    Late reply cos I just bought them, im a pingist I admit, but best irons I've ever owned, had the srixon 985s (newer forged club) they are great, but for me, as also an average golfer, the ping i210s are amazing. Cheers Vinny.

    I hit these last week and will do some more testing, but I concur. These I210 irons are the best feeling, best performing irons I have ever hit. Thanks for another great review, keeping it real.

    Great review Andy 👍 Always felt like the i200 series is that perfect inbetween giving golfers a bit of help but still maintaining good spin rates and consistency.

    Would you be tempted to add the i500 3 and/or 4 iron to a set of i210's ?

  • @raginasianinvasion
    @raginasianinvasion 6 лет назад

    Phenomenal review again Mate! Absolutely perfect! I got fitted into S300 DG’s which is surprisingly their stock shaft offering in the i210’s. Tried multiple shaft offerings and these ended out being the best fit for me especially in regards to dispersion and distance consistency. Preordered and hoping for a quick delivery! Another win from PING! Keep up the great work!

    Never been a Ping person, don't need a new set of clubs, but these are the first Ping clubs that I would honestly try and would likely buy. I can actually see maybe some of their Pros using these.
    I see you are rocking that DJ mega strong face to the sky I like to draw my irons face. Great video.

    Andy-great vid as always. I don't think Ping are advertising the I210 as a forged club head, rather a cast head with a forged face. I could give a RA. Although the I200 was a great club I do not see many of my golfing pals playing Ping, and the I210 will probably go the same route. Somehow along the way Ping got the perception of being more of a "Players" club and therefore not as forgiving as TM or Callaway, that is my feeling anyway. I demoed both the Iblade and I200 a year ago and I could have easily played both, beautiful, but I was happy with my present set and the Ping's were pricey. Is it me or do these irons lack a WOW factor? Good fun, cheers.

    • @SuperMIKEFREE
      @SuperMIKEFREE 6 лет назад +1

      You might regret it. The G25 is a Fantastic club. You need to play a few rounds to test clubs properly, hitting balls on the range or in the shop tells you very little. Ask if you can try them or hire them for a week, then you can make an honest decision.

    Tried these yesterday at foregolf Chester also tried the callaway x forged loved the both of them, currently got the callaway Xr steelheads dropped down to 12.5 from 16 I was finding some big flyers a lot of shots with the xr clubs looking for a more consistent distance with my irons still not finding the middle every shot average golfer 😝, actually found I was more consistent with the x forged than the i210 just a bit worried they might be a little too good for my current level of golf the i210 still had good results any advice Andy ?

      You’ll be fine with either or. HC levels should never apply to irons, if you can hit them, get them. True game improvement irons are blades imo but players cavity backs are another good option. Don’t buy into the massive shovels, they won’t make you any better.

    • @davidgeorge5344

      popeye Still expensive in my opinion but might have a swish with them anyway.

    • @popeye5989
      @popeye5989 6 лет назад

      Yep. You do have the option of adding a 3i and/or utility iron but costs about 150 each. Expensive but tempting!

    • @davidgeorge5344

      popeye On reflection, for the amount and quality of the golf I am playing, I will stick with my 588TTs.

      The i200 are going for the £600 range I think and tbh not convinced that there will be they much difference in quality.

  • @johnnypenso9574
    @johnnypenso9574 6 лет назад

    Wow, good spin on this new Ping iron as well. I expect you'll be looking at doing some extensive testing with these on the course...like maybe a 2 or 3 year test...lol. If I'm honest though, I hate it when people design things that are subject to environments with lots of potential for dirt and debris accumulation, with those little slots and joints that are sure to accumulate dirt and debris. If the polymer insert isn't removable or adjustable in some way it shouldn't look as if it is and they should have designed it so there is no slot or groove for dirt and debris to get stuck in.
    In the big picture though it sounds like a great club!!

    So much offset though, they look like hook machines. Want to like these, but that offset ruins it for me.

    • @gregburgin1210
      @gregburgin1210 5 лет назад +1

      The offset of a Titleist AP2 5 iron is .14 inch. The offset on the i210 5 iron is .15 inch. You cant even see the difference. I wouldn't call either a "hook machine". If they were you wouldn't have lots of tour pros playing AP2's.

    • @majorsmythe1
      @majorsmythe1 5 лет назад

      @@gregburgin1210 Well, Titleist must hide it better because every time I compare the PINGS look much more offset. However, with the numbers you state they are almost the same . Want to get the PING, but also must note the PING is cast and Titleist is forged. Decisions, decisions !!!

      @@CraigalFun Interesting- Think I'm going to get them.!!!. If they are soft, I will do it, Bend them flat. Thing is with PING, they may not look as good as a Mizuno blade, but Ive had some of my best scores with old PINGS, and the scorecard could care less how an iron looks.
