    Just bought a set, and couldn’t be happier! Fantastic feel and very, very consistent. One thing I didn’t hear you comment on was forgiveness (probably because you center it all the time). For us with a little more erratic swing, these are very forgiving. Last, but not least...they are gorgeous! Nice review, Michael!

    Really like the fact you show all views of the club especially all range down at the ball. Watched dozens of other vids and no one else has done that. Cheers

    Love your product reviews especially clubs that don't necessarily suit your eye because you don't let your personal feelings get in the way. If something performs well, you say so. If not, well fair enough then. Doing some research on a new set of irons and I like Ping so I might check these out. Thank you for the review.

    Nice review as usual Mike, BUT the finish is Hydrapearl not Hyperpearl as you kept saying. Keep up the good work

    Hi Michael, thank you for your review. I'm typically a blade/forged cavity guy but I'm interested in these, particularly due to the higher bounce/retro loft characteristics. Anything prohibitive when you try to flatten one out or take spin off into the breeze?

    Do the clubs offer enough forgiveness for a mid-thigh handicap? I loved the feel of the i200's.

    Would the i210 in the Power Spec set up be comparable to the i525, while maybe being even smoother feeling?

    Hi Michael
    After being fitted with these i210 irons.
    How accurate would these lofts be, they are mass produced.
    How good is Ping's quality control..?
    For example the 7 iron may be 32 degrees and 8 iron could me 34 degrees. Is each head measured for loft before it leaves the factory..?
    A true fitting would have each iron head measured for its loft. 4 degrees apart!
    Most 7 irons nowadays are really true 6 irons in loft.
    Thanks
    David

      I've personally been around the ping factory and its impressive, clubs when being built can't progress down the the production line unless the computer has measured lofts and lies etc and are 100% perfect.

    Michael, i'm quite interested in this set. Love the look of them. I've played the i15s in the past and liked them. Currently playing a set of Bridgestone J15 CBs - forged irons. One thing i'm worried about is the elastomer. I don't want trampoline effects on my irons. I was quite happy with the feel of the i15s, although they weren't forged. I'm a little concerned that the elastomer might make the club do some weird things like flyers, going too far with not enough spin in general. But I think these might be just a little more forgiving than my J15s, which have great consistency provided you strike it properly. What is your take on the consistency of the 210s and the elastomer?

    Hey Mike, how would you compare these irons to pxg gen 1 0311? Asking for friend

    Hi Mike I play Mizuno MP25 how would you compare the i210 with them? Like the idea of the power spec as I love a better players iron but would love the lower lofts it offers.

      i210 more forgiving but not forged, probably feel a little harder/solid on impact

    Great review Mike. How would you compare the i210’s to the Mizuno JPX 900 Forged irons in terms of feel and forgiveness? I’ve had the JPX since March 2017 and love them, curious to see what your take is. Thanks

      Stephen DiBari I’m playing the JPX 900 forged also, so I’m REALLY intrigued by these irons. I can’t wait to hit them outside just to see how hot they are, and how high they go!

      sting5112002 love the JPX, can’t see myself changing irons so soon. More curious than anything. hopefully Mike will give his feedback on them.

      Bradley Buckmister great to hear about the i210’s being forgiving and soft feeling. Although I would love too, I just can’t drop another $800-1000 for 5-PW on them especially after I spent that much only nearly 1 1/2 years ago on the JPX 900 forged.

      Bradley Buckmister I was also custom fit for my JPX 900 forged. Got the 5-PW in Nippon modus 3 stiff flex, 1/4 in. Short, 1 deg. Flat. Couldn’t be anymore happier. Best irons I’ve owned, although I’m sure the i210’s would be awesome

    Great vid Mike. I was wondering, Im playing 5-U in ping i200 standard spec and was thinking about the i500 4 iron in retro spec. Im a lower spin player. Do u think the height would be enough for reasonable stopping power. I hit my 5 iron 192 in air with 4100 spin, 29 yds peak height, 39 degree decent angle. Thanks!

    I hate how everyone said they look exactly the same when the 210 is a far better looking club

    Mike, were you using the standard S300 DG shaft, assume you would favour i210 over i500, I see Tyrrell Hatton has gone i500 4 iron this week in his otherwise i210 set. Also how would the Glide wedges fit with i210

    • @MichaelNewtonGolf
      @MichaelNewtonGolf  6 лет назад

      Hi Simon, I was fitted at PING with AWT 2.0 in X Flex so they now sent me product in this spec for me to review. Yes, i think the i500 in a iron long is great option as it's strong so good option off the tee. It's also high flying so maybe pretty good hitting into a green albeit the spin a slightly low. Glide wedges would fit perfectly into i210's as the grooves on the i210 PW & UW are same as the Glide grooves so very similar performance.

      Thanks Mike. What's the differences/benefits between the i210 UW and the Glide 50 degree ?

    • @MichaelNewtonGolf
      @MichaelNewtonGolf  6 лет назад

      the glide has more compact head, slightly different leading edge to hosel relationship, provides a lower launch with higher spin due to cg placement. The sole is also more versatile to various lies
