  • Happy Saturday Everyone,
    So today Shifu Yan Xin (34th Generation Shaolin Disciple) Share his version of Ba Duan Jin (八段锦) with us. This is sometime known as 8 pieces brocade or 8 pieces of silk qigong. This is a great Shaolin Qi Gong exercise to do during this pandemic as this ancient Qi Gong from China has so many benefits for the body and strengthens our organs.

      Also be sure to remove ultra-processed foods a nd seed oils from your family’s diets. And to sleep 7-9 hours a night.

    Thank you Sifu..Best Demonstration of 8 Brocade Qigong I have seen yet! I feel clear & invigorated afterwards..only thing I would recommend, "I practiced at bedtime one night & was awake with a surge of energy for the night! Best in the day to practice, for me anyhow..Thanks again Sifu🥰💛🙏

    This is so convienant to follow along too after online course, anyone thats doing the course on the website with shifu, i recommend saving this video as a reference to follow later, as its straight through and course is broken down and has a lot of explanation and detail. just a suggestion

    Even though Kung Fu is not one of the martial arts I practice. I've come across these breathing technique and movement videos and I love them!! It's so much more fun than yoga. I find the movements you do will help in my martial arts training. Thank you Sir for sharing these 🙏🏼🙏🏼

    I have been doing this series of movements for 2 weeks. Previously I was struggling to get 6 hours of sleep every night. Currently I am sleeping soundly for a bit more than 7 hours and waking feeling refreshed. The only thing I can credit this change to is Ba Duan Jin since nothing else has changed in my daily routine. I'm very impressed with this result! Thank you Sifu!

      Hello Kenya :) regarding the breath, in Ba Duan Jin for my personal opinon most breaths inhale & exhale are Deep Relax and Expand the movement to maximume, excepet the movement on number 7 "Angry Eyes" we need tight up our body muscls. hope this helps :)

    I started practicing Qi Gong, specifically the Eight Brocades, about half a year ago, and I've followed a lot of different videos, but it took me a while to find yours. It has become my daily morning standard. Love the specifics on breathing and tension/release. Thank you!

      Could questions... I tend to close my eyes is this ok... also I try to go slower and if can hear myself breathing, maybe I am breathing to much effort?

      Good question. I would suggest to keep you eyes open, otherwise your focus will move to how to balance your body. Going slower is perfectly fine, the key is to have your Qi (speed of breathing) to match the speed of your movement. It is good to hear your self breathing, it meaning you are consciously working on the strength of your breath (Qi). Hope this helps. Keep up with the good work.

    Thank you for this video. I used to practise martial arts before i started studying and working, its a pity that qi gong was unfortunately not known in my area those days it would have surely helped me ans many others dealing with stress.     I love your enthusiasm. And, you did a great video with the 8 Brocades. I loved the Flinched fist posture you did. I'm confused after seeing so many ways of doing the postures. You and another teacher I saw inhale into the punch. Does it matter if you inhale or exhale into the punch? Looking forward to learning more.

    I'm just getting off of my Quarantine from Covid-19 (nothing too serious thankfully) and need to get back in some shape (although I've always managed to be healthy).     Qigong is locked away in back of my head. I learned multiple styles when I was younger and in the Chen taiji training i went through the teacher would start the class with these movements but as of now life is hard so I am going back through my hard style li jun ren five ancestors fist
