    I love the look and tech of the SQ8 over the competition, so much that I’ve ordered one. Prestige trim with Luxury, Sports, Black Optic, and Night Vision packages. Aluminum Spectrum interior inlays instead of Carbon Vector. I liked the styling of the SQ8 over the additional fake vents of the RSQ8, and I preferred the drive of the SQ8 as well (more luxury-sport vs sport-luxury). Currently in build status, and hoping to get delivery in November! Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

      @@MilesPerHr While I had ordered the SQ8 before your review, your review was excellent and helped me cement that I made a good choice. I appreciate the quality of your reviews.

      Wiktor , I live in an area with a lot of deer, and it can get downright scary driving at night (especially in rutting season) with the deer grazing around the side of the roads or running across them. So any advanced warning of a deer up ahead will be worth it for me.

    SQ8 actually reaches 60 miles per hour faster than official figure. 4 seconds at worst, but below 4 seconds in tests by Motortrend (who tested the SQ7 at 3.6 seconds). Autogefuhl did a youtube review of SQ7/SQ8 and if you time it, the video shows them reaching 100 km/hr in about 4 seconds with a passenger next to the driver.
    Cayenne GTS is superb..but comfort level is below SQ8.

    Thanks for the excellent review. I am thinking about this car for my next one and am currently driving a Grand Cherokee SRT 2018. Lease is almost up. In your opinion, is the Q8 worth the extra $$ - I test drove a Q7 and loved the refinement of the ride and am expecting the Q8 to be just better and more refined than the SRT.

    • @MilesPerHr
      @MilesPerHr  3 года назад

      Definitely better ride quality than the SRT. Worth the price premium over the Q7? I think it is. Better design (and I don’t typically say that about these coupe-like SUVs)

    What do you think about SQ8 whitout sport drive? In a long autoroute or in mountain road,is she more confirtable/safe than Q8 or her engine appairs too loud for pleasure travels?

    • @MilesPerHr
      @MilesPerHr  3 года назад

      The SQ8 is definitely not too loud to enjoy every day. It’s smooth and can be very subdued in Auto drive mode 👍

    Another very good review. Well done. I do have a few questions I am hoping you might answer for me: First, it is my understanding that the 2021 Q8 and SQ8 have a 60/40 rear/front bias for the quattro all wheel drive, as in percentage of power sent to the rear or front axel, but do you know, is that fixed or does the percentage to the rear or front vary depending on circumstances and/or drive mode selection? And if varies, what is the maximum that can be sent to the front and to the rear? Does adding the Sport Package with the sport rear differential to the SQ8 change that, and how so? (A different reviewer referenced as much as 80% and another 85% can go to the rear, and one said as much as 70% can go to the front, but a few also referenced the 60/40 was fixed, one seemed to suggest that adding the Sport Package rear differential affected this, but others made no such reference to that as a factor, so I am just confused about this issue). And specifically regarding the six drive modes, if the percentage split front and rear varies depending on drive mode, what are those percentages for each mode? Also, I noticed when you opened up the individual mode, one of the selections was Drive and for that were choices of Balanced and Sport, not sure if that was just two choices or a range between the two, but was that referring to the percentage of power sent to the front and rear axel depending on what your choice was there, and was Balanced say 50/50 and sport say 60/40 rear/front, or other? And in the Auto mode, is one of the things that is adjusted there how much power goes to the front or rear axel, but adjusted on the fly as the car senses slippage issues, or does Auto refer to something else entirely? Thanks for these answers and any further clarification you can provide on the issue.
    And again, thanks for a great review. There is a thoroughness to your reviews that I really appreciate, that I don't often see in other reviews. Keep up the great work.

    Trying to think of a reason why the paddles would be so small, and it must be that Audi doesn't want them to really be visible. Seems like a way of just sneaking them on the wheel.

    Hi MilesPerHr, thank you so much for sharing! I’m wonder what’s the biggest diff between 2020 and 2021 q8? I’m planning to buy a used 2020/2019 Q8 prestige around 10k, do you have any suggestions? Thank you so much 😊,

    • @MilesPerHr
      @MilesPerHr  3 года назад +1

      The 2021 year has more standard safety features, but the prestige would have those anyway so there isn’t really a big difference. Enjoy!

    so basically the only difference between an rsq8 and an sq8 is a tune and 10 piston brakes.... ?

    • @MilesPerHr
      @MilesPerHr  3 года назад

      Audi tunes the suspension and gearbox differently, and there’s more standard equipment, but yes the power and brakes are the biggest differences.
