Meme my Aunt Ruby used to grow a garden every year and she would put up tomatoes corn and okra in jars for the winter. It made the best soup I have ever had. I still grow my own every year and my wife puts it up for us ! Thanks for bringing back such good memories
I dearly love your videos MeMe. Yummy! I had a lovely aunt who married a wonderful Christian man from Mississippi. After a time she developed that glorious Southern accent. She has gone on to Heaven now, but MeMe sounds just like her. So calming & gracious to hear her talk.
Meme, I love watching you so much!! I love to cook and really enjoy your recipes. I’m quite obsessed with your show😂I live in good ole Savannah GA…. Blessed for sure❤️❤️
I like to take a roast with potatoes and carrots and transform it the next day into a pot of vegetable soup. I just cut up the leftover beef and vegetables then add more if needed with a can of green beans and some frozen corn. Then I add some more seasonings, and beef broth and let it simmer for an hour or two. It's a great way to reuse leftovers and warm and filling supper on a cold day.
This is perfect timing. My husband and my dog had surgery today, (hubby was out patient) so I got to the grocery store late tonight and we're in a smallish town. The only thing they had besides hamburger was chicken breasts that I can cut up into chicken tenders. They're my weakest dish! I love your recipe Miss MeMe. I never thought that you could bread them all at the same time. That's a genius move! Thanks very much. My husband loves chicken tenders and you know you always have to sneak one to the dog too. He's a good boy and I was worried, but he's fine :) Thank you again, you saved me.
Love your cooking and recipes. I’m a Yankee from Pennsylvania and we only differ on the mayonnaise. I was born and raised on Hellmann’s and love it. I did give Duke’s a try but it just didn’t do it for me. lol. Keep up the cooking. So enjoy your show! Jesus be praised!

I’m impressed that is a lot of chicken for that budget amount, good job! Everything looks delicious and you can never go wrong with some vegetable soup and cornbread. I just ordered about 12 packages of cornbread from Amazon that I just add eggs and oil because I am prepping for winter and I like a lot of cornbread and chili and soup in the winter time. Thank you for sharing all your recipes. I super appreciate you and all the time you spent in the kitchen and with filming and I know it takes a lot because I used to have a RUclips channel and that’s a lot of work so thank you so much for all your hard work, I save many many of your recipes.

Amazing ... how perfect all this looks !!
My mom raised us on good soup and casseroles fresh biscuits and yes skillet cornbread. This is a healthy meal for anyone.
I love crackling cornbread!
Me too. In an iron skillet. With soup, or with collards and pot liquor. I had collards and cornbread last night, with BBQ chicken thighs.
When using tomato’s I always use a little bit of sugar too.
I always do too! It cuts some of the acidic taste. In the south a majority of cooks add a tat of sugar to most stove top cooked vegetables.
Putting okra in veg soup makes it amazing!!!
Yes it does!
It's not the same without it. I also like baby butter beans too ( baby limas)
I like sugar in my cornbread as well. Loving your channel, you remind me of times spent in the kitchen with my grandmother. Now, I am a great grandmother!
