    • How To Wash REALLY Big...
    Washing large trucks and SUVs can be time consuming and a hassle. Using the brand new Chemical Guys Wash Mop not only makes detailing big vehicles easier but also safer. Using the extendable pole to reach across flat panels that otherwise would require leaning on the vehicle while using a traditional wash mitt.
    In this video Jeremy demonstrates how to clean this black GMC Denali. Detailing black vehicles takes extra precaution due to the fact that scratches and swirls are more noticeable. Foaming down any vehicle adds gloss and shine while giving plenty of lubrication to prevent installing any scratches or swirls to the paintwork. Hybrid V7 Optical Select High Suds Car Wash Soap offers rich thick suds to enhance shine and also tons of lubrication.
    Once the Denali was properly washed and dried Jeremy took the paint work to the next level by applying Black Wax which he applied by machine for an extra thin coat. Coating the entire vehicle in Black Wax gave this black Denali more shine and depth making it stand out from the rest.

    Pro tip for short folks like myself. Do the 3 bucket wash. One for rinse, one for clean, one to turn upside down and stand on when using the pole brush.

    I'm a detailer at a Buick + GMC dealership. These trucks are a pain in the ass to clean. 1.) they're big 2.) they're expensive so you really don't want to mess one up. 3.) I only use wax-as-you-dry spray on wax because, otherwise it would take way too long (and it works pretty good)

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  6 лет назад

      Hey Porter, trucks are extremely daunting and exhausting to detail. Mobile detailers have the luxury of turning down jobs, and this would be one of them for me unless you're working in a team. We feel your pain Porter, we've had a few trucks to work on and they took a considerable amount of time to get back to pristine condition. If I had to create a hierarchy, trucks would be at the bottom of it. Stay tuned for today's video, and the three new videos launching next week.

    Thanks for the vid. I just bought a black 2017 XC90 which is almost as big as that truck, and just as high. I'm quite a bit older than the "kid" in the video and have already pinched a nerve in my back trying to clean this monster. Have bought a lot of ChemGuys products to help me out but have never seen that long brush before. I'm about 6'4" but still need to get a little step-stool to reach the roof of the car (properly). Maybe I'll consider the brush if it's available here in Europe.

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  7 лет назад

      You're most welcome, and thank you for supporting our channel. Judging by the way you describe the truck, it must be extremely challenging. I've never owned a big truck before, I imagine how difficult that can be to wash the roof, and the hood. We're always coming out with nifty, and convenient tools to make detailing easier, it's the worst when you can't reach something, it's frustrating and causes more fatigue. Having an extendable Chenille Microfiber Car Wash Mop makes life a hell of a lot more convenient. You should definitely look into it.

      I own a detail shop and agree using a clay bar is definitely a must before putting any kind of machine on paint lol bet u pull that black truck in the true light (sunlight) and u will see the damage done,,,I clay even when doing a hand wax

Which is annoying

      careful though leaf blowers dont have any filter, so if theres any dust in the air its blowing right on your paint at 100mph

      Hey Matt! Wax can be applied as often as desired or as little as once every three months to maintain gloss and durability.

    • @joet.2361

      Robert Stiner Probably some all purpose cleaner and a microfiber for agitation then a good rinse down then dry then some rubber protection.

    • @PedroMartinez-hw6uy
      @PedroMartinez-hw6uy 5 лет назад

      A good soap is all you need with a medium-fine brush. The biggest step is to use a rubber sealer as I only know of two bed liners that aren't rubberized

    Help needed, I got a 2016 Sierra Denali 2500HD and I want to wash it with the foam canon and don’t have to dry it after I rinse with the pressure washer. What products you suggest for the truck and wheels?

    Hey guys, I just bought a new 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty Lariat. I have used Chemical Guys products and will continue to use them. My question is, what is the best PSI setting to wash a car/truck? Are there any recommendations on which brand of pressure washer is the best for washing a vehicle? I am in the market to buy a pressure washer (possibly a Ryobi 2,900 PSI) and I would greatly appreciate your input. Thank you!

    I'm guessing you guys use a water filtration system so you don't get soap residue or spots ?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  5 лет назад +1

      Hello! Yes,we use a deionizing water filtration system to prevent hard water spots.

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  5 лет назад

      Hey!
      It would take a pro at least a couple of hours! All depends on the specific job and condition of the paint!

    Wouldn't blow drying the car make the water spots more visible Bc you are letting the water stay in the car for a long period of time?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  7 лет назад

      Hey Mikey, how are you? Actually its not an issue for a few reasons. Jeremy uses Afterwash which is a drying agent that helps the water bead off the surface, and speeds up the drying process. Secondly the truck is being dried indoors, drying a vehicle outside will obviously cause the water to evaporate quickly. The last thing to take into account is the fact that we used deionized water, which eliminates the minerals that cause the staining in the first place. The key is to dry your cars indoors, use deionized water, and dry almost immediately. Stay tuned, more great videos on the way.

    Why start at the rims? The dirt from the body is going to run down back onto them, i save it for last on my truck

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  6 лет назад

      Hi Marc, it's because the wheels are the dirtiest place to start from, break dust is corrosive and you don't want to get that on the paint. Most people don't think about it, they just see dirty wheels.

    • @marcfurtado5250
      @marcfurtado5250 6 лет назад
