NMS dynamic foveated rendering update took one of their game developers 4 months pf rewriting the game engine to work with PSVR2s eye tracking. Although NMS uses a custom engine - hopefully most UE4 / 5 games are easier to add DFR to. I understand Arizona Sunshine 2 and Project Wingman both use it at least (hopefully Vertigo 2 as well). Apparently Hellsweeper used an older build of Unity that didn't support it which is why they're gonna take a few months to port the game engine over to the branch of Unity that does support DFR. On the PS5 Pro rumours NXGamer all but debunked the myth of a PS5 Pro. He said the leaked specs were likely the newer version of the latest AMD cards that are likely to be downclocked to run at the same specs as a standard PS5 only because AMD aren't making the old chips design found in the current PS5.
Gary, I like that you brought up binocular overlap. That's a thing that rarely gets mentioned. I wish it could be measured and compared for every headset.
I will definately get the Quest 3 based on the specs and first impressions of meta ambassadors, especially as I was a bit disappointed 'upgrading' to the Quest 2 from the Quest.
I'm not interested in Mixed Reality with the Quest 3 at all, but maybe once I have a good experience I'll change my mind-- for now though, it always gets a big shrug from me, and I don't care about the small demos I've seen so far. HOWEVER, I'm excited for those pancake lenses, that should be a game changer. I expect lots of people will think they can just stick with the Quest 2 for now, but if they get a chance to see the differences between the lenses then that could sell the headset for them.
awesome episode as always, thanks guys
Glad you liked it, as always we appreciate your support 😎 (Lee)

Gutted I wanted to come up to the Museum to me you guys and try out the retro games - but car trouble put an end to that!
Maybe next time!
