There is one original FW-190F n the US that has been under restoration for several years, it has the original BMW 801 engine in it, hopefully it will be flying this year, I had a 20 second audio file of the sound of this engine flying but I’m damned if I can find it, if you get chance to see this FW-190F flying this year the sound ‘will’ make the hairs at the back of your neck stand up !
One of the things that made WWii such an amazing topic of study was the cutting edge ahead of it's time technology were the incredible flying machines flown by both the Germans and Allies. Each side competing for that little edge to gain advantage and then the Germans finally introduced the ME-262 right near the end of the war. Incredible to see them all here on display and still flying still amazes when you think this was 80 + years ago when these planes were put into battle over the skies in Europe.
Grandfather Paul worked on these after stepping away from Stuka rear gunner duties (vertigo). Still have his BMW801 engine repair license from training school in Munich 1945. The war would be over in a few months. He loved the JU87 and FW190.

It is
Oh boy what a beautiful roar. Sure glad these plane are here for us to appreciate.
Oh dear, it’s a replica FW not Fw as in the original WW2 aircraft. FW stands for Flug Werk not Fw for Focke Wolf. Russian Ashh engine not BMW 801. A number of these very well built and substantially accurate replicas were built in the early 2000’s
Nothing wrong with any of that.
Schön, diese Meisterwerke fliegen sehen zu können.
Ja in der Tat
There is one original FW-190F n the US that has been under restoration for several years, it has the original BMW 801 engine in it, hopefully it will be flying this year, I had a 20 second audio file of the sound of this engine flying but I’m damned if I can find it, if you get chance to see this FW-190F flying this year the sound ‘will’ make the hairs at the back of your neck stand up !
Das ist Musik!!!!
THIS IS THE BEST TECHNOLOGY .
IN WW2.
GERMANY TECHNOLOGY!
German science is The Best.
or was
Although it's not a fighter, the Extra series proves that germans knowns to design aircrafts.
My favourite is the ' Dornier DO 335 ' , love to see it fly , one day.
One of the things that made WWii such an amazing topic of study was the cutting edge ahead of it's time technology were the incredible flying machines flown by both the Germans and Allies. Each side competing for that little edge to gain advantage and then the Germans finally introduced the ME-262 right near the end of the war. Incredible to see them all here on display and still flying still amazes when you think this was 80 + years ago when these planes were put into battle over the skies in Europe.
traumhaft die beiden flieger
Danke
Grandfather Paul worked on these after stepping away from Stuka rear gunner duties (vertigo).
Still have his BMW801 engine repair license from training school in Munich 1945. The war would be over in a few months.
He loved the JU87 and FW190.
Great story.
How do you even begin going about resorting and maintaining these aircraft?
These old warbirds are so iconic, everybody, who's only a little interested in aircrafts will know and recognize these beautiful birds. i think, i must visit Usedom very soon to see these magnificent place and some of the birds. Stunning video, thx for that !! 👍👍👍
Thx mate
Listening to the beautiful sounds of these remarkably conserved historic Fighter Aircraft is such a privilege !
Danke zu teilen. Es ist eine wünder wieder zu sehen Klaus Plasa mit das schontest deutsches Flugzeuge. von WW2.
