As discussed in the last part of this video, lighting changed the way I view the world. Has it for you? Do you stop and snap a quick iPhone shot when the light is falling nice on a particular object on the street? Let me know!🙌🏼
Helpful instruction, thank you! I was wondering what was your white balance on the camera? It seems like the image is very orange overall. Was the key light the only light that was set to daylight and everything else was around 3,200k?
Omg this is the video I've been looking for. Someone who explains the practical steps to lighting and provides visual imagery. I've watched tons and tons of videos and everyone says 45 degrees but relative to your set-up 45 might not work and no one has been able to explain an alternative except for you. Thank you so much and keep at it.
So awesome. I love how you turn off all the sources and then bring them back up one by one. Great way to show it all happening, especially with the accompanying floor plan imagery. Please keep these going. I'm sure your subscribers will continue to grow. excellent content.
As I learn more about lighting, it interests me greatly, especially since color is a part of that, really adding to how a context/mood can be set with color and light intensity. Great video.
This video is soooo good! I love how you SHOW Frank moving the light. It lets you know "where" to place your key light, to get the desired look you're after... vs just "roughly 45 degrees." LOL Great Content. 👍
nice one sjoerd. What about a video where you have a space where you have to work with existing window light and you ad your own light to it without blocking the natural light out. Would you prefer to use the daylight as a rim light or as a key and use your artificial light as a rim?

@@SjoerdWess thank you! I actually got a 90cm all-in-one softbox lighting kit from Amazon, that has a honeycomb grid in front, and the lightsource inside is kind of light a mount with LEDs pointing in all directions (so same effect as a bulb essentially).
