The Tradfri sensor is being replaced by a newer version called Vallhorn - it works in the same way, but takes two AAA batteries, rather than two CR2032 button batteries. The mounting plate of the Vallhorn is also a better shape for mounting in the corner of a room. The guy in my local IKEA said that all of the smart sensors and remotes that take button batteries will be replaced soon, as button batteries are not available in a rechargeable version.
Awwww Mars is adorable- I love seeing happy, healthy and well cared for animals. All of your fabulous tips were the added extra!! Great info - thank you so much.
I love the 365+ food containers, but my favorite are the stainless steel ones. They stack beautify into each other so they're easier to store than glass. I don't even own a microwave so them not being microwave safe is not an issue. I like that they sell the lids separately so if they ever get damaged, or stained and grimy, they're easy to replace. Another fun part is you can mix and match the glass, stainless steel and plastic containers and the lids (also multiple kinds) will fit all of them. They also sell inserts and little chopping boards that double as lids for them.
You have the perfect structure for your videos. Ignore the people who are telling you that you are saying that you are talking too much. There are multiple types of people who watch these types of videos: 1) people who want to use these ikea furniture, and 2) people who want to find the alternative uses for furniture and “hacks” that can save them money. Your videos fill more than just one need- which is what you want. Keep doing you!
@@northwindx79 Ay-key-a is how Americans are calling it ☺️ How I call it is the name the Swedish guys who invented IKEA are calling it 🇸🇪 I know my facts 💞

The OLSERÖD table is really cool. I have a small flat and I use it to learn, eat, watch tv and turn it so as I need when I have Guests. And i endly have all my remotes at one place.
I tossed out or gave away plastic storage containers and have lots of sizes of the glass food storage. Can confirm that they are just as useful, washable and handy years after purchase.
Stolthet - “pride” Riktig - “right” or “upright” Etc. A lot of people don’t realize the names of IKEA items are similar to Scandinavian words, and are frequently plays on words, a favorite Scandinavian pastime. My favorite IKEA name… their version of Tupperware called “Prütt”, which means “fart”, a chippy reference to the old Tupperware “burp”.
Nah, the line is called pruta - ü doesn't exist in the Swedish language - they use y (pronounced similarly to ü, not English y) as does DK and NO. Ü is more German or Turkish. Riktig means real, right, true, proper, authentic more than upright - but riktig can be used to amplify another word and if used about positioning, it's not really the word riktig that means straight more as it is the combination with other words like "Ställ dig riktigt upp" (stand up straight).
Best thing I found at IKEA were a set of universal pot/pan lids. I think their name for it is "KLOCKREN". Often, using an alternative lid for a pot that doesn't have one results in condensation dripping outside the pot onto the stove. But these are designed with an inward slope and inner rim in a manner that the condensation just drips right back into the pot. I found 4 sizes, which fit most of my cookware. Interesting thing though, is their website does not mention this feature. Money well spent.
Fun fact: Klockren is a swedish word used for something that’s just perfect and effortless for something. A klockren comment would be a spot on comment, a klockren hit would be a bullseye, a klockren gift would be a perfect gift and so on. 🤗 Seems like a klockren name for the product 😄
Because plastic seems to absorb the smells of onion garlic or curry, when I store foods with these ingredients in the glass dishes with the plastic lids, I always always always fit a rectangle of baking paper between all of the plastic lid and the food in the glass container. That way no smell gets to the plastic clip on lids. Also, if some of this food isnt eaten, just wrap the waste in the baking paper to throw in the bin, or you can freeze it till bin day.

One for wrapping paper and old wall paper rolls, one for my plastic christmas tree, and one for long materials for crafting and wood work stuff if I ever decide to go down a DIY spiral 😂 I love them. Two good things that isn’t obvious about them, is that there is a handle on the short end as well, so you can store it vertically if you prefer, and the compartment for bows and stuff is removable if you need the full length.
