    Golden Rule... "Find your frame first". Has ALWAYS served me well as a video pro [who has shot hundreds of interviews so far]! It's not about how long an interviewee will be seen on camera - it's about how well they present when they ARE seen on camera [and you never can be sure exactly how much of their content will need to be used].

  •  4 года назад +6

    Really impressive. The difference is HUGE between initial configuration (no lighting) and the end at 8:11.

  • @simonwyndham
    @simonwyndham 5 лет назад +5

    A really good video. It's interesting though watching this and other videos on a similar subject, that people are lighting the subject first. Traditionally (yeah, yeah, tradition I know) you would first compose the shot, arrange the background etc, and then you would light the background first, and then the interview subject last. Something else to consider is to light to your f/stop. In other words choose the stop you want first so that you get the depth of field you are aiming for, and then light the scenario to this set up. It's great that there's so much choice of light type now. When I used to do this more regularly there were times when we had to let people know not to boil a kettle in case they blew the circuit with all our lights turned on!

    Just one critique, if i may: The camera B composition has some jars right over her head, which can be distracting. Where the heck did you guys from? Out of nowhere I get this video recommend and I'm amazed how entertaining and educational you are. Almost 10k subscribers? This is probably going to be 100k within a month when you keep this quality.

    Thank you! Do y’all have any videos on basic makeup tips? I can hardly comb my hair the right way so having a basic make up video with practical tips would be extremely helpful!

    Love your style as its very charismatic. Liking the video after the first 50 seconds, now it doesn't matter what you are gonna explain in the next 10 minutes, probably nothing new for me but love your style.

    You communicate your ideas extremely well and with a bit of humor. The notice that something important is going to be mentioned is pretty funny. I also like that you get right down to business, making very important points clearly and quickly. There are some videos that take too long to get to the actual content. Well done video, sir. Not only do you know your stuff, but you can teach it in a fun and interesting way. Thanks.
