Surprise I'm bringing IKEA back for 2024!! I found some awesome finds (a lot are under $5!!) If you enjoyed this video, please give it a THUMBS UP as it really helps my channel Should I make more IKEA videos?
The queen sized pillow, 'so for a decorative pillowcase, or for an overnight guest who you might not want to overstay their welcome', that sir is subtle comedy gold!
@reneelascala5050 Same, I made a mental note to grab that pillow after seeing how nice and flat it was. It's such a challenge dealing with ultra fluffy pillows.
I've started using the big blue bags for laundry, instead of baskets. They are easy to fill and carry up and down stairs, and as I get older, it's also much safer than balancing a heavy basket on my hip like I used to. Highly recommend!
same here. discovered this a few years ago when we went camping and put all our clothes in a bag for each of us. Had one on the bottom for dirty clothes. been doing that at home all the time now.
They also work great as a planter. Poke smalll holes in the bottom. Fill them up with soil, plant your seeds or plants. By far one of the cheapest planters.
Be careful with the glass measuring cup. That kind of glass is so smooth on the inside when water is heated there are no places for the vapor to collect and bubble. That can cause the water to superheat and when it gets moved it can suddenly boil over and cause burns. I'm a chemist and the first thing we did with brand new beakers was scratch the inside bottom lightly for this very reason. No need for a homeowner to scratch it, just don't heat plain water in it.
I would love to have the brain of a chemist I also wish I had paid more attention in school because as an adult I find it quite fascinating. Thank you for the advice.
Yes! Also glass should always be completely dry on the bottom before heating it. I've had too many close calls sharing a lab with some biology students in my last year. I broke a doctorate student's cuvette running around like a madwoman because of them. She nearly cried, I gave up on titrating that day because of how badly my hands were shaking, it was a whole thing. Thank the gods she was a good sport and made the person that was supposed to be supervising them pay for a new one. More importantly, most glassware we use at home isn't as durable as beakers are to begin with so I'd avoid using hot liquid just in case.
PSA when heating water in microwave place something like bamboo skewer/chopstick cause water can become superheated in microwave and go above boiling temperatures without boiling appearance
I was disappointed the cat tent and clock cube were not available for delivery BUT IMPRESSED that Ikea purchases can now be picked up at Walgreens locations for a discounted delivery fee. Helpful for those of us without cars.
I love the lint rollers from IKEA because you can get a 4 pack of refills for $1.99. It makes it worth it for me. Then, I just replace the tape instead of the whole item.
This is what I do too! Also, the IKEA lint rollers have 40 sheets for $0.59 and the Dollar Tree ones have 75 sheets for $1.25. So the IKEA ones are a better deal
@claudiafairbanks I don’t know. We bought 2 of them and they were both the same way. I think it’s difficult because they tear diagonally like triangles instead of a straight line, and it’s sometimes hard to get it started. They’re also thin and it’s hard to separate them apart.
As a former professional window washer, here’s a helpful tip: If you angle your squeegee while cleaning your mirror, you can avoid the lines that form from overlapping sections. 😊
I feed homeless cats all over my small town. I use Matt's ending when I leave the cats, with one small change: "I love you. Bye-bye. See you tomorrow." 😀
Thank you for feeding the cats. We've had cats born in our backyard that are now a part of our family. And most recently, a definitely not feral cat was hanging around & we were able to rescue her, too. If we see a hungry cat, we always feed it.
I would disagree with you on the lint roller being better at Dollar tree. The lint roller with a handle is $.59 at IKEA while the four pack of lint roller refills is only 1.49 at my local IKEA. I’ve seen it at other locations for 1.99 Which is a pretty good deal each role contains 36 feet of length. The dollar tree version is only 45 feet of length
The boot trays are perfect for pet bowls. Also, pet related, but a bunch of kids spoons/bowls & plates. The spoons wash easily after can cat food. The bowls/plates I use for many things. Camping. Putting out water for stray cats or up higher for birds on hot days, etc
Love the easel. A young child was asked on her first day of Kindergarten what she did. She proudly announced to the family that she had painted on a Weasel😊. They see things so clearly and it’s made me smile for decades when I hear of an Easel.
An Ikea hack I use - the long, window panels make GREAT tablecloths for banquet tables. I do a sheer white under a heavier cranberry panel - the look great and wash beautifully. You have to trim of the tabs (and threads) if they have them.
I use that clip on desk cup holder and keep it between my arms while I type so my drink is never out of reach. I will, absolutely, 100%, forget to drink it otherwise, so it's convenient to have it right in my face.
I know I’m way behind, but I really want to thank you for doing these videos in the very beginning when I’m sure they were not lucrative. Your effort and honesty has helped me make better dying decisions so many times! Thank you for being so trustworthy and generous with your time and energy. Over the time that I’ve been watching you, I have often wanted to say thank you and just never gotten around to putting it in your comments and I’m sorry for that. I intend to do much better for content creators that I enjoy this coming year, and you are at the top of that list. Thank you from all of us who never had the time or never understood how important comments were. Wishing you and yours a beautiful New Year!
I use a giant IKEA bag as a quilt project bag. It's especially handy for keeping backing, batting, and top together if you bring your quilt to a longarmer instead of quilting the layers together yourself.
LOOOOLLL at the side commentary!! "....for maybe the overnight guest you dont want to overstay their welcome"....bahahahah. could come in handy for the upcoming holidays
Thank you. I had noticed recently that Ikea has lowered their prices for a lot of items especially inserts for Kallax inserts. I think They got too expensive and people stopped shopping. I am glad that some companies are reversing to their old ways.
We have an Ikea in our state but it's a days drive away & you'd have to overnight at a hotel to visit it. And mail order is (was?) very expensive if the item is available for shipping. So, window shopping it is... :)
Yes! Alot of companies just price gouge even tho they're already pretty expensive. Or if inflation slows down they make NO adjustments for their customers and just keep getting greedier. If we don't say enough and stop using the services etc they will never stop...until NO ONE but the rich one percent can afford them. It is ridiculous. All across the board for any type of product or services.🤬
Haven't notice price drop but, until recently, here in Canada, Ikea prices sky rocketed since pandemic. Like above inflation that was already high. I don't know if they are going back to "normal".
I wonder if they’re back in stock they’ve been out of stock on the sauce for I think close to a year. They started posting the recipe by the register where the food is sold. I haven’t checked for about three or four months.
"Some of you will feel uncomfortable with me modeling the sleepers" either that OR you're attracting a whole new kind of audience hahahaha. Great video as always!
Love IKEA. Thank goodness there is one drive-able, but not too close. Thanks for adding this to the rotation. Glad you got to test drive the cinnamon rolls!
I'm frequently on low carb and, at 1 gram of carbs each, the IKEA meatballs are a nice treat. I just swap out the mashed potatoes for green beans and then add 12 extra meatballs for $3.
We used the first item, the pop up closet tent thing, as a mini greenhouse for a pot of tomato plants! Worked great at protection from drying wind while letting light in.
I brought a couple of them a few years ago - haven’t used one, used the other but whilst okay for storage and keeping the dust off, they wouldn’t be suitable for transporting the clothes in, very wobbly and impossible to move
I've had one of those tool sets for thirty years. They are great--sufficient quality to cope with most household repair jobs, and the case keeps everything where you can find it.
I bought the bamboo steamer for my daughter, she makes bao buns in it. She loves it! It's sturdy and we've had it for a few years and it still looks new. Great video!
I use the glass measuring cup to store fresh herbs standing up in the refrigerator; the leaves don't touch any sides which keeps them fresher longer than specialized containers with tall sides. The yellow shoe tray is a great find! That basic wall clock is easy to take apart and DIY a design. The Trones storage I have had for years has held up perfectly.
Here's one more that I like! The $1.99 kitchen dish brush, it has a suction cup bottom so you can put it on your counter top between washing & rinsing a pan or dish, it's easier to pick it up. It's called the RINNING. Best 2 bucks you'll spend! Thanks Matt for another awesome video!
Do keep in mind they have a great toy department as well, with a great variety of plushies in small to large sizes. I bought the small ocean critter collection for me (my desk buddies), and a big stuffed shark for my kiddo. Maybe next time you can cover some of these?
Went to IKEA once. I'll never go back. I don't like being held hostage in the store and forced to go through the whole thing to find the exit. But I do enjoy your videos!
I see that Tromma wall clock has little holes punched through to make the numbers. It'd be a hoot to backlight, or could tape bright (or gradient!) paper on the back side to customize the clock & spice it up a bit.
I really like your videos. Full of content, you speak clearly and annunciate! The comparison items between dollar tree and IKEA are appreciated. Thank you!
the BEHÖVD at 4:47 is good; but it is not for holding temperature any longer time as for an hike or so. BEHÖVD is good to keep something hot or cool during a dinner or a relaxing snack at the television, it may drip a bit when pouring so wrap a small cloth around it, that can also make it look a bit cute. It is far from perfect, but for that price it is okay.
I use those mats as liners in kitchen shelves . This allows me to glide the items sitting on the mats to be moved easily for access items stored in the back of the shelves. It helps keep shelves cleaner.
I found the 99 cent storage containers (sunnersta) over 2 years ago and I use them on my shopping carts to hold my cup or my cell phone. We don’t have drink holders on the carts here in Ontario yet.
The pillow covers are well made. If I find a design I like I buy it and cut off all 4 edges and I have 2 heavy duty cloth napkins. When I wash it the edges fray, which I like.
The Ikea brand storage bags are so much higher quality than ziploc or any other brand. We actually prefer them and drive almost an hour to our local Ikea to buy them about once a month.
Surprise I'm bringing IKEA back for 2024!! I found some awesome finds (a lot are under $5!!) If you enjoyed this video, please give it a THUMBS UP as it really helps my channel Should I make more IKEA videos?
Yes please pretty please!
Never shopped there before yet I will be now
Yesssssssss!
Thanks for adding. I have not been in while.
Yes
Yes please!
The best thing about those clamps to hold your drink at your desk…your cat can’t knock your drink off of the desk. 😼😼😼
The queen sized pillow, 'so for a decorative pillowcase, or for an overnight guest who you might not want to overstay their welcome', that sir is subtle comedy gold!
Stomach sleepers like me want pillows about as thick as focaccia😊
I just paused the video to say the same thing 😂.
I take offense to that as a lover of thinner pillows
@reneelascala5050 Same, I made a mental note to grab that pillow after seeing how nice and flat it was. It's such a challenge dealing with ultra fluffy pillows.
I've started using the big blue bags for laundry, instead of baskets. They are easy to fill and carry up and down stairs, and as I get older, it's also much safer than balancing a heavy basket on my hip like I used to. Highly recommend!
i'm asking my mom for one as a moving out gift lol
same here. discovered this a few years ago when we went camping and put all our clothes in a bag for each of us. Had one on the bottom for dirty clothes. been doing that at home all the time now.
They work well at ALDI too!
They also work great as a planter. Poke smalll holes in the bottom. Fill them up with soil, plant your seeds or plants. By far one of the cheapest planters.
I’ve been using them for years…and I’m 73. 😊
I remember doing that in lab class. Super cooled water too. Thanks for the pro tip!
I would love to have the brain of a chemist I also wish I had paid more attention in school because as an adult I find it quite fascinating. Thank you for the advice.
I was badly burned by boiling water in one of the measuring cups. Also, I sat one down on a pot holder and it immediately cracked.
Thank you for that info!
WOW! Did not know this. Tha ks since no store close to me.
Wow! TYTY! strange but awesome collab😂
And for those of us who don't have an Ikea close by.
Girl!! Tysm! I am miles from an Ikea, but 0.8 mile from Walgreens!!
I love the lint rollers from IKEA because you can get a 4 pack of refills for $1.99. It makes it worth it for me. Then, I just replace the tape instead of the whole item.
@claudiafairbanks I did not see this! Thank you
This is what I do too! Also, the IKEA lint rollers have 40 sheets for $0.59 and the Dollar Tree ones have 75 sheets for $1.25. So the IKEA ones are a better deal
I’m actually not a fan. They may be a better deal, but I find they’re much harder to peel and tear off.
@mindybanda301 I wonder if you got a bad batch.
@claudiafairbanks I don’t know. We bought 2 of them and they were both the same way. I think it’s difficult because they tear diagonally like triangles instead of a straight line, and it’s sometimes hard to get it started. They’re also thin and it’s hard to separate them apart.
I wait for Matt's videos. He brings a smile to my face each time he downloads his finds. And crazy Dad jokes, too!
They’re back! Look, the Ikea videos are back! Thank you, Matt, you just made my day!
I have the plastic boot tray and use it for my dog's food and water bowls. I works great and is easy to clean.
As a former professional window washer, here’s a helpful tip: If you angle your squeegee while cleaning your mirror, you can avoid the lines that form from overlapping sections. 😊
Great tip, thank you 😊
I feed homeless cats all over my small town. I use Matt's ending when I leave the cats, with one small change: "I love you. Bye-bye. See you tomorrow." 😀

You are a good human ❤
You are my kind of human. Bless your kind heart and thank you for the good you try to do.❤
Thank you. My daughter does, too, and takes them to be neutered.
That portable wardrobe would make a great spray paint booth!!!! You do a great job, Deal Guy!!! Blessings!!!!
🤯🤯🤯 you’re a genius!
Ah that’s brilliant
Great idea!
And probably a cheaper option!! Thanks for the idea!!
Or a plant shower!
“These IKEA bucket hats at $6 are an efficient way to quickly learn who your real friends are” 😂😂😂
😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would disagree with you on the lint roller being better at Dollar tree. The lint roller with a handle is $.59 at IKEA while the four pack of lint roller refills is only 1.49 at my local IKEA. I’ve seen it at other locations for 1.99

You’re always so cheerful, upbeat and articulate. It’s a pleasure to watch your videos. Thanks.

You can’t go wrong with the FRAKTA blue bag! ❤
I hope you do more IKEA videos!!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🤩🤩🤩
I've not been to Ikea for a while -- I'm going now!
Love the easel. A young child was asked on her first day of Kindergarten what she did. She proudly announced to the family that she had painted on a Weasel😊. They see things so clearly and it’s made me smile for decades when I hear of an Easel.
My middle child called them that once and we have called them weasels ever since. 😊
I need an IKEA bucket hat! Who needs friends? 😂
Your sense of humor always brightens the day.
An Ikea hack I use - the long, window panels make GREAT tablecloths for banquet tables. I do a sheer white under a heavier cranberry panel - the look great and wash beautifully. You have to trim of the tabs (and threads) if they have them.
I really enjoy your personality while presenting these products, and your sense of humor!

0:48 No need. I just need an air purifier. It will also tell me when the air quality is bad. And filter it for me.
I know I’m way behind, but I really want to thank you for doing these videos in the very beginning when I’m sure they were not lucrative. The shoe/boot tray also makes a great tray for under your pets’ bowls to catch slobbery water messes.
Don't forget the sauce package when getting the meat balls. Not in package with meatballs
I found this out after getting home 2 hours later.
I wonder if they’re back in stock they’ve been out of stock on the sauce for I think close to a year. They started posting the recipe by the register where the food is sold. I haven’t checked for about three or four months.
The hat racks are great. My mom uses them for her hats and for her purses.

Love IKEA. Thank goodness there is one drive-able, but not too close. Thanks for adding this to the rotation. Glad you got to test drive the cinnamon rolls!
My favorite part of IKEA is the cafeteria. Meatballs & mashed potatoes with lingonberry sauce...yum!
I'm frequently on low carb and, at 1 gram of carbs each, the IKEA meatballs are a nice treat. I just swap out the mashed potatoes for green beans and then add 12 extra meatballs for $3.
I miss their chicken meatballs in the cafeteria :(
" ...and If you really wanna rep your Ikea pride, these bucket hats at $6 are an efficient way to learn who your real friends are"
😁
We used the first item, the pop up closet tent thing, as a mini greenhouse for a pot of tomato plants! Worked great at protection from drying wind while letting light in.
Thank you for showcasing the metal 3 row drawers with the back wheels. I bought 2 of them! Super happy with my purchase. ❤
$13 wardrobe would work great for moving. Cheap place to hang your closet contents and transport clothing cleanly.
Good idea!
I brought a couple of them a few years ago - haven’t used one, used the other but whilst okay for storage and keeping the dust off, they wouldn’t be suitable for transporting the clothes in, very wobbly and impossible to move
I'm so glad you're bringing Ikea back! I wish I lived closer to one
The Deal Guy is a fantastic salesman.
The bucket hat is perfect for tucking into my car as I wear glasses and prefer to be able to see when I get out of the car in the rain!
@Ellenl5626 Thanks for your feedback.
THHEEESSSSEE are the words we wait for..... Really appreciate the comparison shopping 😊
I love shopping at ikea. Always have new items, good sales and many things you can DIY
Lots of price reductions going on right now too!
I added temp/humidity to the air quality sensor along with wifi. It’s been an amazing addition to my smart home.
9:10 nice little square temp/clock/timer/stopwatch, battery operated, useful if you have power outages
This is the best channel on YT. Dont ever leave us deal guy! You've saved me a lot of money🎉
We use the shoe tray to put under the pet food and water dishes
Perfect! My daughter gave me an Ikea gift card for my birthday! Lots of great ideas from this video. 😊
Wow! So many things to get for less price! Thank you for sharing
The $2 milk frothers have been on my stocking stuffers/grab and gift lists for >10 years. Tx for returning to IKEA ❤️you.
Have you seen their cleaning kit, adjustable handle with 2 sizes of mop heads.
Plus doesn't it come with a scraper on the back for stuck food? I think I remember that on the one I got a long time ago
They’re great for in the bathroom as well, especially for in hard to get to places.
So glad you did this IKEA video. Haven’t been there in 4 years but will return this week. Many items were appealing, well priced and needed. Thanks
Ur a joy to watch. Hope the family is doing well 🙏
I got solar lights years ago and they still work! Wish they came back!!
Same!
That little chair is epic for keeping my air pods case, lip balm, and iphone together and easy to find.
That four function clock might be what I have been looking for.
If you get chairs , make sure that the weight limit is appropriate for your home.
My mind is seriously blown away ikea is a world in a warehouse 😮
The ikea bags are great for the garden. Planting potatoes, carrots and other things
Please reconsider. They are not food grade, and toxins can leak from plastic into veggies. Same reason to not grow food in garbage cans.
Thank you Matt! I love IKEA products and am so happy you are reviewing them again!❤
I like the IKEA silicone covers as they are shaped and stretch to form a better seal. The WaaayMoreThanADollar Tree ones are just floppy sheets.
Do keep in mind they have a great toy department as well, with a great variety of plushies in small to large sizes. I bought the small ocean critter collection for me (my desk buddies), and a big stuffed shark for my kiddo. Maybe next time you can cover some of these?
I didn't know IKEA had small items. Really nice!
Bravo on the ikea episode!
maybe the tree shaped racks could be used on a kitchen wall as mug trees. I'd sure try it.
The plate racks at 12:30 are great if you store plates in a drawer or lower cupboard. Makes it easier to stack the plates neatly & keep them in place.
I love Ikea, I can't possibly see everything even in a full day so I look forward to your video's. Thanks so much for sharing.
That $39.99 shoe storage might be good for shoe storage in an RV. Those IKEA bags have doubled in price, but they are the bomb!
Thank you!
The transition shots on the lamps were top knotch! He's the king of segues and transitions!
the BEHÖVD at 4:47 is good; but it is not for holding temperature any longer time as for an hike or so. BEHÖVD is good to keep something hot or cool during a dinner or a relaxing snack at the television, it may drip a bit when pouring so wrap a small cloth around it, that can also make it look a bit cute. It is far from perfect, but for that price it is okay.
Thank you for sharing the sale items at Ikea. I appreciate you ❤
Amazing video thanks for sharing!
I use those mats as liners in kitchen shelves . This allows me to glide the items sitting on the mats to be moved easily for access items stored in the back of the shelves. It helps keep shelves cleaner.
I love Ikea and love you for bringing Ikea and everything else you do. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
0:10 I'm more amazed at the price tag magically turning yellow 😅
The totes also make a great laundry basket
The ikea bags are great for laundry
I found the 99 cent storage containers (sunnersta) over 2 years ago and I use them on my shopping carts to hold my cup or my cell phone. We don’t have drink holders on the carts here in Ontario yet.
The pillow covers are well made. If I find a design I like I buy it and cut off all 4 edges and I have 2 heavy duty cloth napkins. When I wash it the edges fray, which I like.
You're making me spend small amounts but very often. But still watch all of your videos. You da man!
I like that store , THANK YOU MATT
I can personally recommend the grill pan, silverware set, and slippers. All fantastic.
My nearest IKEA is 45 minutes away and I needed a bookcase. I discovered they will ship it to my local Walgreens for $5! Hard to beat that deal!
I got this three door storage unut at 6:25. The drawers were hard to keep in... they fell out easily, for some reason, dumping contents on the floor.
I've had that french press for about 15 years. Love it. So easy to make coffeehouse-quality cofee or to brew up loose tea leaves.
The Ikea brand storage bags are so much higher quality than ziploc or any other brand. We actually prefer them and drive almost an hour to our local Ikea to buy them about once a month.
Portable wardrobe= storage for my RenFest costumes!
Yay!! Finally IKEA!! I love that store almost as much as I love The Deal Guy!! ❤❤
I have that little alarm clock. It's great.
I just bought the cat tent for my kitty and he loves it!
