eye emoji: I would prefer the i500s. I have used both clubs and they feel amazing, but I like the i500 a little bit more because they fit my play style. Also, great video! Keep up the amazing work! :)
Great video as always Rick, in my opinion the best golf RUclipsr out there due to the fact that I can see in your videos that you have taken your time and care in making them for our benefit and our entertainment as viewers. You stretch the extra mile.
Years later, but im putting together my first set in maybe 10 years! This set is on the way Edit: Took a little while for them to come in, but they finally came in a few weeks ago. I had the free time the past week to really get into the i210s and I absolutely love them. I used to game the i3s in Highschool and these feel somewhat familiar on set up, but like 30x more attractive.
Rick talked me into the G30’s a few years ago. They were a high and long hitting ball. However the offset and bulky head were very off putting and I just couldn’t score with them. I went back to an old set of ping i3 blades, I immediately started scoring again however they lacked the distance and ball flight of the g30. The feel was ok, you were punished severely on miss hits. I purchased the i210’s with the Nippon tour 105 x stiff in the power spec and wow what a set! The ball flight is a high penetrating shot with the perfect amount of back spin, the feel and sound haunted my sleep last night it was so good. I was afraid that the power spec would produce a lower flight with lower spins rates but was pleasantly surprised. I went to the local fitter, they did not have the power spec, I knew the 105’s were a mid to high kick and in the flex they would be a little straighter for me. The combo is unbelievable. They are longer and more forgiving than my g30’s and way better looking and feeling than my old blades This is definitely my forever set. Keep up the great videos Rick.
I was almost committed to a new set of P-790’s, but Ping has made things interesting. You bring up some interesting points, at the store, all you hit is a 7 iron when trying out new clubs, but what is the yardage gap between the rest of the clubs? Also, how do you determine what is more important, feel, distance, workability? Why do they make it so hard to put a new set of irons in the bag?
I tested the i200 and liked the feel of them last year. I really like the look of the i210! I'm potentially in the market for new irons soon, these will be on the list.
I just love the i200-210 series. The look is so fine it's ridiculous. All the way back to my old i3s I've long retired for something with a little more help I've loved the i series look and this is better than ever.
Rick great review I play the i200 irons the i210 just seem very similar and would take a lot for me to change from i200. I do like the look of the i500 😃
Have to say your review of the ping i210 they sound like a review of the old i25 irons and also look very similar. Would love to see a comparison of the two irons
Rick, has there ever been a forgiving iron with little to no offset? I'm getting back into golf and your channel is, so far, my favorite of the many channels out there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Eddie.
Thanks Rick. Good review. I just picked up my set and I have not even played them yet. I probably bought them for different reasons than most but lets hope they live up their billings. Cheers!
Best PING iron I’ve hit. Liked the look of S55 but not the hard feel. The i210’s just kicked the Razr x muscle backs out of the bag. These really feel good and offer a bit of forgiveness!
The i200s are mint. Most used club on the LPGA. When i got new irons a couple months back it come down to the i200s and wilson staff c300 forged and the wilsons won out, just hahaha
i210's look amazing! Got to try the i500's in my store today; definitely can feel the stronger loft and the softness of the forged. Cannot wait to try the i210's!!
Just hit these, I agree that they are a little softer in feel than the i200s. I'm curious to see if the new Pearl 2.0 finish will resist scratching a little better.
Love my i200 irons. The i210 looks great, but if it came down to preordering these or getting a set of i200s with the price drop, I don't think there's enough of a leap forward to justify the i210s higher cost. Highly recommend testing out some i200s in the short time that they'll still be available.
Definitely think ping are right to keep bringing out the sets it helps high handicapped players to experiment with their irons 👍🏻 different feels with every set ⛳️ love these videos rick class act bud have a great time at he open following you on insta 👌🏻❤️
Wow both cost a fortune. Both look amazing (probably like the i500 best). It sounds like both have amazing feel. Definitely gonna have to give them a hit. Excellent video Rick you've really got this spot on!
I wanted the i500s because they look sooo good. And although they also felt amazing to me, I was having way too hard of a time getting a consistent distance in the simulator. Gonna go try out the i210s soon and hopefully they will be the ones for me!
Great Vid as always Rick! One thing I will say, your the first reviewer I have seen in quite a few others, who is getting proper gaping between Wedge and 7 iron. The other reviewers are seeing 40 yd gap from PW to 7I which imo is a bit of a big gap, not sure how to take why your gaping is perfect and others are seeing this Wide gaping. Before someone says it, the other testers were (pro's) also :)
Still think i500 is a little bit better, side thought; Ping irons are slowly beginning to resemble Taylormade/PXG player irons with the i500 having a huge reseblince to their irons and the i210 having it's in "speed foam". Regardless I still think that both irons are great.
The i200, iBlade and even the iE1 had elastomer inserts as well, it sounds like it is just bigger and softer in the i210. I do love my i200 though:). The i500 does look really nice.
Looks like an evolutionary change. Probably an indication that the previous version was working well, so just some minor improvements and not screw up a good thing.
if you had the g400's in soft regular.... but hit the ball squarely everytime... would you suggest the I210 or i500? i will be using the added specs in them as I do in the G400's. Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy your OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP this wkend.... Can't wait to watch...
I feel that I210 is a well chosen name that indicates an incremental advancement of the popular I200. Calling it an I300 would imply something more different. Between the I210 and I500 I would prefer the former. Your test of the I500 showed a huge gap between the pitching wedge and 7 iron - more than just a 9 and 8 iron could bridge. So, if you want a more balanced set of irons, it has to be the I210 - as long as you have the requisite skill.
i500 would be my preference for the clean lines and classic look. My issue with the i210 is the way the polymer insert creates a joint or groove if you prefer that can accumulate dirt and debris. That would annoy me to no end having to dig crap out of their after every round.

Rick Shiels Golf yesss
I500s all day
Rick Shiels Golf i500
I think i would prefer the i210's. I like the more traditional lofts as well as more spin. I am skeptical of the hollow head/goo filled head lifetime.

The quality of these videos keep getting better!!
Thank you for incorporating *outdoor* testing in your club reviews. Your club reviews are comprehensive.
I've watched a number of reviews you've done on irons and this is one of your best reviews on a set of irons.
Years later, but im putting together my first set in maybe 10 years! This set is on the way

Same. Ordered them today. Pumped :)
@@marclarrea7330 thats awesome! I have to wait maybe another week for them to ship out, but my Heppler putter came in today and I love it lol
me too, ordered yesterday! upgrading from the i15s
You’re gonna love them. Btw Lee Westwood plays with this irons too ;)
I just picked up these today.... upgraded from my 20 year old i3+ irons, can't wait to get out on the course with these.
looks like Ping is really stepping up their game in the iron category. I am going to give these and the i500 a try!
Just got fitted a couple weeks ago. Never thought I would pick PING. I cannot wait to get the call that they’re ready to pick up. Great review!

Hit the i210 and 500 Saturday, no comparison in feel the 210 was like butter. Will be ordering those soon.
I remember when you had under 10k subs. It's amazing how fast your channel has grown. Keep up the great content.
They’re in my bag and will not be leaving anytime soon.
I tested the i200 and liked the feel of them last year. I really like the look of the i210! I'm potentially in the market for new irons soon, these will be on the list.

Rick great review I play the i200 irons the i210 just seem very similar and would take a lot for me to change from i200. I do like the look of the i500 😃
You are the Best in the Biz Rick!
I have the i200, but cant stop looking at the i500's!!!
Definitely ticking my boxes too!
Have to say your review of the ping i210 they sound like a review of the old i25 irons and also look very similar. Would love to see a comparison of the two irons

Went to a golf shop to get fitted for mp20 mmc and test a couple others. Was very surprised how well these hit.
They arrive tomorrow... Looking forward to confirm this review
Confirmed?
absolutely... I fell in love in one day... but not only me, also Hovland, Westwood, Cink, Hatton, and a bunch of LPGA and LET ladies
I210's fabulous Irons 👍. Very thorough review. Love ping for years especially ping eye irons ⛳
Rick swing is looking great. Such an inspiration to us all.
Thanks Rick. Good review. I just picked up my set and I have not even played them yet. I probably bought them for different reasons than most but lets hope they live up their billings. Cheers!
Rick the data you offer is so thorough. Thank you. I personally like i210.
Best PING iron I’ve hit. Liked the look of S55 but not the hard feel. The i210’s just kicked the Razr x muscle backs out of the bag. These really feel good and offer a bit of forgiveness!
Love the video and the new irons from ping these past 2 years are beautiful.
I just ordered a set of these today. Good price point and they felt great when I was getting fitted for them.
How are those irons playing?
Hi Rick I've tried them both i liked the i500 but the i210 are buttery soft loved them.......
Enjoying your videos! Has helped my game and I know what I’m looking for when I’m to upgrade my clubs!
The i200s are mint. Most used club on the LPGA. When i got new irons a couple months back it come down to the i200s and wilson staff c300 forged and the wilsons won out, just hahaha
You positively raved about the feel of the i500. How would you compare that model with the i210?
i210's look amazing! Got to try the i500's in my store today; definitely can feel the stronger loft and the softness of the forged. Cannot wait to try the i210's!!
Did u end up buying ?
Just hit these, I agree that they are a little softer in feel than the i200s. I'm curious to see if the new Pearl 2.0 finish will resist scratching a little better.
Good-looking irons. I'll have to check them out when they hit the stores. Thanks for the review, Rick.
6 handicap. Wanted to get the I200 then u did the I500 review. Now the I210s. Think I like the distance of I500 over I210.
Great job. Love your reviews. I learn so much. Thank you. Keep up the great work.
👁 210...Ping on a roll right now, producing some great looking irons and imo best driver of 2018 (G400 Max)...
Been looking for a change in my irons.. and these might be the set I'm looking for... Great review
Just tried them after my last comment. Wow they are gorgeous! Now I know I can game them 👍👍
I like the look and idea of the i210 more
great review again Rick, i prefer the look of i210 absolutely beautiful looking irons from ping one of my favourite manufacturer
Stewart Cink plays with the Ping i210's. I plan to demo a set.
Love my i200 irons. The i210 looks great, but if it came down to preordering these or getting a set of i200s with the price drop, I don't think there's enough of a leap forward to justify the i210s higher cost. Highly recommend testing out some i200s in the short time that they'll still be available.
Love your videos Rick! These are selling for $875 in the US!
I210 are smooth looking!
I210s definitely!
Ping irons are always so clean and nice looking
Good to see Ping step up their game...
Excellent video Rick you've really got this spot on!
the i210 4-p is $875
Another good review Rick
Only club review worthwhile on youtube! Thanks for adding the gapping concern! I think u will give these a try after seeing your review ^_^
Need to try these
Great video Rick!
I would have to go with the i500. Always trying to squeeze a little for distance. Also like the forgiveness.
Rick you keep improving every video⛳️
Ping are making some lovely looking clubs atm, very impressive
I wanted the i500s because they look sooo good. And although they also felt amazing to me, I was having way too hard of a time getting a consistent distance in the simulator. Gonna go try out the i210s soon and hopefully they will be the ones for me!
another great review, Rick. thanks!!
Is it possible to blend the different lofts in a set to get some more optimal gapping between the different irons?
Great review Rick.
Great review as always
Great looking irons, can’t wait to give them a try.
These are gorgeous definitely prefer the look of them over the i500.
Shot 51 points and got cut 19. Great content rick
Should do a video on just avoiding mistakes and bad decision making and just general course managememy for those tryingto crack 75 or even par
Great Vid as always Rick!

Awesome review as always........
hi Rick great review, is their any advantage to having clubs that are to big or clubs that are to small
I prefer the i500 because I like the look of them and your videos are amazing keep them up
Great video can you do a review between the standard , power and retro spec?
i500! they're just so clean, so shiny!
Tested these a couple months ago when they had only just been released on tour; only needed a few hits to order a full set in my specs...
You still using them ?
Class act Rick! Love your videos
I liked the i200, but I think I'm leaning i500, BUT I haven't hit either yet so time will tell!
Love the reviews. Appreciate your candor. I'd lean toward the standard i210's. Although, I agree, the name seems silly. Keep it up Rick!
great review Rick!
Need those cobra forged tec blacks reviewed
i500!! Both smart tho and loving the pro tracer 👌
Still think i500 is a little bit better, side thought; Ping irons are slowly beginning to resemble Taylormade/PXG player irons with the i500 having a huge reseblince to their irons and the i210 having it's in "speed foam". Regardless I still think that both irons are great.

Hi Rick, can you do the top 10 fairway woods of 2018 as well? Really loved the top 10 irons of 2018 vid by the way.
Nice vid probably gonna pick a set up
Looks like an evolutionary change. Probably an indication that the previous version was working well, so just some minor improvements and not screw up a good thing.
Nice looking club thanks for the review Rick
i would go the i500's for sure
Finally new Ping clubs 😍 I still have Ping i15s 🙃
Dylan Bowling me 2 😅
Finally some more neutral lofted irons! Much more of a fan of these neutral lofts than the silly lofts of the rogue x, m4, and i500!
Piano Man god forbid golf companies make clubs for every skill level right? Sheeesh...
@@jasonprice9823 They 25% make them for skill levels and 75% just to say look how much farther our clubs hit the ball. Its ridiculous.
RW Jack if people are benefitting from it, who cares? Companies giving people choices now is great.
Another good review.
if you had the g400's in soft regular.... but hit the ball squarely everytime... would you suggest the I210 or i500? i will be using the added specs in them as I do in the G400's. Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy your OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP this wkend.... Can't wait to watch...
I210 look fantastic.
Great review thanks!
i210’s for the win!
Both great looking irons. Top 2 irons I'm going to look at when getting fitted. Hopefully in a few months🤞
Rick, Does the finish scratch super easy like the predecessors?
It’s hard to say i210?
They are called I 210 because they come after the i200 and are only a subtle change.
Ping are pretty honest about that.
i500. Those are gorgeous.
