Freddie was amazingly athletic !! Can you imagine doing what Freddie did on stage for 2 hours? I sort of believe when Freddie was singing he was so into the song he almost didn’t feel anything ( yes I’m kind of nutty when it comes to Freddie) not sure if he felt the tambourine on his leg but if he did he prob figured it was the price he had to pay for his art …?

Love the live version of LIAR! Must say that John Deacon takes the spotlight here! We don’t get to see the camera focused on John too much but the video is really a treat! Freddie strongly encouraged John to sing the bridge with him so that’s another sweet treat! 🍭🍭

Thank you for that great reaction..in this performance every band member had a chance to shine...what you said about the bass...When Freddie was playing the piano he always had John stand behind him because of the sound of the bass🤩

I can understand why. I have been falling in love the bass guitar more and more with every different song and genre i listen to.

The Rainbow Theatre was opened in 1930. It has a Moorish foyer with a goldfish-filled fountain (which survives today) that leads to an auditorium recalling an Andalucian village at night with seating for 3,040. The stage, 35 feet (11 m) deep and spanned by a 64-foot-wide (20 m) proscenium arch, was equipped with a twin-console Compton 3-manual/13-rank theatre organ (opened by G. T. Pattman). Backstage, there were 12 dressing rooms.
The Rainbow has been host to a vast assortment of music performances:
    - It was at this theatre that Jimi Hendrix first burnt a guitar. Hendrix set fire to his Fender Stratocaster guitar.
    - The Osmonds made their debut appearance in London at the Rainbow Theatre in the early 1970s.
    - Frank Zappa was seriously injured on 10 December 1971, when a member of the audience ran up the side steps of the stage and pushed him off the stage into the pit in front, causing him to fracture a leg and cut his head. Zappa was in the hospital for six weeks.
    - David Bowie performed three concerts there during his Ziggy Stardust Tour
    - Pink Floyd, Yes, Eric Clapton, Genesis, James Brown, Van Morrison, Deep Purple, Santana, Stevie Wonder, the Ramones, and many more.

. The audience was 3000. Yes Freddie was bruised. There are a couple of photos of him in shorts with a badly bruised upper thigh. This song was an eye opener and their musicianship caught the ear of the musical audience as something new, unique, and powerful from a very talented group of 4 creative musicians

I love this and it is a very intricate piece of music to say the least. Listening to this one you can hear a lot of where Queen was headed. Thank you for reacting to this excellent performance of this song. I know that some people see rock stars as wimpy, but to be honest they have to be in really good shape to do a two hour set, so they are all pretty well muscled. I am going to imagine that Freddie didn't get any bruises from the tambourine to answer your question.

The Rainbow was built in the 1930s as a cinema with a capacity of about 2,500---and was one of the biggest cinemas in the world. It later became a music venue but closed in the early 80s and is now some sort of church.

This was their first really big gig. At the time it represented a pinacle to them, that they were really getting somewhere. It's an amazing concert: You should react to "Ogre Battle", it's epic! Actually you should react to the whole concert...you won't be sorry if you do.

Freddie's roadie Ratty said yes Freddie was completely bruised up and down his leg, Ratty said Freddie always gave his all and would be completely exhausted after his concert, but would quickly recover.

The Rainbow Theatre held around 3000 people this concert is amazing one of my favourites x Queen played a few concerts there the first time Brian has said they knew they had made it as it was one of THE top places to play for all the top artists x John is a fantastic bass player himself & Roger on the drums were brilliant together the Sonic Volcano they were called x Tie Your Mother Down from Montreal 1981 It’s A Kind Of Magic from Wembley 1986 In The Lap Of The Gods and In The Lap Of The Gods Revisited ( same title two completely different songs) from this concert at the a rainbow just a few suggestions x

Amazing performance. So much energy, the stage could barely contain them. Love the smaller stages as they interacted so much more.
Imo this song was so much better live. Obviously the studio cut didn’t clock in at 8+ minutes & Freddie used a lot of falsetto. For the most part he ditched that live.
There are a good number of of their live shows on RUclips. This show, they did several at this venue, is great.

    I NOW Respect All Queens
Songs, although growing up in their Era , I didn't care for them, i was more into lovey-dovey , Mushy music,
    Still Prefer their later music,
    They are Unmatched

I've loved Queen for 50 years (the first time I saw them was in 1975) and I do prefer their earlier music (Queen and Queen II), it was always such a mystical, magical journey.
