As a frequent shopper at IKEA, I can confirm that they do not provide wall fasteners for any product. This is always in their descriptions. Not everyone has drywall for walls and everyone is to purchase what works for them: brick, cinder block, cement, etc. IKEA does sell a set of screws and anchors so you don’t have to go to a hardware store.
I love that I found your original install video - and then you did a 3 year later video. That's the kinda stuff as a content creator (and marketer during the day) I look for - honest reviews with updates.
I absolutely love my Skådis set up. I occasionally pick up a few more shelves or bins when I go to IKEA. It has revolutionized my sewing storage because, as you know, we have SO MANY LITTLE THINGS. I have moved things around and reorganized the setup more than once, as I lived with it and figured out what best suited my needs. I have one setup on the wall above my regular sewing machine with all my scissors, measuring tapes, extra bobbins, etc…, one above my industrial, and one over my cutting table with all of my leatherworking supplies. The clear bins with the lids are a game changer. Put them side by side and the lids act as another shelf.
I like the system, but for me it's a little bit expensive so I would have to go to home depot and buy the pegboard and accessories. I would frame it out and maybe paint it before adding the hardware. I think the one you have shows great idea's as to how I can hang things. Thank you.
I like your "Store Tour" videos; if you go to exchange the damaged bin, maybe check out the sale bins and what they have going on in their Sewing department. Plus, you could get lunch - Meatballs might be a nice treat lol.
A hair dryer or a heat gun helps a lot with the labels, alternatively spray some Simple Green or Windex on the label and on some paper towel then lay the wet paper towel over the label and give it some soaking time.
I would contact IKEA through website basically saying you paid ten dollars for delivery because the store is not close and product came in damaged. Ask what you need to do to get a replacement but you do not think you should have to incur any expense. It may take time but it will save you on gas and inconvenience. I do believe IKEA will try to make it right for you.
Ikea's prices have gone up so much that I cannot repeat buying the things I loved. I had wanted everything to match but.... I ended up going to Walmart for some things and "almost" matching. I'm sorry, nothing like a pandemic to set the world on it's head. I think that, really, almost double the price? There is no excuse for that, I don't care how good the product is. For the labels, goo gone or try sewing machine oil.
No they cannot. But they do have a narrow one (@14 inches wide) and a square one (22 inches). Assume they still have both and fairly certain I recall the correct width.
I think the price hike has more to do with the popularity….Supply and demand 🤷🏻♀️. I’ve noticed that with some popular youtube/influencer reviews… not your fault of course, but review videos generate a lot of purchases over a relatively small amount of time, which sometimes causes rising prices. I still think it’s a fairly good price though for what you’re getting if you compare to say some of the container store systems like elfa.
It seems Ikea doesn't include ANY hardware that attaches to wall or ceilings; I think Ikea doesn't want the liability of how their products attach to your property. Who knows.......

Wipe the shelves and cups - with a dryer lint sheet will help with the dust
I also put shelf Liner in the cups
Try using a hair dryer to loosing the stickersb- then use alcohol swabs to remove residue. There is also a product called goo-gone that will work

Your lucky in the US we have Skadis here at IKEA in the UK but not as many accessories as you do in the US

Do the hooks stay in place?
Stickers are easily removed if you heat them with a hair dryer. It softens the adhesive, and they usually peel right off. Just a tip.
Good to know - thanks!
do you have a good ironing setup? I'm assuming you iron yardage frequently...Im looking for ideas for small spaces

Can the pegboards be mounted both vertically and horizontally?
I don't think the items will fit in the pegs correctly if you mount it sideways

it looks like the flat magazine holder was replaced by a curved metal mesh magazine holder
Wow, that's a lot of scissors! And this is coming from someone who has a lot of scissors! LOL
and yes, I'd return that damaged one.
