This is the first speedrun for this game I've seen, and... Treating walls as suggestions. Using reloading and weapon switching to bypass attack rate limits. Using the demodulator early. Respawning on 6 from the groves. (Had no idea you could do that.) Ignoring the transmitters. Long-jumping to the center of Level 8. Getting a V-Mail while in cyberspace. XD ...I knew this game was broken, but this... this is beautiful.
Also since the auto destruct is skipped, I like that SHODAN apparently starts separating the bridge out of sheer panic because of the rapidly approaching unstoppable Hacker. XD
You can respawn on Alpha and Delta Groves but you're not supposed to be able to respawn on Beta grove; whether that's an exploit or a down-right cheat I don't know

Learning how to do the clips shown off in this speedrun turned an good game into an incredible experience. Thank you for uploading this awesome speedrun.
I see that the death track decided to replace most of the soundtrack. On another note, I'm sad that this game seems so underrated, especially when compared to the sequel.
How much do you think some of the tech changes for the dos version? I'm going to try and speed run my original DOS copy on original hardware. Just going to be difficult without mouse look support.

I never played the original system shock. It's crazy how recognisable almost all the areas are from the remake.

@@JacobShekter They didn't respawn from Beta, they went back to 6 and then killed themself to move to the respawn bay faster
You can respawn to level 6 on all groves except Beta Grove

I love the remake, it is a near one to one copy and I love the changes they did make. Like, how Edward Diego feels like an actual boss.

Most of it still works. There are ways to still lean into walls to activate things on the original game
