Didn't knew there are rgb strips with slim controller until your video. Searched and ordered mine. Exactly what I needed.
The other RGB i installed for my PC setup has a bulky controller, and remote doesn't even work unless pointed directly or to a reflective surface.
From your video I can tell it goes through the cupboard doors.

You can also purchase a smart WiFi outlet (then plus in the USB outlet from the led light) and you can set it on a timer

The previously installed LED you keep mentioning is just an Aluminium extrusion with a clip in place diffuser, you could have simply unclipped it, pulled out the old strip from within and reused it and all the holes

Dies the power supply box come with it?
The flashling mode can be tied to home automation (motion detector, etc) so you can be alerted. Is nice if you are at different hours and don't want to wake up other people (sleeping babies, etc) if tied to other devices, such as phones, home security, or whatever you want tethered. 🤓

Very nice work. How did you combine the remotes to control one?
When you fix yours led stripes to the coupling before closing the little plastic caps, many would put just a drop of hot glues where the led stripes connect with the coupling just as a safety , it’s not necessarily of courses but why not just to be sure it doesn’t loose contacts with times.
Great review... just wondering can I still use, two different remotes, in the same room where there is two controllers been used.?
Thank you so much! You should be able to but the remote that comes with these lights are so powerful, most likely it will work both lights at the same time. If you want to change the color for one controller, pick your color then unplug it & change the color for the next controller. When you plug in the first controller again, it will keep the light color you set it last. That way you can use two different colors🙂
Excellent video, great detail. My problem is that I don't have plug-ins in my cabinets and I have to take up a socket underneath. This also shows the wires. I use my echo to turn them off/on.
Calvin Shingleton you can run a wire from the existing electrical outlet, straight up through the wall behind your cabinet, and install an outlet there. I love the fact that these LEDs are plugged in, out of view, and controlled entirely with a remote. I also love the choice of colors and the fact that they can be dimmed. I don’t think I’d enjoy them at full brightness when I’m looking for ambience.
Same here I don't have a place to plug them in:( however what do you think about using thoese power banks with on and off switch to power the USB lights??
Were they happy with this? Maybe you mentioned it but why would you not put the new lights in the diffusers already there? To see an LED strip just stuck and connected to the cabinets like that mustn't be very nice to look at during the day not to mention at some point the stove heat will affect the ones above it.

Hi. I have Lutron switches I can control from my phone and Alexa / google . Do the lights come on automatically when prowler is turned on, to the last color I assume or do you have to use the remote? Thanks

My only beef with it is___ over the stove--- when I look at it - I am looking directly at a LED - Painful
I would never ever want to look directly at the beam of a bare LED
Perhaps if the the bare LED was ....say....deflected in a way so the bare LED
is not so hard on the eyes.

What that kitchen needs the most before anything else is an under cabinet range hood with internal exhaust.Then after that install under cabinet lighting at the front of the upper cabinets, not at the rear as you did.That way a person can prepare food and see what they are doing with a minimum amount of shadows, assuming those lights have a functional white light mode and not just a pretty light mode.
Exacly what I was thinking and add an usb receptacle to clean the hidden mess.

The only thing I would have done differently, would be to change the electrical outlet to one that also has USB. That way you can avoid the adapter. Since outlet is in cupboard, it probably doesn't matter. If USB adapter goes bad you can replace it. 🤓

Hi can all led be extended I have a 3mtr strip 18watt says on the box can be cut. All I want to do is add some corner connectors so I can make a square shape pattern.????
Ok I have a question. After I cut the lights on half and add the connecter to them do i have to make sure that cut part of wired to the same wire the other led lights are wired to? Or will the connecter itself make them turn on. Let’s say I want the LED lights all around my room but then I want to cut a piece or 2 to put behind my tv.. I know I need a connecter to add to the tv strips but would I need to connect them to the same power cord as the ones around the room? Please help!

Check the AC/DC converter can supply sufficient current. Not all power packs are created equal. Current spec of LED per foot or metre on data sheet.
hi, when you buy 2 packages, will the remote work on both of them? even if you're connect to a different power source?

So best thing to do is put an outlet whit usb plugs on it in each cabinet I’m an electrician and never did the pell and stick before I’ve done the Fluorescents before so in each cabinet that doesn’t join together I need an outlet with usb thanks I know what to do now very helpful

Nice set up and so neat. by the way, I tried to connect two LED strips with the same clip you used, but my extension strips' light is dimmer until the end of it. Can you give me some advice 😅🙏
There are a few reasons. You may have a weak connection: not enough surface area touching the contacts on the clip. . Or you're using two different brands of LEDs: not all are the same wattage or brightness. Particularly counterfeit products. If the power supply were not up to the added draw from the additional LEDs the whole line of LEDs would dim together.

JumperMan, that link to the strip connectors aren't the straight ones in your vid, they're L-shaped...also,
the link to the light kit itself isn't 118 inches, but a group of 4 little individual strips that can be jumpered
together. please explain, and put up the correct links..maybe I'm missing something?

Hey Tony, those connectors in the link can either be used as an L shape or straight so that link is correct. The LED link usually had an option for the 118" set and those 4 individual ones you mentioned but it seems they sold out temporarily for the 118" set. I'm going to email them and find out when the 118" sets will be back in stock. Hopefully soon. Thank you for the heads up and thanks for watching!
