Today its time to fly out the Fw 190 D-9 in Jengar's Combat Report. Revisited the Fw 190 for the first time since release of 1.101, Raining Fire, to show you what i do and think in these battles. And I will tell you exactly how i use this plane and what i did in the battle, lets see how it went. Hope you enjoy :)

Hi can you check F2H, i found out that the turn performance is better without wheel its not a lot but just enought to make it competitive.

Always love the combat reports, and I was just about to go finish spading the D-9 too! :D And speaking of the I-225, you should definitely fly her out again some time, now that she's been lowered to 5.3. :)

Wow I forgot about this game, it was so long ago it feels like. I remember that I lost sight of the AD-4 and I accidentally turned right in front of his guns.

Thanks again for all of the videos! I’ve been binge watching all of your FW-190 videos recently. The 190 was my favorite plane growing up but I’m terrible in the D-13. Getting better because of your videos, though! :)

well fire AA when you are rear and less than 2km away. To shoot down somebody find those that are stalling or are engaged in battle with someone else. Do not fire unless 500m away from the target. Fly high and do not go very low. This plane is good in high alt. Watch some videos about Mig15s. This plane is quite same.
Doras used to be so much more enjoyable before the patch, they were nerfed to death I think. Elevator is garbage. There is no much use of roll rate when you cant pull. Plane used to be fine and now this, I'm so disappointed. High altitude fights are also junky. Flaps are also terrible. All in all you can make a pass on a plane by diving but you better have perfect aim and do not compress to death... Very situational plane(good positioning and good team is a must)
That aside I love your videos Jengar, please post more often :D

This. Having tons of trouble adapting to something with such stiff elevator.
@@buildingenergy9365 It's just kind of change that made this plane something completely different... This plane was already limited in what it could do... It had little something going for it and what Gaijin did was they took away that little something and replaced it with even less of something else so... plane is boring and even more limited. Above 5000m/15000ish ft is just a brick so high alt performance is graveyard- you are unable to pull up and roll over and to turn round you need good 5km sep from ypur enemy... it's bad
@@josippetkovic389 I noticed it also on the A5. Used to play it a certain way, from the moment they changed it it no longer works well. A4 still works, btw. I have several 190s unlocked and did not even crew them, and will leave them behind.
I´am so happy since me and my clan mates started playing IL-2 STURMOVIK because there is no bully of axis planes like in f***** WT. Especially D-9 have tremendous acceleration and very good roll-rate.
The Doras are still somewhat workable because of the climb rate and speed.I tried playing the earlier FWs and they all seem to suffer from compression and bad elevator authority.I don’t remember them being this bad.

some planes are bugged and the propeller spiral doesn't work correctly and of course gaijin will never fix it

@@BleedingUranium and old play modes, maps and problems. Gaijin should put efforts in fix the game first instead new cosmetics and sounds.
@@nando_br Nah, maps and modes are pretty much fine. Air RB has been getting a rework rolled out through all the maps this year too, which fixes all the main issues.

The Doras have always bothered me for this reason. They'd look so much nicer with a "proper" sleek inline engine nose.
Hello Jengar.I watch all your videos,and they are a massive help when I’m flying out my favourite prop fighters.I had a question.What do you do when you see that your Air RB team has more bombers/attackers than fighters,and the enemy team is mostly fighters?How does one fly to get the most out of a situation like that?I tried to support my team by staying close to them,and I tried outclimbing the enemy and picking them off one by one.Nothing works that well.
Sideclimbing, make sure to be up there, and start to work your way down. Be patient, identify the biggest treat at all times, and eliminate or push down those targets. Keep doing that and try to win! (even if you dont win, you will improve as a pilot. These scenario's are perfect for that. 1 vs many make you a better pilot.) Follow them trough to the end.

Are you talking about SL? If you are, that's easy to get and you don't have to pay.
I remember flying this thing and a Spitfire was right behind me gaining on me. Can i turn? Of course not. So i dived reaching my maximum dive speed and to my dismay that spitfire was not only behind me but closing in fast. People told me that spitfires like that can catch me in a dive. So basically i can't do a thing. They outclimb, turn better and dive just as good. So what am i going to do? Spin like a wheel? That won't save me. He can easily pull up and dive on me again.
I find this hilarious because in the Wiki Gaijin made a strong point about how unique this plane is at diving, something that can save you but apparently it is not so "unique" when a turn fighter can do the same no less...
That Yak 3 at 6:58 ... Have the altitude and energy against a stiff plane. What does it do? Go head on against very powerful guns... Jesus man.
11:15 Jengar literally goes through dealing with that in this video. The Fw 190 is amazing at defensive flying, and Jengar did a great job for almost the whole fight. He got an overshoot but got unlucky with the hits, then forced another overshoot but goofed and crashed. So aside from a case of bad luck and then an error in judgment (which we all do) we can see even a *damaged* 190 can do very well defensively against a Spitfire, in the right hands.

Have you achieved the 710km/h Tas at 4800, I can get 692 at most and at 5500 702km/h
I'm struggling with console
i have no experience with it, but a mouse and keyboard might be a great investment to enjoy WT more on console.
The new FM for this plane is crap. They nerfed it too much. It is very bad.

FW-190 D-9 have very bad elevator and overheating is very annoying. Gayjin hate axis planes so why not to nerf them.
i heard it was nerfed, i'll have to visit one of the dora's again.
@@jengar6258 I prefer Dora´s in old IL-2, DCS or new IL-2 Great Battles, because there is no bully of axis planes. I don´t understand why Gaijin still have such negative attitude to German planes. I appreciate you talking about these problems on YT, because it´s one of the ways how to force Gaijin to repair this.
@@Mark49007 yeah sadly D9 and Ta 152 H1 were my favorite for a while but they keep getting nerfed for no reason it's horrible, and now with the F2G spam this plane is just sadly not very good
@@threadworm437I´am not playing WT anymore...this game not deserve any attention. Since they limited time of battle on 25 minutes it killed RB and I already ended with this game and my clan also ended. IL-2 Sturmovik or DCS are much better than this sh*t.
@@Mark49007 yeah I have started moving away from WT because they have a clear bias against axis vehicles. They add American and Russian vehicles only now and just keep nerfing 190s and 109s, I recently got IL2 and the Fw 190 D9 pack for it and I love it
defensive flying is bullshit...you always get damaged too much...this plane can do one kill and then you have to be lucky...it can not outclimb, outturn or outrun the enemy...
