Get some truck bed liner spray and spray both sides of the plastic body shell. That will make it more durable for sure!

Chores buddy, chores. Like an adult you got to work to get your toys. I am currently saving to get a UDR. I can not justify 900 in one go so I am saving up for it. Also kinda cool to have something to look forward to! (UDR + charger + lipos = 900)

I bet you could wrap an axial bomber body pretty easy. I kinf of want to wrap my old/stock body.
I dunno maybe try each body party individually, hood, door, fender, etc.

Kev maybe you could cut out some graphic designs or separate panels with the wrap instead of trying to wrap the whole thing at once. Could spruce up the look of it without too much hassle
Can do in one peice with quality film. They do alot of complex stuff. Quality film can stretch so much if it's what your after def worth the few extra bucks for good vinyl. I do wrap and custom paint. Honestly just paint it with the same hobby paint. Just paint the outside then use a premium plastic clear coat. Shouldn't flake off but worth a shot. And if scratch up the clear coat hit with sand paper n shoot more clear.... just idea

Hey bud, look up "Pit Dawg Hydro." He does wraps on everything from weapon parts to RC parts... and he's really good!
You got guts lol as someone who does vehicle wraps for a living for the last six years and I wouldn't want to wrap my RC body lol, they are too flimsy and you can't pull the vinyl like you want not to mention the key to wrapping is heat like a torch or heat gun and I'm sure the lexan or whatever the bodies are made out of will melt.

For the wrap can you not do it in section like the real car wrappers.

It is possible so u can try to do it from the bottom and Mack your way up cuz if you do it from the top you get more chances to make a mistake .try to use a credit card to smoth it out better

Try hydro dipping it it's not to hard and there's lots of videos on RUclips and the film and activator is pretty cheap

What about in sections instead of one big piece? Would it be to hard to try to meet the sections together? I have no idea just throwing ideas it there
You need to cut it in certain places so it applies as one piece then heat gun it

Hey Kev I think some of the stuff you do for me and is funnier than crap and I it looks to me like you're onto something with that vinyl wrap I think maybe it would probably work and be easier if the body of the vehicle you're rapping with stationary held solid I'm going to give it a try to I'll let you know how it turns out
Do you think maybe you could dye it? Like how people dye their chassis or their tie rods or a-arms? I think it would look amazing in Kev's red.

Maybe clearcoat would help with that? But it might have "orange peel"

Ur supposed to vacuum wrap to complex surfaces with loads of heat over the entire piece evenly, can’t believe an expert says it cant be done 😱😱

It was an epic try and some really good fitting on the cage! The wrap was like wearing dads socks...lol
i bought an oem body and used the stickers on the almost unbreakable v2. The kgb said stickers were supplied, must have been confiscated at customs. Sent an email and they said they would post 6 months ago. still waiting.
The oem bodies are a joke.
pretty good man! but wy can't you just paint it on the outside? the paint is gonna be rubbing of, but...... try put like some real car paint on there, or try to get car acquer on there! (hope that's the rigth word)

Hey Kevin Talbot I could of sent you some vynal like I did Steve from the 313. You need a torch to do it right. Not bad for a first time, check Steve channel for final grasshopper build we wrapped our shells and Wayne and Honey dipped theirs, they are going to dip a Slash body for me. You should ask as well.

Guys please dont try this on regular lexan bodies, they will melt and shrink!
Wrap's no good for rc bodies anyway mate, think about how it'd look as it scratched and tore up with crashes and use.. great effort though, knowledge is king and now you know!

great vid! try the hydro dip! and the unsprung weight is real deal . i recently installed some proline 3.8 super swampers, great looking but it killed the performance! ( tmaxx 2.5 electric conversion )

hydro dip it! it is easer cheaper? cool patterns all you need is a big bucket and water! plus that kind of video gets a lot of views!

Coat a body in good truck bed liner and then paint it red.

Cars have separate panels, thats why they can do it in sections, you cant do it in sections on a one peice body
well im sorry but ive wrapped a van and still on big section of rear say, its more than one piece of wrap on same panel ;)
That's true. They wrap snowmobiles the same way with separate pieces per each panel
