I have to admit, this review changed my perception of the SQ7. Before I thought it was bringing up the rear in its segment, especially compared to its German competitors. Great job Andrea and Zack!
I would say the price is very reasonable at $104k. In a world where Toyota Rav4s and Lexus RX350s are pushing $45k and $65k respectively to get a premium SUV like this SQ7 that keeps up with and beats some sport sedans is amazing. The fact that there's practicality, function, AWD, comfort and fun all in one package but subtly styled (I don't like vehicles that are too shouty) makes this SQ7 a winner. Thanks Zack and Andrea.
My last vehicle in the UK before I moved to Canada was the Audi A6 TDi saloon. Used to have to travel some 600 miles (1,000km) round trip every week for work and it never once let me down. Loved that car. Great review Andrea and Zack, love the channel and great content. Thank you.
One of the best informative reviews I have seen. Im an Audi fan owning many but love the other two germans as well. SQ7 with the black optics package would be my choice..money well spent to get the refinement, look, performance and quality. Looked at the Caddy and Lincoln for about the same money yesterday. Just not up to par with the Germans in all categories. The only thing was size.
Great review of this SQ beast! Love the opinions from both and comparisons within the class. Seemed like a good mix of practical, subjective and objective points. Well done
its acutally not bad since it has haptic feedback. Its the best screen IMO bc it actually takes advantage of the benefits of a touch, its customizable and touchpad writing. Although for just HVAC it is easier to use buttons
Thanks Zack (and the dealer) for putting this one up. Always like to see the car I'm shopping / owning to validate... Loving ours in Navarra blue. Seriously happy with the value of the proposition here. Spacious, family friendly, so comfy, luxurious, full of tech, and enough satisfaction for daddy. Feels more than 500hp btw...and this engine has so much more potential (low pressure turbo on that 4.0 bitrubo, so it feels very linear like it was normally aspirated). The only option to get in my book is the B&O ; yes expensive but worth it over the Bose. Trailer hitch...yes but it's so well equipped by default (adaptive driving aids cool too)
I don't know why, but I think the audi driving position it's one of the best. I drive an audi A6 2016 and i drove a lot of cars and I never find in them the perfect driving position(maybe I am biased🤣🤣🤣). And my sister have an audi Q7 tdi 2018 and I can tell that if I had my eyes cover I will still realize I'm in an audi, maybe it's just in my mind. BTW all the love for you guys❤️❤️❤️
Zack, good to run into you a couple days ago! And Andrea, keep up the great work of not only being knowledgeable but also being able to present it to a loyal following!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate all your support, you are very kind. Zack told me he ran into you and you guys had a nice chat. And thank you for supporting the channel.
Small correction there, regarding the engines, both V6 variants (3.0 and 2.9) are Porsche designed but built in Audi engine plant. Porsche introduced both engines in Panamera before any Audi had them. Its obvious they will be sharing parts, and they have been for a long time now, I have a Cayenne like yours (958 model) for example all the door lock mechanism are Audi built parts... I know they are because I had to replace on both rear doors and fuel filler cap. Anyway... great review like always!
in the videos I saw how you have tried four amazing cars the Cadillac escalade the Audi sq7 the bmw x7 and the mercedes gls. which of the four impressed you the most? Which of the four do you think is the best car overall, if we can say such a thing among four excellent cars.
In relative terms new car prices in Canada are some of the most affordable in the entire world. What I mean when you look how weak our $ is and how salaries compare to other countries. Also our taxes on new cars are very small too.
@Hugh MacIsaac I agree with your price assessments but the fact that we're paying less than the 25% more than we should be paying due to currency difference doesn't alter the fact that vehicle prices are insane. So insane in fact that people mostly lease because a given monthly payment amount gets you more vehicle than say, financing, but yo're paying the highest depreciation amount with every lease payment. The vehicle will one day be worth its weight in scrap metal.
@Hugh MacIsaac that’s a luxury suv. There will always be enough people that can afford a $1,300 lease for that segment to exist. Most people in Canada can afford a nice new civic/corolla lease at around $350-$400. I think that’s still reasonable for a new car. Or I should say it was reasonable before the virus. The damage this will do to the economy and people’s ability to buy new cars will have to be seen in years to come.
Great review! I was waiting for this one and was not disappointed at all. I have an SQ5 this would be a nice upgrade with kids now. But maybe a used one with the price. Lol
Oh wow! Such beauty both inside and outside but V8? I haven’t heard this type of this engine for a long time and I knew it wouldn’t be a good gas mileage unless they add hybrid. I love 2 touch screen. As the price, too expensive! Thanks for sharing guys. Now it’s coffee time for me. 😆
thanks for the awesome video. I own a 2022 Q7 Prestige and looking if I should change to the SQ7. It would be a nice comparison on the new 2022 models Q7 Prestige is 81K and SQ7 is 100k+
Agree with your opinion that the interior is better than the cayenne. I’ve just ordered an SQ7 Vorsprung, and when I finished the test drive and got back in my 2019 Macan S; it really did make the Macan feel basic!
It is quite the upscale luxury SUV. However, at over $100,000 ... I am left feeling only moderately impressed. It is undeniably attractive on the inside, and one cannot dismiss it’s impressive power plant. But at this kind of money.... I would find myself in the much more regal Range Rover (even if option-less), and obviously only under warranty. That is ... ‘if’ I had that kind of money. Thanks for the video.
It is pricey but they are all getting very expensive. So many different options out there for 7-seaters, just have to find the right one that fits all your needs and of course budget. As always, thank you for watching.:)
I like the new format of your videos with your wife. However, I do miss the other two gentlemen you had on your channel to provide a good cross country mix. Canada is a big country with not enough Canadian content with differing perspectives. Just for your consideration.

We are very fortunate to have such talented friends to call on. You have heard their voices on countless radio and TV ads, plus animation and movie trailers. Great video! It’s on my shortlist in a couple of years. Are you sure Audi develops all V6’s for VW group? I have a 2018 SQ5 and was told it’s a Detuned Porsche V6 engine.
I think asking about this vs the Bentayga and Urus is irrelevant. They are totally different clients. People buy those no matter how much they charge because it is about identity & status.
I could not get over the fact that the sound of the engine is a reminder of how inefficient that contraption remains. In the same vein, the gear shifting one feels, I also considered a flaw rather than a feature.
My problem is not with the car or Audi. They seems to be doing well with their business, and giving buyers what they want. Heck, I don’t really have a problem per sa. I am just amused by how a lot of drivers still equates feeling the roughness and “imperfections” as “sportiness” .

@@Motormouth... I'm not an expert, but most sources out there suggests that the 4 litre V8 shared across Audi, Porsche, Bentley, and Lamborghini is actually Audi's. Are they wrong?
