Yea you don't need expensive lights to get a good looking setup! Utilize lights in your home as practicals and even daylight coming through your windows as your key light. Even though I have a really good lighting setup, I still use natural light from my window a lot. @@derekyates147 i bought a very generic soft box studio that includes the stand, soft box and light bulb, but the light bulb is very bad, so I bought another one separately, it doesn’t have a brand, so i was trying my luck.
Main light: 85w led 3000k - 6500k
Compatible base: E27
CRI: 90+
With remote control to adjust colour temperature and brightness.
Fill light: Ulanzi VL49
@derekyates147 I think he bought the mountdog kit. It comes with a softbox, conroller, and a light stand for just $50. It's a shame they don't deliver to my country😢
@@mikami9921i din't raccomend that kind of ultra cheap lights, they'll break like crazy, and they are really low power and sometimes they are so bad made that flickers or arrives broken yet. so instead, go for medium/large led panels 40-30w, better if rgb, and/or a godox 60w that will cost like 100 bucks and it will last literally forever

Great video! A lot of comments asking about the people light, you can honestly use any RGB panel light or smart bulb. The important one is the key light which also doesn't need to be expensive, just big and diffused (id avoid ring lights)

You'd be surprised how much lighting can make a difference more than a camera. You can take a $100,000 cinema camera with poor lighting and the video would look like it was filmed on a Webcam. That's why as photographers and videographers, we put so much effort into lighting.

I use a softbox but have an issue with hard light on my face and dark under my chin. I don’t know how to get a soft, mellow look on my Samsung s23 camera. Do you know how far I should place my light from my face?
