    Miss Read is the ultimate comfort read,I love her stories. I just finished 'Village Christmas' for Christmas in July, 'No Holly for Miss Quinn' is another of her Christmas stories I love. Miss Read and D.E.Stevenson are my favorite comfort writers 🥰 I have not heard of 'Waymakers but it sounds very interesting, and I had also not heard of Sylvia Fenton! Yay for new suggestions! Have you read the memoires of Aussie author Sara Henderson? They are just for you,her love for animals shines through! Can't wait to hear about the Jane Austen play,I bet it will be so good. Jane is my favorite novelist and I re-read her novels every year, isn't Mr.Collins hilarious in P&P 😂😂 Anyway, thank you for a lovely Monday book video,I love your chats! ❤️

      She is the best, Anne! The best comfort read, I believe.
      Waymakers is a book I do think you would enjoy. Perhaps put it on your wish-list. I do think you will not go wrong with this one.
      Sylvia Fenton's book/books of her cottage life and love of animals/wildlife, are certainly a 'must' read too. I am looking at seeing them back in publication.....bare with me on this one, it may take time and poking and annoying publishers, but let's see if I can do it!
      Talk later

    Another Miss Read fan here 👋 have read all of Fairacre and Thrush Green series. Such a comfort read and lovely to dip back into every now and then. I’ve never heard of Sylvia Fenton but love the sound of her memoirs. Will certainly look out for them! Another wonderful books review. Thank you 📚

      Good Morning @vintagesue!
      Miss Read's books are the ultimate comfort read, I believe. There are a collection of books to be kept and re-read whenever there is uncertainty or a need to 'bunker down', particularly during Winter.
      Sylvia Fenton's two nature/memoir books should definitely be on people's bookshelves, I think and I aim to poke and prod until I see them back in publication (stay tuned).
      So pleased that you enjoy the reviews/recommendations. Please do let us know if you have any particular suggestions or ideas that you would like to see implemented in the channel. We are continually looking and researching ideas for viewers.
      Happy reading and safe travels

      @@AustralianBookTravels-ii8iy Hi Cheryl, you often mention about your love of cooking. I love your cookbook recommendations and was thinking it would be nice to maybe share some recipes you’ve made. Would also love to see more about your day to day life on the land with the animals/gardening etc. always enjoy “a day in the life of…” segments too…they’re quite popular on RUclips. I live on a property in the Hunter Valley and I’m always interested in seeing other people’s properties and how they go about their day to day. I must say I love that you’re Australian too. I don’t think there’s enough Aussie RUclipsrs out there showing off our beautiful country. If there are I haven’t found them. I follow mostly UK people as I have a love of all things British! Keep up the wonderful content you’re producing. It’s greatly appreciated. 💚

      @vintagesue! Good Morning!
      I have read your lovely comment and be rest assured, I am taking your suggestions on board! Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know what you think or suggest. It is greatly appreciated. We need feedback to give viewers what they want/like/appreciate (within reason, of course).
      These are ideas (and more) that we have been toying with lately. There is so much that we want to present to viewers, but we understand that we need to do so whilst keeping the core value (books) in sight. We are negotiating with ourselves on how best to present your suggestions and our ideas, with individuality. The ideas are flowing, it is just a matter of time, I think.
      We have begun the initiative of cleaning and stocking any street library we come across in our travels as part of 'giving back' to communities that we visit and film and we are filming and promoting pet friendly historic accommodation that we use whilst filming......but we do have other ideas to expand on this, again, time and careful planning is imperative to our ideas becoming reality.
      We hope you enjoy these ideas/videos, but we understand that we need, and have other aspects of life, as you suggest, that are of interest to viewers.
      Leave it with us, give us time and hopefully, you will be happy with the result!
      Thank you again, for your wonderful comment and suggestions. We truly appreciate it. More importantly, we are chuffed that you watch and enjoy the channel thus far.
      Happy reading and safe travels
