more.
@@rcpie thank you 👍
I think you are spot on! £20 for a hardbody for another project is a SUPER good price.
I just don't know what the project is yet!
@@rcpie Build your own chassis?
@@canuckchuck8836 There's at least one on the way but not suited to that body.
I had one of these until today you didn't test it to its full ability its fast on tarmack in a straight line and even quicker down hill i threw it out to day because it had been in storage for a while and it was all scrached up and also the wheel came off but i got a lot of use out of it about 2 years worth
I definitely don't need an average Tarmac car. It was all about the body for me but I still haven't done anything with it.
You should go and get it out of the bin and advertise it, crawler fans are still looking for this car as a donor for body & interior.
@@rcpie I will do its not produced anymore so will advertise it
Good luck. Be sure to advertise it on Facebook RC groups.
@@rcpie Thank you
Can I have that car, is that for sale?
That all depends on how much someone wants to offer! 😁
