I basically learned how to get good in the game with this thing. It also printed me metric tons of SL. This was my first and the best in-game purchase.
Briefly tapping (or toggling) the take off flaps, but not allowing the flaps to fully extend, maybe 1/4 of the way, while using the elevators to turn, is probably the best 190 advice I've received from DEFYN.
Finally some prop content, been playing top tier for the past few months now and when I flew props with some friends a few days ago it felt like a breath of fresh air again.
Stealth belts on this thing are quite lovely. The D13 is the only plane I feel comfortable using them too. I feel like no one runs stealth at all anymore so no one knows to dodge without seeing tracers. Great use of them in this vid.

Was my first ever premium I bought back in 2014, learnt to do energy fighting, reversals and BnZ in this. At my peak I mastered to stealth belt head ons like crazy.... good times
The very first premium plane I bought when I started playing in 2013. It is also the first plane I got an aced crew with and still the one I have the most battles and kills with in Air RB. The D-13 was good even when it was 5.7 and 6.0 BR all those years ago. It had a much better win rate before the Ju 288 was introduced into the game.
When I try a Defyn move and fail, I then go back through and find out why, what _I_ did wrong. Usually it's because I've misjudged how much energy they're still carrying and I haven't spent enough time on my knees. I don't think I've ever thought "Defyn must just get easy enemies" because that's denialism in what the actual issue is (skill issue), and completely illogical. I've now seen hundreds of Defyn's matches, and the statistical anomaly required for defyn to even get half the necessary "easy mode" players is wildly improbable to the point of seeming impossibility. Each new match in which Defyn is given a confederacy of dunces exponentially diminishes the already impossible odds to the point where considering the crux of the issue is "Defyn gets easy enemies" is absurd. So, Defyn - Forget those comments, the people who posted them should consider themselves lucky they don't forget to breathe while they sleep.
Defyn also has superhuman aim. I have thousands of hours in this game and I can rarely hit the deflection shots like he does. It makes a world of difference when you cripple/kill an enemy with a single pass versus having to reset and go for another one

Also lol at a Spit Vc seeing the fucking D13, that's crazy. BRs are so stupid, so many under-tiered planes with monster performance that can seal club, and a bunch of shitboxes with 4+ cannons at absurd BRs.
Well, in real combat the objective was not for each side to make a bunch of fighters to shoot at each other, it was primarily to deliver ordinance to knock out ground and water based targets. So the ticket simulate that, so that fighters can remember a bit that they only exist to protect the bombers and attack planes.
@@reinbeers5322 it is barely 1kmh faster than the fw190d, it also climbs worse and has very far away mounted guns making aiming quite hard. The worst trait of it is how it just doesn't turn at all so you will have to cope when coming down from the spiral climb. For the record the do335 does what sea fury does much better, even climbing, alas it compresses really bad at 750 ias where sea fury pulls 9g's (and d13 pulls the same g's earlier)
I'm not Defyn but I'll share some comparison facts. The F7Fs are faster below 3km. They have a better roll rate. The Ki-83 is better in every other performance metric. The Ki-83 will get to 3km in 1:40. The F7F in 2:12. They will get to 6km in 3:31 and 4:58 respectively. The F7Fs don't have any performance advantage over any single engined fighter that sits at 5.7 sans level flight speed in some comparisons. The Ki-83 outclimbs virtually everything below 6.0 in BR.

I would describe the D-13 as the perfect third party plane, it is super good for diving throgh a furball and lighting shit up without turning, then zooming back up. In a 1v1 it loses to most things that can climb.
I know you posted this four months ago, but I need some advice. I just played a game where I went up against an I-225. I've had trouble fighting them in the past due to their high performance, especially at my favorite altitude: 6km. I wasn't able to fully maneuever after the merge (he was above me flying a little faster) as I got distracted by a phone call (though as you can infer from before I was already in a losing position at that point. I wanted to ask if you think the D-13 can even be remotely competitive against an I-225, assuming they engage each other without engaging anyone else - which gives the I-225 the advantage due to its better climb rate. I tried using flaps, but that only helped me for about 20 seconds.

To add to the pile of "you should play" comments: the Hunter F.6 is 9.7 right now, and it actually just feels like cheating in a downtier. SRAAMs are pretty funny right now too, I think Gaijin did something to them while messing with the R-73
It only has two sramms and they are very short range. Hunter also has lackluster flight performance. not really that good at 9.7. The missles are the only reason its that high of a br.

I recommend the russian tree But for america the p51c is a good starting point yeah. The issue is thre lack of good firepower so it can be frustrating if your aim isn't great. When you're learning arb and are like NEW new i recommend something that can kill quicker or is able to get longer shot windows or. The F2A-1 is a bit easier in that regard. P-51A at 3.3 is also good, worse flight performance but the guns are really good If they buy anything the XP50 is a great starter too
What if Gaijin changes the ticket system for example, instead of deducting 100 points per target we just add 100 points for the team and set a 30-minute match time limit, or if one team has no active player left the match will end and the team with higher score win.
While losing or winning to tickets sucks, they are there to stop every single match from going the full 25min because 1 guy wants to camp on the airfield all game.
It also invites less to camp the base as they would have to do it for much longer. Games going longer might happen but i think its infinitely better as having them end prematurely all the time
Sad that the whole BR is full of JU288C and F2G-1. I stopped playing the 5.0 - 6.0 BR a while ago, most of my opponents were better than in 3.7-4.7 but the amount of match where half your team are JU288C helldiver bot, it's insane. And playing against F2G-1 all the times you kinda just want to pluck your eyes out. The plane has so much horsepower, easy to aim gun, it just pull infinitely and lesser bad pilot mistakes. The amount of planes that get caught in this matchmaking brain rot like the I-225, the Hornet MKI/III, or any german 6.0 that has to suffer JU288C. It's mindblowing a whole BR range get destroyed by one single premium bomber and a fake corsair.

D13 is still my most used plane even though I've chosen the d9 over it for years, got me through most of the air tree
The D9 is better in most circumstances since no one bothers to climb anymore where as the D-13 mainly shines at high altitude
