500 that’s awesome, congrats! I think leaving a card in the street library letting them know that Australian Book Channels donated some books would give them a smile. Please do it! It’s a way that the library manager can connect with their community. Absolutely do it. I would love it if I had a library.

@waggleforage2016. Thank you so much. It has been and continues to be, an exciting journey.
We will have a think about letting each street library know whether we have 'been there' or not. We are hoping that it would not be seen as trying to promote ourselves unnecessarily. Although we absolutely understand your thinking. We will take time to ponder, and thank you for letting us know what you think as this helps to support that particular idea. xx

500!!! Congratulations! I am so glad to see your channel developing. Little free libraries idea is just wonderful. And your idea about competition for both Northern and Southern Hemisphere sounds very interesting as well as supporting independent bookstores. But for me the most fascinating part of this video was the story about your animals. It’s my passion and I appreciate that so much. Thank you and I wish you and the channel all the best.

Thank you Daria. I love reading your positive and friendly messages. You are another great supporter of the channel. Thank you.
We hope you enter the competition! and we hope to do the ABT community proud with the cleaning of the street libraries and adding to their content. We hope this works!
Supporting independent bookshops is so important to us and I am guessing, to you also..... AND supporting other positive, informative and overall wonderful, hard-working You-tubers is another passion of ours that needs some more thinking about...and we will!! (all in good time. Slowly, slowly we shall have a plan and let you all know).
      love from Australia

Congrats on your growing channel! so lovely to get to know you, Cheryl. Loved seeing your dog in this video - I grew up with a very loved Irish Setter ( having 5 siblings - our dog was much loved! ) - is that the breed of this fur family member?! we here in the US love our 'little free libraries', it's refreshing to hear someone else talk about cleaning them up - in our travels. I'm definitely here for the book content, and greatly appreciate your recommendations - and love when you share a book haul. I also can appreciate the armchair travel too - when you bring us along on your adventures - thank you!! have a wonderful week - hope to see some future videos with you sharing your horses too! Jacqueline

Good Morning Jacqueline! (it is morning here and likely morning when you get to read this)
Thank you so very much for your support, joining the channel and watching and commenting on the videos.
We are so pleased that you enjoyed seeing the dogs (well, one of them....the other features in the travel videos alongside Rune). I guess I should introduce our 'boys' in the next video...perhaps on Monday during the book recommendation and ......another unboxing!!!
Arthur George is an English Springer Spaniel (our second Springer, as we loved our first boy, Charlie so much that we decided to continue with Springers in our life)
Rune (as in rune stones) Bear is our Irish Setter. I grew up with Irish Setters and eventually began showing and obedience trialling them across Australia, many moons ago. I will always love my Irish. Perhaps I will give you more background on my time with the Irish, also in Monday's video?
Anyway, so pleased you have joined us on the channel and do keep in touch. It is super to hear from everyone across the world with 'like minds'. We all need the positivity and community spirit in times as we find ourselves in.
      Happy reading and safe travels
      Until the next video
      ABT (Cheryl) xx

@@AustralianBookTravels-ii8iy thank you so much for the lovely response! Looking forward to another unboxing video! Don't know why, but I love watching people share their current finds/buys. Any content on your family of pets would be most welcome by many of your viewers, I'm sure. Love the names of your dogs too - spaniels are another lovely breed - I have a neighbor that walks a King Charles spaniel daily - she's so sweet. My daughter adopted an Australian Shephard, born almost a year ago now and he is so sweet - loads of energy though! his markings are striking ( red-tri). Agree with needing to seek out what brings us joy and contentment in these very unsettled times we are living in. I'm thankful for so many wonderful channels I've discovered. Hope you have a lovely weekend! winter in your part of the world-right? Just starting to feel like summer here in the US (Maine). ☺

      @@JacquelineCaron Good Morning Jacqueline!
Yes, we have only just begun our Winter, here in Australia. Central Victoria suffers extremes in weather, so in Summer it is not abnormal to face 45 degree Celsius during the day for sustained periods and in the Winter, at night, temperatures can be below 0 degrees. We tend to suffer frosts as a result and we do have low rainfall throughout the year. We do struggle with growing and maintaining a garden, but we use permaculture methods with a good deal of mulching around plants. This works beautifully.
The 'boys' (dogs) do feature in most of our videos. We see them as 'team members' in this wonderful adventure. We are not sure they see it that way!!😄
Hopefully you will continue to watch and enjoy the channel and move along with us as we 'evolve'. We would certainly appreciate it.
We will 'see' you on Monday for the 'unboxing' or even today (Saturday our time) for the newly uploaded travel video.
      See you then.
      Take care
      ABT (Cheryl)

Love this channel, stumbled across the Maldon tour which was fantastic. So well shot with commentary that keeps one’s interest. Sprucing up street libraries is a lovely way to give back, which I’m sure would be appreciated. Thank you for such fascinating content!

How did you manage to transport a pig from Tasmania to Victoria?

    • @AustralianBookTravels-ii8iy
      @AustralianBookTravels-ii8iy  Месяц назад

Hello @LOYDGRACE. Thank you for joining the channel and watching the video.
We transported five horses, one pet dairy cow, one pet goat, one pet sheep and one pet pig along with our other domestic animals, on a commissioned horse transport truck which then went by sea overnight from Tasmania to Victoria. There were no requirements to transport from Tasmania to Victoria although we did worm, and health check all animals before departure. We hired out the whole truck for transport and the horse transport company were fantastic during the journey, notifying us at each rest stop and taking photos of each of our wonderful companions for our benefit. I travelled on the same ship with my vehicle and dogs and cats, so I was kept well informed of everyone's comfort along the way. It was an amazing feat of logistics but each of the four footed arrived on our property in Victoria calmly and clearly happy without any fuss.
Thank you for taking an interest.
      Happy reading and safe travels
