Those wheel and tires would be good for people trying to make 1/24th scale Hot Wheel cars.

That Monogram '32 Ford kit is a slice of modeling history - it started life as the "Little Deuce" originally released in 1966. GREAT KIT!!!!

The Revell Willy's was based on a real show car, but they didn't replicate the electronic fuel injection, and Enderle hat. They comprised using Hilborn that they could share with the gasser variants. The Testors kit came in a period when Lindberg and Hawk lines were in limbo, so Lindberg was probably the source.

About 10 miles from my house, in Longview, TX, there is one of these Lincolns for sale. It's a coupe rather than a convertible like the model, and is all black. The car appears to be totally stock from the outside, but it features a Lincoln 460 c.i.d. V-8 engine under the hood.

I believe the 41 willys was originally the ston, woods and cook drag car from the 60's.

The Revell 41 Willys prostreet is a completely different kit from either gasser kit. Stone Woods & Cook blue, SW black, or KS Pittman. Different frame, interior, suspension, wheels and tires, engine, trans, even the body. All different pieces. 4 different mold sets for 4 different versions of the same car. Side note: my grandfather's all time favorite car was gis 41 Willys Americar Coupe. Same car. In late 1942, he went into the Willys dealer to get some tuneup parts. The sales manager offered to trade him a brand new 42 Willys straight across plus gas stamps for his 41. New cars were under wartime price restrictions. Used cars could be sold for whatever the market would bear. He declined. When my mother was born in 1930, the family car was a 28 Willys Star Coupe. But after WW2, Willys cars were not available. So from then on, all his cars were Fords. I still have his 61 Falcon.

Those 40’s Fords are awesome 👍. I unboxed a vintage Monogram 65 Impala SS today. It’s well molded circa 1998🎉. The engine probably has a few miles on it. Probably gonna need a MCV crate engine.💃🏻. Fun video Matt , thanks for sharing your finds👏👏👏

I agree with you Matthew on the 1/24 scale, you're not splitting a fraction in scale.

Thank you for the video back in the day I grew up Saturdays in a sweet hobby store about 2 miles from my house and was just a few minutes on my Schwinn orange Krate 😁👍
This hobby store was loaded with my favorite models....

Very nice stash add on. Cadillac, GMC, Oldsmobile and Pontiac all had flathead (side valve) engines. GMC until 1939, Cadillac and Oldsmobile until 1949 (although Olds had a flathead 6 available in '49 and '50) and Pontiac until 1955. Buick and Chevrolet never had flathead engines.Oct 7, 2018

Adding to the Dick Tracy car comments: this was the first issue of the 5 window roof from AMT. the cars in the movie were slightly modified to remove emblems and logos for a more generic comic book feel. I built a movie accurate version of this car by filling in the sides of the grille, scratch building the wipers, adding a rear view mirror and running baby moons. I used a lot of spruce and putty to fill the seems in the roof to body joint. At the end of the day the model came out great.

The Flashpoint kit is a reissue of the TD's "CopOut". The Hemi in the Willys is a 392. The Ohio George is a '33 Willys.Testors produced Boyds Smoothster kit, which is a real car. They also produced 2 others based on it. One is the"Coupster" the other is the "Vantastic" which are kits only. They also produced Boyds Hauler which is also a real vehicle Boyd's shop actually made for Eddie Van Halen.

The Dick Tracy movie was (supposed to be) the Big Summer Movie in 1990. It had a cast full of Stars, including Madonna acting and🎉 singing in the film. Despite all this, it ended up being a flop.

Regarding the 32 Ford: The street rod scene of the 70’s mostly ran Chevy small blocks because the breath well and build RPM very fast. Modern Ford V8s have caught up in performance potential, however.

I like the 1/24 scale better they seem easier, I can actually see what I'm doing

The dick Tracy car. Is interesting because the movie car are modified. The grill area on the sides have panels there so you only see the grill from the front. Also the wheels and tires look like on the movie cars look like they are from like a 1940s ford
