I thought the exact same thing. He only replied in a way saying that he've learned alot just to get away, because compared to the whole entire video timing he haven't changed his thoughts of perspective.
like honestly watching all the parts to this ACTUALLY has made me look at some of the things i do and the way i act and think towards any race. thank you tyra
Ayana Ba Change doesn't happen overnight. They obviously had to be politically correct in front of such a large audience....yes some did not sound convincing at all....
( 1:39 ) If that little doesn't turn out to be somebody very well know i would be surprise because i don't know how old she is but she sounds very Intelligent for her age.
This part of the episode made me happy. I mean, I don't believe that they will be complete non-racists after this, but at least most of them had a paradigm shift and gave the people watching at home a new perspective or hope.
this is one of th best episodes of tyra EVA! Shows lyk dis are examples of y tyra is so successful and such a strong person. as much as she goofs around she is a very smart person who knows her stuf and isnt afraid to point out her flaws and stil add personality. many ppl can relate to that.
oh my God tyra banks you are an amazing woman who has changed many lives. This clip made me very thankful, and those kids made me cry, they know so much even tho they are still babies 1:45 . I'm glad Christian and Rami have changed. They really pissed me off before. Thanks Miss Banks for putting them though this and changing their perspective on race and religion
My faith in humanity seems to dwindle left, and right because I can't understand how people can think this way. I am a 20 year old black woman, who was born/raised in NYC by a single mother who did everything in her power to make sure I was educated, open-minded, and accepting of other people. It is baffling when you realize that other parents are sadly not doing the same. With that being said the world needs more people like Norhan and Kalicia =]
The little blond girl at 1:39 is incredibly intelligent. She said the most profound thing and is absolutly right! We need more people with that view in America.
i swear to god i love those kids, their parents did a great job raising them up i wished more parents could raise their children to be this tolerant. that christian can really learn a lot from those kids
I felt so proud of those kids that were talking about voting for someone who could run the country well and how their skin color didn't matter. It just shows that the kids today are better educated which is just awesome. Also, I think that Tyra should do an update on those people who said that they learned so much and will change. Because I think that most of those people were just talking and they won't follow through on what they said.
i think im one of the few level - headed , open minded , reasonable , not brainwashed by society , not brainwashed by govt or anyone , not racist person left on this planet .
thank you! i agree. I'm an asian woman, and if i had been on that show with christian and he's going on about "how he was brought up", I would have told him that as an educated young man of the 21st century, he can think for himself and learn about the world instead of relying on taught perceptions by his parents. If he were in new york for a longer period of time, he would have seen the cosmopolitan and diversity of a country bound together by educated minds. :)
Guys when I was in elementary school, race didn't matter at allll. Then I went to middle school in 6th grade..still didn't matter. Then seventh grade came and everyone told racist jokes and race was like everything. I'm a freshman in high school and hope I won't see too much of this. I don't know if it's cause I live in Tennessee, but people are so ignorant it's disgusting. I HOPE THESE CHILDREN DONT CHANGE.
This episode.. made me so mad during, yet the ending made me really happy knowing that there's hope for love and equality and even the most ignorant of people can be enlightened and changed forever. :) Isn't that awesome?!
@xradelox your comment almost made me cry im 14 and been through descrimination a lot and i have been telling people the exact thing i think you are an amazing person
When i was growing up i had never seen a difference in color of peoples skin and there background, I'm sixteen I've lived in Ireland my whole life and i have had friends of many races and i would never stereotype them for there skin color, just because someone is a different skin color/nationality to us doesn't mean they are any different to us.
i'm so sorry to hear that u went through so much pain throughout this show but i honestly wanna let u know that not everyone r like these ppl in this show...well at least i'm NOWHERE near like them for one :) n i'm SURE there r many many ppl out there who thinks like me too :) have a great day n take care.
People are stupid sometimes. I will be the first to admit, I fall prey to stereotypes, but I will never let my ignorance hurt someone, and I WILL change.
Here's the thing... Most of you are on Christians case, but myself being Muslim and Indian, I know that a lot of my old friends and people I knew were exactly the same way. You aren't born to hate, you are taught that. When people ask me my religion and I say I am muslim, many aren't perceptive to it... but you can't fight to make things right, education is key. Christian just needs to be educated on RACE and CULTURE. Goodluck to all.
theyre not being told by the producers if thats what u mean, but im sure they have heard those statements from their parents...but that just gets tyra's point across even more because she was saying that its up to the parents to change the way we treat each other, and if those kids are saying those things after hearing their parents say it, then we're making progress♥
that was amazing, and even though christian was racist he was HONEST he didn't try to hide his true feelings or whatever and despite how much i hate his views i respect that and i REALLY hope that they all got SOMETHING from this!
i think people have to note that they picked TWO different age groups. when a study is done you have to stay within the same age group to see a real difference. the second group was older and are ALITTLE more influencled upon than the younger ones.
@Euroensiklopediya I so agree with you. Racial perceptions don't change as easy as this show tried to put it... at the end they still tried to portray "The country is not that fucked up, we do have hope for a change" and leaving aside their obvious intentions I do hope they still have a chance.
Those kids in the beginning seem INCREDIBLY mature and smart for their age on talking about politics and barack obama. They seem more mature than a lot of adults!
Not sure if any of them changed or had some enlightenment (even if it was just a little), but I have this strong feeling that the boy from Texas won't apply any of what he learned or fall back into his old ways. He seemed so adamant during the "experiment". The girl who claimed she was Christian with the glasses too, whose name I can't recall. Those two seemed to be beyond help or redemption.
i would have given every one of those people the benefit of the doubt (in the scenarios) im a white woman, and i have never been racist towards anyone, but i also love to celebrate our differences, and have experienced a lot of racism directed towards me because i am white and almost expected to be a racist...it hurts to be called a racist too, but we can end racism if we keep educating people who are ignorant who will teach their children and so on and so on
I am merely referring to the fact that his part white is never mentioned - yet in real society (day to day life) mixed kids have a difficult time mixing with blacks or whites.
the thing about asian stereotypes is that they aren't negative - they're the study type, their family run a restaurant or they have unpronounceable names - hence it's not really a big issue.
in a way i think they have changed because they have been viewed on national television and they realized that they only represented a small ignorant portion of america and they were called out on it. i love the muslim woman though, because she can hold her debate well and she held herself up with confidence and shut the racists down.
Wow, this is really great. Everyone has changed to the "good person" at the end. Thats hilarious. In my personal opinion the fact that you lie through the television is not a good way to somehow change someones mind (if that is even possible). I mean, they all are probably just actors...
@123Shazzam123 ok i dunno y ur comment was removed lol but i dunno ive experienced alot of racism and i live in the uk. ppl over here just never talk about it and its kinda scarey cz i dunno if ppl think its inappropriate to speak of it or they dont think its that bad to be racist?
This series of 5 videos really was a shock for me. I mean, personally if I compare this scenario with western Europe or urban India, it seems that I have lived in a completely different planet for 23 yrs of my life! From my 2 visits to the country and shows such as this one, I find that ignorant racism is surprisingly tolerated way too much in USA. I would be very happy to be proved wrong though!
it's so sad how ppl discriminate against each other..like they feel hurt when others say bad stuff bout them..yet they make rude comments about another race. i find racism disgusting and will never dream of judging ppl against their colour, as i have learnt the pain first hand. Racism is stupid, we're all equals, we're all PEOPLE. We just branch out in different 'species' of people, a bit like animals. i honestly don't know why the world has not moved on.
that girl who sed that color doesnt matter is wonderfull, its so nice that there groving a new generation that understand that its a personality and not a color, sexual orientaition, religion is matter. Im prowd of her and of peoples who raised her.
Thank you. It's people like you and mscocoblack who with a world-wise attitude will make the difference in an otherwise ignorant society that christian (the guy) or any other race with preconceptions of others. Yes, racism is prevalent, but it needn't be so in our forseeable future. Peace!
It's nice to know that the children of this century can actually base a person on his/her importance to the country rather than race. If this test was done before (should we have a white or black) president, they would have mostly picked the white. But at least now they can still say the white president, but with a reason to back it up rather than he looks better.
The little girl with glasses made my heart smile... "The color of your skin really doesn't matter" :)
Those kids were the most smart out of all those adults.
LOL at the Black Girl clapping at the end. I doubt one hour of Tyra's show cured Christian of his prejudice views.
Who is to say his "prejudiced" views were wrong to begin with?
JungleListSoldier People with basic common sense who actually try to be informed of the world around them? I know, seems weird, right?
I honestly think he was trolling...There is no way in hell someone who is that bigoted and racist would ever change that easily.
i'd do him...and i agree with the twilightspirit69...lol i'll show him that latinos come in all shades...and mixed.
Raise your kid like her 1:47. I want to hug her.
Right! I had to pause the video and ckap
Some of those kids sounded more educated and informed than individuals I talk to in college.....
I was where did they find these lil mini adults...lol very smart babies.
The last kids were amazing!
You can tell they were lying though.
Lol that what I said
Ayana Ba Change doesn't happen overnight. They obviously had to be politically correct in front of such a large audience....yes some did not sound convincing at all....
lol christian's a good boy, he didn't mean those things I can tell.
@@Soundeagle3456 stop excusing these white boys, he was a damn lie and you know it, he just wanted to be able to still get a job afterwards
@@Soundeagle3456 or r u using Christian as a representation of urself. Do u mean u have said something racist in which u regret.
1:41 and 1:58 - faith in humanity restored.
Who are these smart ass kids? LOVE.
Likea 9 year old knows about republicans and shit like that there parents obviously told the what to say
"George bush has done way too much" - YOU PREACH IT GIRL!
This was faker than the WWE.
Aww the little redheaded girl was so adorable!
( 1:39 ) If that little doesn't turn out to be somebody very well know i would be surprise because i don't know how old she is but she sounds very Intelligent for her age.
I Miss the Tyra banks show
Tyra Banks really deserved her Emmy. She brings up very interesting and relevant topics.
the girl at 1:47
literally almost made me cry
id be proud to call her my daughter.
"he will run this country very smoothly!" lol awww :)
I would love to see a follow up on Christian and Brittney to see if they really DID change.
You guys don't really think that their view on race changed right? They're just saying that to make the audience and tyra happy.
The little blond with the glasses made me laugh. You can see her mom coming through hahaha
all are liars...they ain't learn sheez, they're just saying that for tv.
I think their perspective changed at least some. There was progress there. Don't discount it all.
@@kalpic11 shut up bitch you fell for the lie, they weren't racists they were pretending.
@@Soundeagle3456 lmfao
1:39 This little girl is more clever than Christian

I just want to know how pigs are helping women live wrinkle free.
lmaooo
I love kids!!! they think so simply, pure n true. thanks for all the episodes because i rarely have time to watch!! thanks!!
Christian was super ugly when he started talking all that ignorant smack, but at the end he started looking a lil cute maybe he did change lol
Those kids really give me hope that things will get better and we can understand each other more
She is sooooooo adorable and she is even smarter than freakinggggg Christian and Britney! (: She is also a better person than those two idiots!
All I can say to those children is "Amen". I'm glad to see that there is hope for a better tomorrow, and possibly a better today.
My faith in humanity seems to dwindle left, and right because I can't understand how people can think this way.

i love when the little girl said both bc color doesnt matter. it makes me feel that maybe we have a good future.
"How Pigs are Helping Women Stay Wrinkle Free" threw me off in the beginning lol!
The Christian guy was cool for admitting that he had to change.
I honestly think they said there views of other ppl of others changed just bcuz they were on tv. Not bcuz they actually learned something.
I love Tyra =) there were so many things I learned from this show and many other shows.
The voting scene was fantastic. The ones who voted for both were so wise :) I pray that things DO change.
when I listen to that last girl..it brought tears to my eyes..´cause I wished it would be like that..and I do all I can to raise my kids that way

Race is everywhere. You just cannot ignore it or else you would be way behind in life.
I totally agree. Like with Christian, he said that to his roommate, but when he looked back to the front, his expression looked SO pained.
