Using command hooks from the back and putting the hook through the back of the peg holes could be an interesting way to anchor at the top! That way the board gets stabilized, but you also get some flexibility so that you don’t have to worry about ripping the strips off the wall! Plus, that way you get some vertical support as on the boards as well
You can also 3D print custom fixtures for the panel as well. There are at least a dozen different Skids hooks and fixtures on the 3d sites I view. I go to a local community maker palce and print mine of there. I have a membership that solves access fairly easily. The also have a free night for new comers where you can meet, greet and get the vibe of the people. I have to try a couple of different places before I found one that was a good fit for me.
Once again another great vid!! The lights are always my personal fav so im glad you brought some of the old lights back😄. The pegboard is looking really good too hopefully you can find some good stabalizers for them. Cant wait for the next vid!
@@astronuggie I am currently looking into this myself it's interesting tbf. In regards to that pegboard maybe you could clue some wood strips to the wall and put a screw through the board into the wood strips without going into the wall to give it some stability? that could work without damaging the wall behind :)
First thing when you change the grey thing on the peg board to white reverse it put the part that sticks out to the other side for support against the wall so it won't wiggle back and forth so much. also use the white pins that you have right next to the blue cable as support by putting a little piece of a two sided tape on the flat surface to the peg board from behind it also for support on the very top two corners until you get that parts you need, otherwise its coming out real nice.
thank you!! i just was too lazy to take it down and redo it, but i'm going to tackle it soon xD omg that's genius about the little pins for support. thank you!!
For the pegboard I hiiiiighly recommend Command Strips! I use the "Large 16lbs" *velcro* strips for everything since its suuuuper easy to remove. I use it for frames, canvases, nanoleafs and even my curtain rods are held up with them!!
What about those command strips you can buy super durable and can be removed from the wall with ease afterwards all you have to do is pull up the tab and they come right off.. Your setup is looking awesome as always and love the new keyboards..
@@astronuggie I used the command strip picture hanger with the fake nail. I used with it with IKEA's mount and also added command strips with the velcro.
@@astronuggie I've been using command strips 4, of them on the skadis on my wall. It came off twice over the entire year. For long term, I guess drilling it through the wall should bet he way to go
you won't regret em! I got the first version of them and you couldn't interchange packs, but govee recently updated the software to allow extensions so you now can make massive cool designs! thank you!!
I would use command strips )Picture mount type) to hold the top Skadis Panel n place. They can be rated for up to 15lbs if you get the right ones. Or you can get Industrial "Velcro" brand Velcro strips and squares which can rate for up to 25lbs each and spread the across the top of the back of the Skadis panel. the command strips are preferred since they can be removed easily with no residue on the walls. Thy also work great for holding drawer liners in place or mouse pads to desks.
i'd need to stack so many on top of each other for it to touch the pegboard since it's off the wall about 2 inches! hmm i'll look into the industrial ones! thanks!
@@astronuggie I have used a one by one (Or what ever offset tickness you need) and command stripped that to the wall then on the face used command strips to hold the panel. It works well if youused three or four strips. Best part is they can easily be removed from th wall i you decde to change the setup.
Looks good and neat! Am always getting ideas from your videos, so keep them coming 🤪 As for diy tips: commando strips with hooks or similar :) Also if one ain’t got a specific keyboard brush a simple, clean toothbrush does the trick. And third tip is if you really are very bothered by the grey button, you could always paint it white with acrylic while waiting for extra :)
is it because u cant drill holes because the things that stick outwards are so u can put the thing on the wall so it sticks out to add the hooks and trays in ect ?

Hi! I have a suggestion for your wall problem... Why you don't use the wall mount piece to secure it. If you glue or put command straps on them you can secure the Skadis way better than before. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
i'm not sure it'll hold! velcro 3m is definitely the best, but i worry that the pegboard would just rip it off the wall and in turn rip off the paint since it's so heavy lol v_v
for a more stable top area of the pegboard, get *one* set of the hanging bars and the large velcro picture hanging command strips!! there's a video on how to hang the ikea pegboards without drilling so this might be your solution ruclips.net/video/V_lfoIByA7g/видео.html :)) as for the grey hardware parts for the pegboard, white acrylic paint is your best friend lol
