Ahoy, gotta say this is a great review!!! I had been considering doing one myself on our 2021 SQ7. It's my wife's daily grocery getter and has been on quite a few roadtrips in the 13ish months we've had it(Currently at 25,xxx). I even left roundtrip from SWFL with it to buy two project cars and towed a 2000 Trans Am all the way back from Atlanta to Naples with it while putting the gap on empty dieselbois... 😆😎

Physically and mentally, the barrel roll shot has had a lasting effect on me

Like your review commentary style. Now that you have reviewed this Audi SQ7 can you do a review on the upcoming Merc. GLS 580 as a comparison!?! I am very torn between the two options.

Thank you! I wish I could get my hands on one but I don't have access to any Mercedes Benz models unless someone traded one in at one of the 3 dealerships that let me review their cars!

1:43 and to add to the ground clearance AND the fast wagon look, optional bags can raise for more off roading (hahahah, yeah right) or lowered for than wagon stance.

Cool video. But you definitely need to test drive the Porsche caynne GTS.

This is amazing Audi dealer hand them the keys for 1h and they talk for 10 years about it like if they owned the car for 20 years 😂😂😂😂

Thank you for this great piece. Only a few issues: 1. SQ7 competes with GLE 53 and X5 M50i, instead of full fledged monsters like GLE 63 and X5M; 2. Petrol version is not equipped with the 48V system

    • @Realistick
      @Realistick  4 года назад +5

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it, firstly, your comment about the mild hybrid setup is incorrect. The petrol version here is equipped with the mild hybrid system in the US and is the only engine option here. www.edmunds.com/audi/sq7/2021
The SQ7 is the most hard-core you can get the SQ7, so i chose to compare it to the most (non s & competition) hard-core versions of its competitors. Plus the SQ7 is much quicker than the GLE 53 so I didn't bother with it.
I definitely should have included the X5M50i (i placed an addition in the description). I ignored it because I was comparing the top versions of each car but that is definitely closer in price/capability to the SQ7!

Correction to the correction: Petrol version does have the 48v mild hybrid system. I’d also disagree with the statement on GLE 53. GLE 53 AMG vs a GLE 450 is a compressor boost on their inline 6 turbo.

@@Realistick i agree, you should compare it against comparable models. with your logic, then everyone should just throw random comparisons with each other. with your logic, then you're gonna compare the ranger raptor with a frontier pro 4x because that's the hard-core of each versions. literally no one is going to cross shop the two, that will just diminishe your reputation as a knowledgeable car reviewer. or in your next review just do a comparison on the koen agera rs vs the toyota gr supra because it's the most hard core from each brand.

In terms of comfort and safety, what do you recommend ? Audi SQ7 or MB GLE 53 AMG ?

Biggest difference between this and the hellcat Durango or Jeep SRT, you can't buy it with 400 credit score, 0 down and a 144 month loan

5:00 the only bad thing with HUD is if you wear polarized glasses like it do, its almost impossible to see the HUD. works great at night when the glasses are off tho.

I think people who own this is feeling a bit uncomfortable now with gas prices going to the moon. I'm going to wait a bit for prices to stall before I trade up 😁

Heavy intervention from stability control. Even when in dynamic and everything switched off. Straight line. Sure. Corners. No

Get an OBDeleven and you can permanently shut off the auto off.

But the Audi SQ7 has 100 horsepower less than the Audi RSQ8 and that's exactly why I choose the Audi RSQ8.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Wait until it is out of warranty and starts falling apart.

That's why I said get an extended warranty at the end, I can't think of a performance SUV where that wouldn't be the case, unfortunately.

i have the 2020 SQ7 and while i enjoy it, it find the exterior is unfitting of it's performance. it's really nerfed compared to its german counterparts.
