It's coming along very nice. Just finished my 64 Plymouth Belvedere, in Testors Bronze Extreme Lacquer. Being retired, disabled and housebound, I have plenty of time for my modeling hobby, as I had to give up my more active/outdoors hobbies. 😮
It's looking great Matthew. That color looks perfect. I like the idea of painting the engine bay the same as the body but not clear coating it. Looks more realistic. Your chrome bumpers and grill look great too. In, my humble opinion, I think those wheels and tires are a great fit. I'm looking forward to the finished build vid. 👍👍
Taking your time is actually a blessing. Teaching my grand nephew building. One thing I've stressed is that being in a rush will result in mistakes. Even in messing up big time doesn't mean you throw the kit away. Building the engine assembly is good practice. I've told him 15 mins a day is good at his age, school work will always come first. I guess the world is comsumed by instant gratification now.
Your Dodge build is coming along nicely! I'm retired/single and I struggle with carving out time for my hobbies, regardless of the hobby. It's difficult for me to prioritize a 'hobby' over everyday life tasks/needs. I would postulate that the life/hobby balance conundrum is true for most of us.
The build of tge,Dodge is coming out fantastic Matt. You create some super 3D printed parts. Your channel has grown by leaps and bounds as you keep up on the hobby. Thanks for sharing.
That is one bad looking 64 Dodge. Also wanted to tell you thank you again for sending me another Racing HEMI. I am currently working on a group Mopar build. Decided to go full custom on this 78 Dodge D 100 pick-up. Using the Racing HEMI for the engine and the back half along with the front suspension from a certain 66 Nova. Thank you again for making videos and your 3D products. I will definitely be ordering more from you.
The purple looks great, and those wheels & tires are awesome. Also recieved my first order of MCV products, and they are awesome. Also, thanks for the extras!!! I will certainly be ordering again😊
I've always liked the roofline on these cars. Not sure why? Love the purple. The rear tire looks like it fits just right. I enjoyed your response. Thanks for sharing
Looking good nice to have a 3D printer in the man cave and to top it off you didn't even have to wait for the shipping it's good to look really good when all done
I love your videos and love your heart. I know what you mean about being busy. I started a model like a year and half ago. I painted the body but not sure I like it. So I stopped. I have to get back to it. Remember a 427 Hemi is where it's at.
👍Looking good! The MT’s are gonna be nice. Alclad Magnesium is a good steel look IMO and it buffs nice and purty . I use it on tie rods, might look good on your crash bars. Speaking of which I’m scratch building mine this week. So far they fit 🎉. Great build Matt👏👏
The Dodge looks great. Nice color choice. Your videos have definitely changed over the years. As long as you expand on the money making part of the hobby, your build time will get less and less. Just work with you have, and everything will be great. How many 3D printers do you have now. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Matthew. I too feel those concurs distributors are out of scale. Look great but to big. I'm glad you make the parts for us. But I knew it would swamp you.
Hey Mathew I love your videos They are part of the reason I got back into the hobby after 40 odd years I am curious about your use of the incubator for drying paint Would it be too much to ask if you could make a short video on the use of an incubator in the hobby, do's, donts, advantages over other methods and so on Thanks mate, all the way from New Zealand and keep the videos coming
I work graveyard shift as an emergency dispatcher for a small local natural gas distribution company on the weekends. They allow me to work from home. So 8 hours, 2 days per week I am working on models while I work. It seems to be the only time I can find to work on them, some of which I have had on my shelf for DECADES!
Matthew, did you get my Email about the Spartanburg show in January? I'm not a huge purple fan, but that paint is beautiful. Those wheels and tires look spot on too. Right now I'm trying to replicate a Ford Courier that a friend and I built in the mid 70s. We cleaned out the front end and put a straight axle, Boss 429 with a C6 and a narrowed Olds rear axle. We ended up using a kid's steel wheelbarrow for a transmission tunnel. It was a good thing we had the automatic trans because there was no room for a clutch pedal! The 429 was only(!) stock but sure made that little truck go! The thing beat you half to death it rode so rough. We worried the kids with the Mustangs and Camaros a lot. I suppose its still out there but guess not as someone else probably found a better use for the engine. Crazy days! Cheers Terry
I was just going to ask where do you find the time. I have to squeeze time when i can for my hobbies. Then after work and getting in during the evenings im tired. Anyway good looking motor and etc on the build.
Tha Dodge is looking fantastic Matthew! We certainly appreciate all the work and effort for this community. We'll take the videos when we can get them. Just don't burn yourself out! Best wishes Brother!

Love when you open kits, helps me to decide if I want one or not. Plus love your instructional videos, I love your techniques and learn from them.

It's definitely a time juggle for sure!
I'm retired. So, I got lots of time. My time will be slowing down next month for deer season. 😊😊😊
I'm lucky to get a few hours a month. I don't know how others get a couple hours per day.
For real!
👍👍😎🇺🇸
