  • A Florida man faces multiple charges after leading a Florida Highway Patrol trooper on a high-speed chase on an expressway near Tampa. When the man finally stopped, police found drugs and two other passengers, one of whom was a five-year-old child. The driver now faces seven felony charges and two misdemeanor charges including kidnapping, possession with intent to sell, fleeing to elude and others.

    The female cop didn't use her flashlight to inspect the vehicle for other passengers, and she had her gun holstered which is a very high stakes bet that nobody is waiting to ambush her in the car.

      She was on camera for 10s and all these judgements lmao. She headed towards her officer + suspect to see if they needed help, and when waved off, checked the vehicle. She had no reason to believe there were additional people inside because the officer who just pulled the suspect out did not mention it, and he would have had clear view of any extra adults. Then she peeked in and surprise surprise, saw a child.

      @@stevegreening419yes they’re saying after a situation like that the perp is likely to be very dangerous, therefore any cop should be prepared with a weapon because if someone drives like that they clearly have little regard for their imprisonment so why wouldn’t they take it a step further and attack the officer. This perp was more submissive and the officers were lucky for that. Both officers should’ve been ready with weapons though.

      To be fair, their speeds topped 100 mph and going around curves and hills.
      Rate of closure was too fast for other drivers. Plus it was night time. May have been hard to tell which lane a couple of fast moving headlights is in approaching from the rear. It was probably best to not make any sudden lane changes to get out of the way. You may end up getting in the way.

    It absolutely amazes me. How some people can drive a regular car like this? And actually think they're going to be able to escape a police car. The police cars have special police packages in the motors. And there are a few other things they do as well to make the car faster.

    With the amount of high speed chases available now to educate oneself with, you would assume anyone who watches any of them would come to the realization that the chances of eludeing and or escape are woefully not in ones favor. Admit it, you cant outrun a motorolla, and best option is to pull to the shoulder an accept your a dummy for ridein dirty and focus on reduceing the charges yah gunna be getting.

      The thing is you only see high speed chases of cars that are caught when you watch the news/cop channels. There are plenty of people who outrun cops. It happens multiple times a day, every day in the US. You just don't tend to find videos of people who escape on these types of channels.
