Wayyyy late on this, but I was just custom fit into i210s and they're just phenomenal.
Mark, your PING reviews were what pushed me towards them as my custom fitter of choice. Always such an honest brand with an engineering focus on things that actually work. It always shows how much you respect their approach.

I have the i 200 I don’t think I would change. I do like my clubs very much. The fit and finish is so clean. I think the more I play with them the better they look. My handicap was about 24 when I got fit and ordered my clubs. I am sitting at 18 4 months later. I know they have helps me to improve my path and strikes.

Mark, I have enjoyed many of your videos this summer. I took your advice and tried many irons, with different fitters. Found one fitter I was comfortable with and narrowed my selection to Mizuno JPX 919 forged and Ping i 210. Today I placed my order for the Pings. I considered adding a Ping 500 for a 5 iron, but ultimately decided just keep them all i 210. My Rinky Dink is Callaway Steelhead 7 wood. It fills a gap in my game that no other club can do. Thanks for all the great advice.

Great review as usual Mark. I’ve never really liked the look of Ping irons in the past, although I’ve always totally respected them as a brand and what they’re about, but now the i200, i210, i500, glide wedges and the G400 max drivers all look amazin, definitely on my radar now, thanks Ping and thanks again Mark 🏌️‍♂️👍

I own a set of the i200s, and honestly - they are far and away the best clubs I have owned. Going from 'longer' irons (XR16 Pros)to something I can rely on for distance and spin relative to strike has made me understand my own game a hell of a lot more. I was happy to sacrifice the 'distance' per iron in order to achieve the kind of control I have got now. Phenomenal irons. Great review. Would love to see a comparison between the i200s and the i210s.

Just ordered a set of these, had a fitting, moving from forged Mizunos to the 210, have to say based on the fitting alone very impressed and can’t wait for the call to say they are in. Feel is comparable to the forged mizunos and hopefully a bit more forgiveness.

    • @biggeecee359

I’ve just done exactly the same today. Got the G410’s early last year but once I added the Glide 3 wedges a few months later I knew I needed that feel in my irons. Tested the 210’s and i500’s and there was no contest in the feel stakes - 210’s were far better - and dispersion was super tight. Also tried the P790’s which I found every bit as good as the 210’s but couldn’t see the value in the extra £200+ cost.

Great review Mark. I just received my i210 iron set this morning and played them for the first time this afternoon. These are replacing an Apex CF16 combo set that I've been playing for 2 years. After watching this review and several others, I tested the the i210's along with the i500's and Mizuno Mp-18sc. The feel, sound and flight of the i210's best suited me and I ordered them that day. The club fitter told me that I needed 1" over length, mid size grips 2 degrees up and reg flex. I'd been playing 1.5 over, std grips, o degrees and stiff shafts based upon a Callaway fitting 2 years ago..
i'm of the mind that it's the indian, not the arrow so my expectations were tempered. As usual, I hit some good shots (most) and some not so good shots (a few) typical of a 6 index player. The larger grip and slightly shorter shaft require some adjustments and a few range sessions to get totally comfortable with them but I believe these will do the job very nicely. The look great behind the ball and inspire confidence. The sound and feel are just what I wanted and they allow me to get a bit creative with my shot making which makes the game more fun. They aren't longer than the Apex's but that was not my priority.
Thanks again for the review and sorry I didn't test Titleist ;-). They just didn't appeal to me and I know you're cool with that. That is why I respect your subjective opinions and test data. With your Vlogs, blogs and equipment tests, you're providing valuable services for the golf community and I enjoy supporting you in those efforts.
    Cheers,
    Rob

Update: I've been playing the i210's now for a week and have played several rounds on different course layouts and conditions. The i210's have been stellar. I don't know if this is just a honeymoon period or they really are that good.
Yesterday I played a very tight par 70 mountain course with big elevation changes and many blind second shots. I was hitting the driver the best I have in years and had many wedges or short irons into the green from the blue tees (approx 6K yds). My best score on this course had been 74 (I'm a six index) and I shot a 5 under 30 (3 consecutive birdies and an eagle) on the back nine with a couple of missed under 10' birdie putts. Combined with a one over 36 on the front I shot 66 which is one less than my age! I haven't shot in the 60's since my college playing days back in the 70's and never went that low then so to say this round came as a surprise is a huge understatement.
DId the i210's have anything to do with it? I can say that I love the look feel of them and I was very confident over the ball. The fast pace of play helped (played in 3.5 hours) but it was the best round of my life and suffice to say, the i210's have earned a spot in my bag ... ;-)

Just picked up a set and after two rounds, I’ll say they are fantastic clubs! I’ve found the perfect amount of forgiveness in these. Still a fairly smaller head and reasonably thin top line, with an ascending offset as you get into the longer irons. It’s exactly what I need as a 9 HCP who wanted forgiveness and playability in one.

Good call out with the U wedge. Ping are one of the few offering a more player like club that has a matched gap wedge available. Ping irons are made to last, they stay in players bags for a lonnnnnnnng time. One less wedge to replace if its holding up with the set

So turns out I ended up getting these after much debating.
I was a little concerned that people class them a players iron given I’m an 18 handicapper however, these are by far the best irons I have ever owned.
They are more forgiving than I realised. I’m not normally confident enough to hit 4 iron anywhere but would I was pulling it out more than ever and didn’t miss a fairway.
These go really well with my new glide 3.0 wedges and overall I am mega happy.
First time I used them and come 5th white medal which was a great start. Would have won had I been able to put.
    Highly highly recommend these!

David Richard great question David. I too always wondered why so many people (generally middle aged and older) have always loved Ping. Personally, I cannot speak to their performance, but I was never EVER able to look at any of their offerings without getting sick to my stomach, (until maybe 3 years ago, when the S55 came out.). I know looks are subjective, but I mean can't we all agree that Ping has always made some of the most hideous clubs out there, yet they always sold, and sold good. So I'm really intrigued on knowing what it is that put Ping on the map with such great success... i understand the Eye2's truely were something revolutionary, but like they're G5-30 offerings or even I3-30's. Are they that good that people would actually purchase something so off putting? Please share the light with me 🤔💡

Yes- the look is not that great. The thing though with PING irons is they work- real good. GREAT dispersion and accuracy and very forgiving. I love Mizuno and Titleist blades, but I have to admit I have shot some of my best rounds with PING irons, and at the end of the day the scorecard could care less how good your irons look.

I just recently was fitted for a new set of irons. I am a 12 handicap, but my irons have always been my strength. I went into my fitting thinking I'd end up with something from TaylorMade since I've used their clubs for the past 15 years. I have always hated the look of ping irons for the same reasons you have mentioned but the look of the I210 is amazing and the feel is soft. These clubs are def worth a look if your searching for a player type iron that also provides great feel and forgiveness. Just my 2 cents.

Tried the 1210's vs the i500's this day and ordered the I210's on the spot. I swing 75 mph with a 5i and play off of a 12 hdcp ordered them with Ping awt 2.0 reg shafts +1/2 inch White color code. Didn't even both to check my numbers on a monitor as I saw all I needed to see as I demo them on a nice grass range. I'm excited to finally find a easy hitting, consistent, lovely looking set of irons going forward. I traded in my G700 irons for these.Other than the distance that I was getting from the G700 irons, to me, the G700's were as tasteless and boring as eating a mixture of Corn Flakes and water.

Great job, nice review. Tried the i200s last year. Loved the looks, felt nice, but a bit too high spin for me. The i200s also seemed to spin a bit higher (than normal) for you in your review last year as compared to their lofts, but they were still very good numbers for you. The spin numbers for the i210s look to be just a little bit lower, although still very good. These might be worth a hit when they are available at the shops to see how they go with my swing.

Well done reviews on both this and the i500 your affection for Ping shows through and shows you can still do fair reviews and be a Titleist staffer. The PING i series is hands-down my favorite series of clubs over the last few years. I play a set of 2014 i e1 Irons and I am having a really hard time parting with them, even though the i210s have improved on them in every way.
I am not quite ready for the precision striking required of the PING Blueprints (even though I want them badly, im just not there yet), but you get a lot of the same "feels" off of the i series.

Hey Mark I have just recently started playing again after a 5+ year break, I used to play a decent amount when I was younger ( teenager ) at the time and was a bogey, par, bogey, par type of player. I have just started playing again in the last 6 weeks or so and am starting to get back to the moderate form I used to have. I’m a little older now and am planning on taking it much more serious than I used to. The clubs I currently have are a set of Bob Toski Catalyst irons that I got from my dad that were probably purchased around 2000? They’re in decent shape but I’ve never been a big of a fan of these clubs. I still have a long way to go but my striking consistency etc.. is definitely improving and I am looking for a set of good irons to get to work into and build on. I have no idea what type of clubs the Toskis I’m using would be categorized as but I’m thinking that maybe a set of I210s would be a good set to work into and build upon? I have solid swing speeds and decent power I just need to work on form and consistency and then I’ll be ready to work on shot shaping, strategy etc.. Just wondering if you had any thought on whether the jump between the iron sets was reasonable? Thank you and great vid as always 🤙🏽

Fine looking iron. If I didn't already play the i200, I'd be very interested in checking these out. (Who am I kidding? I'm still going to give them a go!) Great review!

dufferjuice I agree. I game the i200 and won’t be upgrading to this version for small improvements. I really like the looks for sure.

Doesn't quite seem worth it to upgrade from my i200s to these. However, they'd be right at the top of my list if I didn't already have the i200s. Now would be a great time for people to get fitted for and get what's left of the i200s at a good discount from Ping. I can imagine most golfers wont notice a difference between the two.

I play ping anser 2010/2011. Just wondering how much better are the i210 vs old ping anser?? I love my irons have lots of success, just wondering has there been significant gains in the newer irons or is it just hype? I have a very hard time believing that every single year companies make something better than the yr previous.
Would love you to indoor data comparison i210 vs older ping anser irons.
    Your thoughts between the two.?
    Thank you.

I really like these i210 irons. Keep in mind the i200 is the most popular iron on the LPGA tour.
What I want to know is do they go farther, higher or straighter than my G20 irons with about the same lofts?

How long do you hit with your 6 iron? The gap between 5 and 7 seems too tight.
Thanks for the best review anyway.

Tried the i200 last year. Lovely clubs and do exactly what they say on the tin. Just couldn’t justify price at that time.

Seem like a good rival for the srixon z765. Are we getting the Forged Glide review any time soon, they look absolutely mince. Are you allowed to review the TS3 anytime soon, because it isn't coming out until September right?
