Small correction, the original SP did not go to sleep when the clamshell closed. The DS did that, but the SP would stay running with the screen on when closed!
Yep, sleep functionality would have to be programmed into GBA games, not a lot have it. The EZ Flash Omega Definitive Edition has it built in to the firmware though if you want to do it.
thank you for the correction. I also owned the silver DS and my brain must have combined the memory of leaving pokemon games on sleep for days on end lol.
A company called anbernic makes an sp device that can sleep!
Can you disclose in the description which products you got for free? It'd help with viewers understanding how much bias there might be for any "reviews" espeically when it comes to making a purchasing decision
is this even a review tho?
This isn't a review, all these videos are just ads for random products.
@@dangabriel4732 a very cynical view on it, with no evidence to support it
For all we know, he bought all these himself and gave us his unbiased and honest opinion.
Just a heads up, You are supposed to removed the old pads when installing the "skates".
facts
How do you remove it?
@@opalshemesh1 use your nail for something to pick at it. Then remove all the old adhesive.
@@roman_empire24_79 yes i just carefully used a smallish knife / box cutter or something similar like a smaller nail file would even work, make sure when the old ones are off that you also clean the old sticky glue off too otherwise the ending fit on the new mouse skates will be wonky
he lost me when he applied the mouse skates on the skates...
never thought sticking skates on skates to double the smoothness, dudes a genius
That headphone switch and extension is a game changer
To be honest I watched this video because I saw the gba on the thumbnail, and I was like “how can a gba be a setup upgrade???”💀
i thought it was like some weird widget thing like that 5 inch screen
youtubers tryna explain why a gba sp is necessary for their aesthetic setup:
You NEED it for when you take a break
The MX 3 skates were a game changer for the faux leather desk mat that I use.
the MX 3 already glides so much that I routinely make it fall of my desk by just bumping into it, so I'm not surprised the update doesn't make a huge diff
yes, the stock skates are pretty good. but any skates wear out over time. so you'd have to replace them eventually.
Different mousepads have different speeds. Ptfe skates will still be slow on a control pad like the type99, gsr, or qck. If you want real speed then a glasspad or glass skates on a fast pad like the artisan raiden or shidenkai will slide like ice.
I used my mx 3 on the floor and after replacing skates it became way better
Thank you for the links! Didn't think I'd be as interested in that cute little SP to bring back many good memories but wow, Love to see it!
Just so you know for the MX skates (as well as other mice) you should remove the original skates, bare plastic should show, then clean off any residue and put on the new ones, in the vid it looked like you just placed them on top of the old ones
Your main desk monitor setup looks exceptionally great. What size monitors are you using to make this three-monitor setup, or have you discussed this setup in another video?
Thanks for making these videos.
Excellent video! I'm Brazilian, and about two years ago, I found your channel and loved it. I like to use your videos to train my English and always get new ideas to improve my PC setup.
Nice video, please do more of these. Also, if you have a StreamDeck, you can have an audio toggle. I use it all the time.
This made me queue up the Plastic Love Mariya Takeuchi RMX by Astrophysics. Such legends, they both are.
For the headphone and speakers. I recommend the FIFINE Audio Mixer with sliders. it has tons of inputs and outputs, also has a built in sound card. Sometimes it is on sale for 50.00 or less.
Watched for the setup, subscribed after seeing Kirby Down B! Great song!
love the accessory videos! Really refreshing to see pieces of tech and not the same certain walnut desk accessories 😅.
Kirby Down B’s such a good song
I SOLD MY CHILDHOOD Wii … FOR 30 DOLLARS!!!
(saw em live recently, it was a really good show)
I was about to say sick Harrison Gordon cameo.
Thanks for the MX mouse sliders link. Exactly what I need after having to open up my mouse to clean some junk out of it that was messing with the scroll wheel. The stock pads did not come out of the repair unscathed unfortunately after needing to remove them to access the screws hidden beneath them.
The headphone / speaker switch is exactly what I need!!
Yeah that headphone setup inspired the whole video TBH. It was cheap and made things so much easier lol.
Bro Plastic love is a banger nice to see a city pop fan!
Nice little Flipzizzle there. 💚
I like the functional audio selector. I did have the same issue, but got used to the Windows 11 shortcut. Press Ctl V. The choose the audio out you need.
1:28 you did not blast air at the same way. Before direct at side. After $10 pads, you started about 5 below then up. Guessing: the pads-on after might have slid further
If a monitor that small existed with an OLED screen, that would be game changer. Please showcase it if you do!
A HOTO product! Been eyeing their stuff for a while, good to see one of the content creators I watch use them. :)
I ended up getting an older model of the google hub for $59. . It's touchscreen and voice activated has independent speakers, you don't need to use an HDMI port being they're limited My main use for it is a music streamer with Spotify and, when not in use i have an album set on google photos just for the screen saver
I first added an audio extension cable under my desk back in the 1990's.
Anyone who gets the SP should definitely install the muOS custom firmware on it. It's leagues better.
the audio switcher is a fantastic idea! thanks!
Your videos are incredible. Great production value and always great content. Please keep them coming!!
Anbernic Gameboy's are solid and worth the $50 - $90 they cost
The SP is so nice.
The ptfe skates you got require a break in period try that test again after a few days of heavy use and it’ll be a world of difference. Also you are meant to remove the old skates first
doesnt... doesnt windows change the output automatically? i feel like i'm missing something, if he has an amp it would make more sense, but most amps do the change automatically to right? unless it detects the extension as a headphone and mute the speakers, the switch has no purpose in how he wants to use them, it makes sense if he wants to let them plugged in though
omg i really thought the desk lamp switch on the thumbnail was a grinder😂😭
You are not alone with this comment lmao
If you only need the mouse pad space available on that portable "desk" - you should really look into lowering your dpi for some accuracy xD
ill Buy All Of Them
There are 5 different "RG35" devices, probably beset to differentiate them since they're priced differently/have different features, and 1 of them has a completely different chipset from the rest of them.
Great video! Where did you get the hook that mounts the 1.8mm jack under your desk?
I recently recieved my payement this month, time for purchase!
harrison gordon mentioned!
Hi! I've been following your channel from when it was really small. While i'm basically a nobody when it comes to YT. I spend a lot of time watching desk setup videos and do consulting work for people in the IT space. Would you potentially be open to talking over discord for some thoughts about things that could help you with your channel? I understand if not. but I think i have a perspective you might value very well.
I literally just bought the electrical components to build my own version of the audio splitter, and now all of a sudden I start finding products that fit into that niche 🤦.
I'm not that upset though because my speakers, for whatever reason, are much louder than my headphones and just raw swapping the signal I would still need to adjust the volume on my laptop. The version I'm building is going to have independent volume control for each output to level the volume between the 2 devices.
Plastic Love has had me in a chokehold for like 4 months
Stream deck neo is a good alterna to that 5" screen for $20 more
1:56 Steelseries Sonar can do the same (and much more) for free.
really nice vid!!!!!!
harrison gordon referenced 🔥 🔥
What keyboard do you have. I really like
Where is the link for the leather stand?
What headphones do you use?
Here in Brazil, all those things are absurdly expensive 😂
smack talk by isoknock, rl grime is so valid
2:46 | What is the wallpaper being used?
Glass skates will wear down the mouse pad giving "slow" spots. Just be aware.
6:21 Does this monitor light turn on and off with the monitor power(if plugged in there) or do you have to turn it on secondarily?
Never had one and interested in it being integrated like this to minimize all the switches
Which music player are you using?
howd you manage to balance the small monitor like that? thanks so much in advance!
loved this one!
Just saying, Plastic Love is SO good
For some reason the only product that actually matters is never included in these reviews, and thats the KVM swithc so allow multiple computers to share same monitor, keyboard and mouse. That is the true king of accessories when you work from home.
harrison gordon? nice
i too am obsessed with my office set up lol its getting bad. i have zero need for more shit, but i end up spending more time on looking for shit to help me do work, than actually doing work. i have external 3 monitors, on top of 2 macbooks, and both a large and a small tablet. oh and both an Android and Apple phone lol
woooow, isoxo fan :o
did not expect that either, but really cool, still waiting for the STARsound VIP version to release tho good lord
I love your desk and mouse pad what are they called?
Do I need to connect the monitor to the PC or to the other monitor?
Hey I was wondering what widgets/apps you use on your mini monitors. I watched you mini-monitor 2 vidoe and was very curious about what apps you used to create the calendar, clock, etc. Also what app did you use for the music player on this 5 inch monitor?
Check the description just like he said in the video ...
The form factor does help protect the screen, I'll at least acknowledge that, but there's no way anyone will ever convince me that the sp's form factor was an upgrade to the og gba.
GBA feels better to hold. SP looks better.
@@sylentnoise932 one of those is more important, and it's not the looks.
For the second screen I got an used ipad and installed Duet app
harrison gordon album on the display. peak
is not the distance, is the aceleration
what is the media player with the vinyl turning?
Check the description just like he said in the video ...
How did you get to the conclusion of reducing friction by 10%? I don’t think the force exerted by the air blower is going to be linearly related to the distance from the blower - was there some calculation behind the scenes involved?
Is the portable desk actual leather or pleather? If its pleather itll peel fall apart in no time. Pleather comes off the factory rack with a built in self destruction timer.
Dr Martins vegan boots would like a word
0:26 OOK THATS SCHMART
hello! What's the app that has that vynil when reproducing music? Thanks
What band and cups are you using on your m50x?
For real (commenting hoping for a reply notification). I've badly wanted to upgrade my painful stock cups for a while but the ones that people always used to recommend for them aren't even manufactured anymore. I also didn't even know you could change the band :O
the rg35 has some history of weak hinges!
GREAT FUCKING PICKS! THANK YOU!
5:38 use oldphone. Galaxy S8, S9 and S10 are great and cheap old phones
Nice video! try to do it under 15-20$ 🧐
I need that wallpaper 😭
6:24 - 6:27 what is that monitor layout ? 42inch by 2 27?
About to upload a video about the monitor layout because I've been rocking it for 6 months. It's a 42in OLED in the middle, and two 24 inch portrait monitors on the sides. It's wild.
@@WorkFromHype I appreciate you so much
What is that dial for at 0:20?
I thought it was a weed grinder
6:54
Thanks 👍
60$ for a 5 inch monitor wow
Isn't there an app or something that you can use instead that maybe you can use one of your mouse buttons as a dedicated button to switch between headphones and speakers? I've been considering that for a while but I haven't looked into it and I think the switch is cool that you have but I don't see why it couldn't be done on hardware side instead Like maybe something that you pinned to the toolbar and you can just easily switch between the two. The problem I have right now I mean it's not you pretty much have it that that switch on the right hand side on Windows 11 but for whatever reason and maybe maybe I just need to like maybe there's something I can do to just remove but there's all these different wordings for stuff that I don't need like virtual headphones virtual this and I'm like what I just need the two things to toggle between you know headphones and speakers not all this shit that I don't use
i cant find the leaher desk link, or is it just me?
Cool, separate numpad, mechanical I think- left is the proper position for it but the top is the best incase you have other tools like a pen tablet.
HARRISON GORDON MENTIONED!?!?!?!? 4:54
Anyone tell me what the keyboard at 6:35 is?
wtf why do you need these monitor lamp?! doesn't monitor by yourself radiate light by backscreen lamp? This also creates an uneven backlighting of the monitor and in addition highlights the flaws of the monitor and the smallest dust on it.
No chapters..?
what music player app is that??? 5:52
Should be at the bottom of the video description. These are widgets I downloaded on the Mac App Store that connect to Spotify.
@@WorkFromHype thanks ☺️
You can build a cheaper anbernic with a raspberry pi kit
jesus that mouse skate segment had so much wrong with it 😅
2:51 SoundSwitch can do this in software, for free!
bro listens to isoxo💅🏼
0:05 I thought your watch... never mind.
