The reason you don't get bluetooth transmission and internal recording in the InstaMic is, that there is a patent in the US, that it would infringe on. That's why the US version of the TentacleSync Track E you can't monitor audio, while recording. DJI and Røde just decided to ignore that patent and Røde is actually being sued over it both in regards to the Røde Wireless Go II and Wireless Go Pro. InstaMic would not be able afford or survive such a lawsuit. So transmission and recording at the same time is not going to come to InstaMic.
But about recording and transmitting at the same time, you're talking about the US. In the case of Europe, could this option come or will it never come to Europe either? I ask this more than anything because I'm looking for a Bluetooth microphone that transmits to an Insta360 camera and records internally at the same time, and then in editing I use the internal recording because it is of higher quality. Thank you very much in advance.
Thumbnail is misleading, but I figured that it's the same for the new C units as for the old Pro Plus, that 32-bit float is max 48kHz, and only 24-bit Mono is 96kHz. My pre-order C-units have not arrived yet, as the European shipments got delayed over the dutch holidays. Should arrive soon, I hope. TentacleSync E Mk II and Atomos UltraSync Blue support have been big wants. I've already asked Michele, if they please also add TentacleSync E Mk II support to the older Pro and Basic units, as it's impossible to find Mk I units anywhere.
@@friedom Have you updated to the new firmware ? That has just been fixed. InstaMic Pro Plus now is compatible with TentacleSync Mk I and Mk II. The older InstaMic Basic and Pro unfortunately still only support TentacleSync Mk I, but the InstaMic team is looking into that.
@@EmeraldAudiovisual I’m going to look into making sure I have the latest firmware. If you don’t mind, can you verify the firmware number? I currently have a beta firmware still installed from when they were trying to sort out the timecode issue with the MKII Syncs.

I ask this more than anything, because my idea is to use an Insta360 X4 and use a Bluetooth microphone to record the audio on the video and internally in the microphone. The big difference is, that the DJI Mic 2 isn't waterproof and the InstaMic is IP67 rated. DJI Mic 2 doesn't do timecode, InstaMic does. DJI Mic 2 can take a lavalier mic, InstaMic can't. Overall, InstaMic wins.

Yes! I don’t even use my Instamic Pro Plus bc I own Tentacle Sync MKII devices. Timecode just doesn’t work for me.
