Great tutorial. One thing I would add to the geometry: a very, very slight edge bevel (half a mm or less) for the plinth. Its very fast to do this and it makes the big shape look more realistic, by removing the unnaturally sharp edges that could never occur in the real world.
@@ArchiHacks Its a thing a lot of people tend to "not do" even after sculpting the most intricate stuff, but can add a lot of realism to it.. I dont know how hard it is to add that in Rhino though.
thats amazing of you making models and pugins which help us make our work go faster than we expected , u promised to provide random move, rotate and random transform plugins but u ain't , I kindly request to provide us the plugins which would make our work faster
I don't usually comment on youtube videos, however this is an amazing tutorial!! Keep up the good work!! Also Just purchase pretty much all the packs you offer and I have to say that they are worth every cent!!!
I really enjoyed this video. I'm struggling to color the trees white. They come with a color applied to them that I cannot figure out how to override. Do you happen to know the fix?
@@ArchiHacks Many thanks! I had tried changing it via the asset editor, but by applying the new color by layer. For some reason that didn't work. I just tried again applying by selection and it worked, so I'm feeling a bit foolish. Thank you so much for your quick response!
You can go in the Material Tab in Rhino, select all the materials ( Shift + Click), right click and delete all materials. After that, insert materials in the vray asset editor
Really great tutorial, thank you! And one question is the plugin, random transform, if I'm not mistaken. I wonder where I can find it? Thank you again for your nice video
I'm really not an expert in this field, and it depends on the work and software your office uses. My two cents would be to look into Nvidia's Quadro graphics card and 32GB RAM to run most CAD programs optimally. Best of luck with the move!
Hi, thank you for your video, it is really clear and well done. Just a little question for you. What kind of primary and secondary gi do you use and why?
I mean, in the Global Illumination settings in vray you can choose the engine for the primary and secondary bounces (light cache, brute force, irradiance map)
Hi Archihacks. Im having a little bit of problem while doing the MappingWidget. After I enter the command, it doesnt shows the purple box or square thingy, Is it smth wrong with my settings?
Did you make sure to create the mapping coordinates right before that step? You can also try SelLast to select the widget right after clicking Show Widget
Archi Hacks If you are representing physical model, you have a light source obviously. Both the building and the underlay have soft shadows. What about the people and the trees?
You should be able to access it by clicking on the icon in the VFB window! In the version shown in the video, the button was at the bottom right corner
In my current Vray they are in a different place now but I found them ). Thanks for coming back to me and for the tutorial. It's going to be very useful for my uni projects.
Great Video, love the model Render series, but i cant seem to get nearly the same results, my colors look very off compaired to your, with a almost blue tint, and not as warm. Did you use any of the correction option in VFB? Red some comments to find answers, is the result really that different from version to version or Hardware to hardware? Does seem really odd
Hey maybe you can help out: 1. If I place a rectangular light I can't see it (not borders to click on etc.). I can get it with sellight 2. Can you show your lighting/sun etc settings? My scene looks shitty I'm confused
Make sure your Display Property has the “lights” box checked. By default, wireframe and modeling view should display lights. All the settings were captured in the video so see if you skipped any step!
One last thing we can try is to ensure that your rhino and vray are up to date. If that doesn't work, I'll be happy to take a look over a screen share. Keep me posted!
I got stuck at a detail, the wooden platform in the beggining has the lateral fiber vertical, in the final render it's as supposed to be (horizontal) how did u fix that?
I found that different versions of V-Ray and hardware setup yields different result sometimes. You can adjust the brightness of the scene using camera exposure on Asset Editor or exposure in global settings on VFB!

That's a really good suggestion! We've already prepared the one coming up, but we'll keep that in mind for another Rhino tutorial : )

I really enjoyed this video. I'm struggling to color the trees white. They come with a color applied to them that I cannot figure out how to override. Do you happen to know the fix?
You have to change their colors in the asset editor in V Ray!
Or you can try exploding the blocks, and color the meshes

my rendering doesnt show me the materials that I can see instead in the rhino visualization
how come the people and trees dont have shadows?
this is awesome! thank you! Any tutorials on how to render glass in Rhino / V-RAY??? :)
Yup here it is: ruclips.net/video/P1JAS8DiRYo/видео.html
Hi! What is the material for the model?
hey i was working just fine with your tutorial but suddenly , sketchup textures started appearing in the final model , how do i get rid of them ?
That sounds strange 🤔 perhaps try exploding blocks and apply materials from rhino again

hey, I love the video, only question is how you get the 3d scale to appear when you select objects/ the scaling box for the wood texture

thank you very much indeed
Hello Bennett amazing video! I hace just one question the house has no special treatment but the lighting?
Yup that's about all!
Hey AH, loved the vid and the 3D People and Trees and i was just wondering, Is it compatible if I work with 3dMax and Vray?
We've included a obj files for each pack, so they should work just fine in 3ds max! Proxies may not be compatible though
@@ArchiHacks thank you AH, i'll be acquiring those as soon as i can. Been loving the content, amazing work
hello when i apple the leather its so massive i have no idea how to make it smaller
