This is just superb, I been tryin to find out about "difference between qigong and yoga" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my colleague got great success with it.
I am the same, life long asthma and heavy chest cold, I am winded walking. But these exercises have really helped. Do them your way, and be very slow. Focus on full/empty, rise/fall, flow in, flow out, yin, yang. Find balance. Let go of tension. Use your imagination, bring in a color, exhale what does not serve you.

Yes this is amazing.... But you all must research. Everyone has covid ... There are external factors that for so,e cause it to manifest and attack your immune system, research it, because it's not as bad as they are making us think, I have six family members that have had it. Including me, everyone has it. We have evolved with viruses ,now manipulated by man... Just keep doing qigong for these crazy times
this inspired me to get up and clean my room... then my house lol so I could do this in a clean, nice environment. I just quit smoking and this made me feel amazing. gonna practice everyday now, thank you for sharing :)

I smoked for 30 years and quit, the cravings only last a short time after a couple of weeks you can take them or leave them just remember it's all in your head, good luck
I've had asthma since childhood and very weak breathing. I did this one time so far, and I ended up coughing after, clearing wetness from my lungs. Feels great!
This is excellent Ive had a full year of breathing problems after covid, and I had been feeling dizzy all day .after doing this I got a lot of phlegm up, and the dizziness calmed down too, Many Thanks.

@@adunia1984 Good morning Adunia. I'm also a qualified yoga teacher and would suggest that you try yo learn various nose breathing techniques. In yoga we call this breathing 'Pranayama' in case you hear someone use this. Tai chi plus these exercises have to be done regularly especially if you are new to this. In Winter or damp weather which is not best time for asthmatics, suggest if you can try using Vitamin D3. I've heard that this is helpful for the respiratory system. Vitamins C and zinc helps too. I know it can be expensive but use what you need given your circumstances. RUclips has many good videos and tune in to Yoga channels. Ester Eckhart is good. If you live in UK contact BWY British Wheel of Yoga They can help you out too.

I have a rare lungs disease since 20 years and traditional yoga and chinese martial arts ( kung fu and qi gong) prevented me from disability...until lock down and 2 severe covid besides all the precautions I took since two years. My immune system has become non existant and I cannot do anyhting anymore, mentally nor physically..until 10 days ago when I kept on seaching for qi gong close to my practise ...and.... I found your channel and videos ! A true miracle ! I started with gentle practice ( breathing techniques, 8 brocards) and then more dynamic traning; Since I train 2 h30 a day and my strenght is coming back, I can reconnect to my practise since I now cannot go anymore to live classes , I breath much better and my oxygen saturation level has reached almost the level before february 2020, I can think again and do little things I could not do anymore since months; you also me give hope and positive spirit; I never met such a wonderful teacher and interesting, clear, fun, kind and also demanding teaching. I can't wait to feel better to be able to follow online courses ! You help me more than all the physiotherapists , pulmunologists and the other masters / teachers I met before . I'm going to use this everyday. I've seen students do this kind of breathing when I was 13 years old when I did bei shaolin for 2 months. Since I was too young at the time, they didn't make me do it, i'm not sure why. Now that I'm 26 years old, I feel I've gotten a weird breathing and some weird pain when I breathe, right after I've gotten sick here in Brazil (a great part of fellow countrymen do not care if I or anyone get sick). After I did the exercise, it is ridiculous how it made me feel better. I have a deviated nasal septum so It's probably even better considering that. Thank you so much for this! Gotta take better care of my health and without this kind of content we would be sitting ducks.
