  • Hey guys please check out my latest reaction video to queen one vision live at Wembley. I really like the up tempo feel of this song and more importantly the message behind it. I was also very impressed by Roger, John and Brian. They did their thing! Needless to say I enjoyed this reaction from queen as I always do!

Freddie was not an egomaniac. He was the first to say they were a complete collaboration and it just so happens that each one in Queen was a genius in his own right! Freddie couldn’t help it if he was SO gorgeous and perfect and everyone who knew him loved him!💜💜💜

this was meant to be a collab between them,John explained that freddie rang them to come into the studio to make a track together
but Roger pretty much figured out a whole song before getting there!
they used it as a base but pretty much re wrote and re composed it
Roger 'that rotter Freddie changed all my words!'
Freddie got really into it and was the main composer/ producer with Roger on this one
on the longer version of the doc,Freddie was annoyed at Brian that he gets lost in what he's doing he doesn't think about the group as a whole that he needs to leave room for everyone to put in their part
you could feel the tension starting but they were mindful because they were being filmed
it's only on the longer version the three of them are saying about Brian that he's just keeping time,Fredddie that will cause a row later! I bet they made him tell him though!
this was re worked as a collab, but not the first time Freddie re worked something of Rogers!
for the Highlander track Roger wrote Kind of Magic, his version is on the film end credite, you can view it on you tube
when he was on holiday Freddie felt it could be a hit so re worked it! added more bass and so on
Roger liked it and Freddies version was on the single and album but still fully credited to Roger

When you were talking about giving a shout out to all the people behind the scenes, you paused the video on Ratty (Peter Hince) doing sound check on the instruments. He was the one who handed Freddie his mic when he needed it. He was Freddie and John’s roadie and the head of Queen’s crew. His job had a lot of responsibility, getting everything set up, taken down and set up again at the next gig, but also because he was in charge of Freddie’s drinks and towels while he was onstage, and for setting up John’s cocktail bar. He dealt with red tape at border crossings, union rules in different countries, and at times the egos of the band. Freddie had an ego, he wouldn’t have got to where he did without one, but he was not an egomaniac. He valued Ratty enormously and was very sorry when he left to pursue his photographic career. Ratty came back for Live Aid as a favour to them

Peter Hince devloped into a very good photographer with Freddie's encouragement, and you will see several great photos of the band, and Freddie in particular, credited to Peter, who is still a photographer of note. He wrote an excellent book about his years with the band.

    • @leonarae8496
      @leonarae8496 3 года назад +2

@@sharonhalliday3180 He took some fabulous photos. I can understand why he left his job to take up photography full time. All during his time with Queen he had been headhunted by other bands, and even though he was offered more money, he knew Freddie would have been terribly hurt so he would never do it. But Freddie being the creative soul he was, understood absolutely when Ratty wanted to pursue his passion. His book is illustrated with photos of the band. They were wonderful

They are actually amazing and their body of work is timeless.
Freddie's voice is beyond beauty. Brian's guitar work is superb.
Roger's drums are solid. John carries it with the bass. Still sounds
    fresh today.
With a powerful voice and charismatic presence,
stands out as the greatest frontman in Rock and Roll history. Once he
stepped on the stage, the audience knew that they were a part of
something special. Having over a four-octave vocal range coupled with a
flamboyant personality, Mercury kept his concerts alive every second.

That smile that comes on your face Jarrett when Freddie runs out is everything! I remember your first Queen reaction well 😉. Look at you now spitting off everyone's names. THANK YOU for doing that. It's super annoying when reactors are 10-15 songs in and still saying "the drummer" "the guitarist". It's like geez - put some respect on these men's names.
You're right, this song is about the music & the lyrics. Queen preaching UNITY 40 years ago. I feel like Freddie was warming up his voice with this one. 🤣

You look beyond and give an honest evaluation of the artists, their instrumental or vocal abilities, and look at their ability to entertain. Keep it up. Oh, and try to smile a little more. You seem to be holding back. Get loose as a goose. Smile, laugh, raise your eyebrows an show us all the Jarrett that you're hiding. Here's hoping you RUclips venture is a hit. I'll be watching.

Brian May: Freddie [came up with] lots of vocal ideas, most of which are unprintable. [laughs]
Roger Taylor: I have here... there's a transcript of his original lyrics.
BM: [Laughs again.] Some of it's printable... "one shrimp, one prawn, one clam, one chicken." Only the chicken survived.
RT: "One heart, one soul, one sex position..."
BM: But the other stuff, "one dump, one turd, two tits, John Deacon", is questionable, really.
RT: And the only bit that survived was "fried chicken" at the end. I think he went through the entire Chinese menu.

The band members loved and respected each other. Yes, they fought (argued is probably a better word) about the music, what would go on the records, and other things regarding their careers, how could they not when they were each geniuses, so different from one another, etc. But they stayed together to the end of Freddie's life because of their love and respect. They knew they were better together than apart and also gave each other room to try their own projects without destroying Queen. They didn't spend all their down time together and try to be joined at the hip though.
I always admire how they allowed each other to be themselves on stage, no "uniforms". The band members supported Freddie when he changed his style and grew his mustache even though some fans threw razors. Respect!
