Hi all, thank you for your watching! Per your request,I have added most of the products and tools we used in this home office makeover under the video description section. Please take a look if you are interested. I hope those are helpful. Let me know if I miss anything. =)
@@NK-ux4df Hi NK sorry for the late reply, the openings in the trestle leg is 50cm w by 45cm tall (depth can be dependent on your configuration) so it probably would fit your printer
Very good. Quick tip: all that masking tape should have come off a lot sooner. Don't [need to] wait for the paint to be dry; take it off once there's no chance of any paint dripping/running. Leaving it too long you can end up taking paint off with it and needing to repaint, or it becomes a major job just trying to get the masking tape off as it's stuck dry, and it rips and comes off in small bits (depending on the brand). As soon as it's safe to do so, get it off!
The lightning is mad. I love it. The way you organized the vertical wall is very inspirational. I see myself applying your idea at home. Me and my partner work remotely and also have desks next to each other. In our setup the divider between desks was a game changer. We used Ikea EILIF. With the divider and good headphones we're no longer distracted by each other's presence and what's happening on our screens.
Extremely cool work done with the peg board with the bends and the vaulted corner. I love this design so much!!! I feel for him about the monitor heights I would also be extremely distressed at the point 😫. Amazing space you've created here. I love it!! You have inspired me to think about how I will go about revamping my own office space.
This just popped up on my recommended list, and I can say that it's worth watching. I love the idea of using the other monitor as a clock when your partner isn't around.
I'm also an architect and this is very inspiring. I wanted to learn how to use tools properly too. it's very cool to make your own space after designing them. love this video!
Wow, nice! i do think the architectural training pave the way for me to get more into those hands on works, it is good to design something digitally, even more fun if we can build it out with our own hands i feel!
@@summerhyukie567 From one architect to another, know that direct lighting or the ability to see the light itself in your view gives eye fatigue. Indirect lighting, studies have shown that reducing the eye fatigue improves productivity up to 10%. It make sense. Whenever you can, uplight. You can stick to task lights but I have learned to stray away from alien autopsy lighting.
Loved the video and all the different parts of your design. You showed me some simple woodwork tools that will be helpful in the future, thank you. I really like how you showed your different setups throughout the years. Most impressive was the curved wood divider incorporating the pegboard 👍
I just found out your channel today and I dont get it why you guys are underrated for 2years? Everything you guys do are top notch! New subscriber and I wish this channel reach 100k before half of 2023!
In the midst of revamping my home workspace and I’m overwhelmed by the rather arduous task. Scurrying RUclips for inspiration and your vid greatly comforted me, esp that little montage of setup upgrades over the years. 🥲 Love your integration of lights into the pegboard feature wall! Cheers to, better things yet to come!
Thanks! It does sounds like a challenging task to us at first as well. but we selected a design that we are really excited about! It inject a lot of passion along the process and helped us carry it through.
Excellent studio makeover. Loved your use of the stair treads, with it's pre-finished bullnose and your routed inset for the l-bracket, it's definitely an idea I'll have to pick up when adding shelves to my set up. Great work!
I just took a look to your channel, well this video worth more than all your videos together (I'm talking ONLY for views). I think you could integrate this type of makeovers more often. People like me will never reach your channel without this video. But I'm happy because I've also discovered other videos super interesting . 🔥
Thank you for your constructive advice, yes, it does look like makeover videos are more popular, we are planning to make more in future. PS: glad you found other videos interesting as well~
This is what i need. I love how RUclips recomend this video. I hope that i can make my work space looks like this. Thankyou for the inspiration and that office looks so cool and aestathic at the same time. 😊
I love how the space turned out, the curves of the furniture adds fun and softness and the space feels so welcoming. Comforting colours + natural wood. Can’t believe this is the first video of yours I’ve stumbled across (and by chance as well). 这空间也真的太美了~
setup makeover is really different if handled by professional xD the video is so pleasing to watch and inspiring! It was so clean, neat, simply pretty and functional!
Thank you we considered Roman shades at one point. But turns out we only get some really early sunlight between 6-9am in summer for this north facing window, so it doesn’t really bothers that much
Amazing and inspiring work! I'm going to be moving into a new home-office in about 6 months and you gave me some amazing ideas. One quick safety tip for your tablesaw. You should try not to use gloves when working with spinning blades (tablesaw, router, jointer, etc.) because the glove can easily get caught by the blade and pull your hand into it.
It's funny RUclips propose me this video now, i've recently made a biiiiiig two seat desk with my father-in-law, it looks nearly the same ! I've used a Kallax for better looking shelf, and the desk itself stands on big metal drawers from my office (i believe these are made by Steelcase). But i've learned a few things and i am absolutely in love (like many here) with your floating shelf ! Good job ! Greetings from France !
Standing on metal file cabinet is a great idea! if we had any we would probably do that than using a table leg(it will make the tabletop more stable as well, besides more space for storage) steelcase is a good brand, if we are upgrading next time, we will get cabinets from them
Incredible! All of the lighting is used so well. I love that the shelves are cut at different angles! I feel like my skills at getting things truly square are pretty lacking, so maybe some intentionally not-square shelves are my in future. :-) And loved the editing style with the drawings and the table of contents, looks so good!
Hahaha yes! You are absolutely right, we are also not fully confident on getting things perfectly square😅, so we have a lot of tolerance built in the design so that even not perfectly aligned would not felt the build is off. Having said that, maybe we should both master how to make things square first before fully embrace the free form geometries lol
Videos like these are the VERY REASON why I stay out of Ikea! 🤨 I better go call my bank and let them know I'm at Ikea! 😏😏 Was able to watch the video to the very end! Thank you for the wonderful ideas.
Wah keren sekali. Jadi terinspirasi untuk membuat setup desk seperti ini di ruang kerja. Jadi nyaman untuk bekerja dari rumah. Pengambilan video yang dramatis menjadi semakin menarik.
Was hoping for a simpler diy that didnt involve a lot of power tools. Nonetheless, the crafstmanship and precision are fabulous and i really enjoyed the video. Well done
Nice relaxing video and I liked the finished Office! Very practical. Just be careful with the table saw if you've never used one before. I recommend watching some safety videos - Steve Ramsey has some good ones and also Stumpy Nubs has a very thorough series of videos. Try not to wear gloves when using power tools, they can get snagged and cause worse injury than without and you don't get the full feel of the tool. The lighting is really cool and effective also!
Thank you sir for being this up. I have read some other comments reminding us about that as well. I was trying to avoid splinters during material handling, but in future with power tools it taking them off is wiser.
In a budget doesnt mean that everything need to be “cheap”, it means that you allocate your budget based on your needs, and choose your furniture/accessories wisely, if you feel that a $500 lights are going to greatly impact your office then why not, but you probably need to sacrifice other items for the lamp
Hmm.. not sure if it's a good idea do keep the air humidifier that close to the electeonics... but the configuration of everything else looks so clean! The drawers to keep the workspace free of tiny little objects was an amazing idea!!
@@galastudio9 I second that point. I've opened a computer before that was too close to an oil diffuser like that. The oil and vapor precipitates in there after it's turned off and cools, then shorts the next time you turn it on. It was a difficult problem to diagnose until we opened it up.

Why so many googly eyes 😄

Thanks! We are actually Looking at market for used monitors recently, trying to find a matching monitor🥹
Just get a gas operated monitor arm with 2 seperate arms, that way you will be able to adjust them better and get them to the same height

Good work! This was much better than those paid desk tours what most tech RUclipsrs do now a days.
