I am on v65 PTC now and still have wifi issues. v63 was fine. Not sure how a company like Meta has a device that can't stay connected to wifi reliably. Nothing has changed in my network and I know how to properly manage it. Just a Meta bug. Luckily I'm mostly playing wired link UEVR stuff so it's not been a major problem for me except for the annoying "wifi disconnected" pop-ups.

I'm on v65, but the only Wifi issue I've noticed is with the Quest 3 taking longer to connect to my separate routers. Going from my home router to my office router took about 5-minutes for it to recognise the change for some reason (it wasn't connected to any router for that time even though I was about a metre from my dedicated office router). Once I'm connected, it's been fine, although I've only been in Fallout 4 a couple of times since recording this show to test it anyway.

@@ImmersedRobot Not had any wifi issues here, but I believe I'm using the same model router that you have.

That 799$ headline was clickbait - it's cheaper without controllers. But even if you have your own index controllers, then if you need to buy additional faceplate for SteamVR tracking and it probably evens out.
Unless you can somehow track your controllers with base stations and use Pimax inside out tracing at the same time.

There is a way to use Lighthouse-based motion controllers with the inside-out tracked Crystal using a piece of special software (can't remember the name of it now, but there are guides out there).
I think the $799 price might be just there to get people in on the ground floor IF they want the full motion controller experience. I think the Lighthouse tracking for the headset is completely unnecessary for sim-gaming, and of course so are the controllers. It's a good deal for sim gamers, but I think otherwise you're correct. If you want the full VR experience with motion controllers etc, then the price is probably going to be higher in getting that top tier experience.

@@ImmersedRobot what sucks is that there is no option to buy the base version (without local dimming) without controllers but with the steamvr faceplate.
