There was inner fan boy screaming when it happened! That made not just my day but weirdly helped me appreciate what I was doing and not just hating everything I do :P but also not intentionally solo... Just a hermit living on the Internet!
Ok... I'm not freaking out at all! WTF!!Hey guys it's James! I just wanted to say thank you so much Rob for an unforgettable moment in my life! I got to meet yourself, Rabea and the Captain! Inspirations to myself and I'm sure many others. Honestly I am still stunned from it and I wish I wasn't so nervous but again thank you!!
It's just a riff I've had tucked away that keeps cropping up and I just come back to playing it! The section at the end had those modified power chords that Tremonti likes to use a lot :)
He hears a really cool original riff coming from the guitar room and has the cat play it for him again. Then says..."You in a band?".. The guy says "No"- "Well you should be in a band". Someone with his talent and ability hears something that grabs his attention like that. . .. Says a lot! That was just a really cool impromptu 8 to 10 second scene!
7:24.....That was the COOLEST thing I've ever seen on youtube. Stopping mid thought to compliment someone on their playing. Rob is a man of the people. Thank you so much for being who you are and doing what you do!
Nathan Lam no I know man, People like Albert King and Jimi Hendrix used to play them, but recently it's mostly in Metal, some good Jacksons, like Dave Mustaine and other metal guitarists.
It is funny but I will never forget the episode on Chappers orriginal Chanel before he was with Anderton's where he gave away the Star Wars figure back in the early days of RUclips. I wanted that darn figure so bad. I had sold off most of my SW figures after having collected them and had I gotten one from Chappers (My favorite RUclipsr at the time) I would have cherished it as part of my guitar collection even to this day. Life is very different now, but it would still hold pride of place and would still be given ever so valuable wall space. (My wife and I own so much art we have to rotate it). I have associated Chappers with guitar and Star Wars since that day and have loved him the more for it. I didn't get the figure obviously, despite only hundreds mayby 1000s subscribers he had at the time. I felt like I was so close. Honestly, I would love to own something that was Rob's ...I am kinda suprised I dont own a chappman guitar yet. I would say it is time to buy one, but now I need to save over 1000 to do it. It will have to wait though because I still need to buy an R9 which is basically my dream guitar.
Ahaha! This is hilarious... Or amazing!! I dunno! XD Honestly thank you for the kind words! I'm awful at taking compliments but if Dorje were hiring ;)
Rob is fucking awesome lol he stops like oh what's that sound hmm it sounds like an awesome riff and he goes in to meet the dude. He did put him on the spot but that was just a hell of a compliment which he gave another flattering one in you should be in a band but if he was in a band or played on RUclips than he could of plugged it right there. You can tell Chappers is a real fan of music and a student of the game.
The one thing that would of made it more epic is if he was playing a Chapman guitar and you signed it for him but he was playing Mr. Cool guy like he didn't even know you. It's ok bro you definitely sold a guitar here , the next guitar I add to my collection when I build my nest egg up again will be that guitar you already have 3 of lol I only need one though sorry. That was literally the coolest moment I have seen any RUclipsr in ... shit it was the coolest thing I seen any celebrity or rockstar do for that matter. I would of blew it by being a tool and too much of a fanboy haha here sign my girlfriends boobies lmfao .... for real though that was totally awesome and very down to earth.
In the EU, some Jedi used Red and some sith used purple, blue, etc. , Red was just more common among the sith mainly because of Darth Sidious and his students.
"If it was to be pronounced Maryland they shouldn't have spelled it Maryland". Okay. I'm heading over to Lei-ces-ter square meeting a mate that's just arrived from york-shire. We're heading over to Nor-which afterwards, and maybe we'll drop by Ply-mouth too.
Fellowship: Jimmy Page Dragon Tele (duh), or Goldtop Les Paul, and some kind of gold Marshall or a green amp. Sauron Army: Some black and red metal guitar, or a Tele Noir, and a high-gain amp.
The most logical course would be for Chapman guitars to buy a stake in Victory amps once CG gets big enough to think about acquisitions, Blackstar are too big now for CG to buy into but Victory are still small enough to be a viable partner company.
I agree, especially since they never really REVIEW anything just DEMO/SHOWCASE.The boss waza amp sucks Ass & they gave it props.Really used to like this channel & I think it has SOME good moments, but after finding TONY MACKENZIE channel I really lost some respect for these guys.Their Chapman guitars are awesome though!!!
+Thom Yanks good point, never looked at it that way,so it's really comedy??? just thought that with their skill they'd be reviewing....I stand corrected😊
Rob, as a human being and a subscriber to your channel.Seeing you recognize someone else as a musician and someone with talent INDEED, i tip my hat to you, and you have solidified my faith in humanity, you are model human being , for that i give you much respect BRO!!!! Guitar players unite!!
Quite possibly the most tenuous and random video ever!! 😁 Enjoyable just to watch you 2 clown around for half an hour! I really thought you would go for an orange Orange Rob because of the Rebellion pilots flight suits!! That HW Tint Terror is immense though!
JuwanHoward05 its terrible its no where as good as A new hope its the same story concept yes but the movie doesnt really stand well by itself its like the second worst film
Because Rey is a mary sue and they leave out viable information about certain characters to create a 'mystery' of some sort but all it does is making you wonder why the people do what they do. And the setting makes no sense at all??? There is a new government in the galaxy any some regime has 10x the power the one had that has just been defeat? It sucks...
Oh, man! This episode reminds me of the rig I used to have with my old metal band! A black Gibson V with a mirror pickguard and red Bare Knuckle Painkillers plugged into a block 5150 with a custom faceplate that said "Darth" on top of a Vader cab.
+anonny mouse Hayden Christensen's best line was "I HATE YOU!" Also he did best when he didn't say much but showed his emotions through his facial expressions.
WhiteSaucage Scar watching the 2008 Clone Wars currently, avoided it for a while because the movie did not really excite me that much. But it's a lot better than I expected and I got hooked on it after a few episodes!
machete order is the best way to watch star wars. it goes 4-5-2-3-6, skipping 1 entirely. it only shows the relevant parts of Vader's backstory, and also almost completely gets rid of jar-jar (who has 5 lines in episode 2, and none in episode 3). with that order, it starts off with the film that does the best job of establishing the universe, gives you the relevant stories of both luke and anakin, and intertwines them at the end with the most satisfying finish. it's also the best order to show a first timer because it preserves the one huge spoiler, and then leaves you on a cliffhanger as it goes into vader's backstory once the spoiler is revealed (essentially turning 2 and 3 into a 4 hour, 42 minute flashback sequence), and then it cuts to the beginning of episode 6, where it shows some pretty concerning behaviour from luke. it preserves the narrative flow, keeps luke as the main focus of the story and recontextualizes the two important movies of the prequel trilogy into something actually worthwhile. as for episode 1? it's suggested that if you _really want to watch it_, do it after as a sort of appendix.
Yeah it's me! XD I've been meaning to get into uploading stuff but I just never figured out what I really wanted to create content wise :) And thank you!! \m/
Let's not get upset about how we English pronounce place names, Leicester, Birmingham, Bicester and for any one who lives in West Dorset: Puncknowle (punnel) WTF?!
I was about to make a similar comment. If "Mary-Land" is "proper English," then let's just make it fair across the board: "Chis-Wick," "Lie-Caster," "Birming-Ham," "War-Wick," "Glow-Cester," "Wor-Cester." That's fair, right? :-P
I must say, the integrity of NOT using your own brand is awesome. It really says a lot about you, as well as all of the people that are a part of the various shows in the Chapman and Anderton's video series
I know I'm wayyy late on this game, but I've recently become a fan of your channel as I've been bitten by the guitar bug again. My suggestion for a movie based shootout would be Close Encounters of the Third Kind, remember the aliens communicated with sound, so we should have the aliens jamming and the humans fighting back soniclly . Intergalactic sound wars! Keep up the great work and videos please ( love the light saber sound Rob )
the captain's rig sounded fantastic. I can honestly say that is the best sounding rig I've ever heard since I've been watching these videos. yeah the price is a little out there but wow, that kicks!
Back to the future challenge - 50s style vintage gear vs 2016 modern gear.
YESYESYESYES
YESSSSSSS
Great Scott! this!
I second this
Pleeeaaaaase
What kind of amp does Jar Jar use?
Mesa Boogie!
up you go
God damnit. God damn you to hell.
This is the single greatest RUclips comment of all time.
Top comment for sure
he got about to the garage........bang
"Are you in a band?" *Oh my god, Rob Chapman is going to ask me to audition for a band*
"No"
"You should be"
*;-;*
LOL! I thought the same thing.
There was inner fan boy screaming when it happened! That made not just my day but weirdly helped me appreciate what I was doing and not just hating everything I do :P but also not intentionally solo... Just a hermit living on the Internet!
He was probably going to give a shoutout
+Ben Carroll definitely would have done
was that you bro? Sounded amazing!
#James4Dorje
Ha, I didn't even think you knew who he was. Well done!
You were great!
What was the riff? sounded like mark tremonti or something.
It's just a riff I've had tucked away that keeps cropping up and I just come back to playing it! The section at the end had those modified power chords that Tremonti likes to use a lot :)
the Belgian guy here. thanks for slicing me up Rob, it was an honor!
You should have said "This is not the belgian you're looking for.", and wave your hand.
You are welcome ;-)
Fleming or walloon? :)
Fleming haha, this just makes it more difficult for the rest of the world
Ah! ne vlaming se ;) . valt het wat mee in engeland?
I'm surprised Captain didn't take a David Gilmour custom strat.. He could have had the dark side of the moon on his side.
aayyyy!!
Thats no moon... its a battlestation
That's genius
best comment to a dumb video like this ever.
I agree completely.
Does Lee remind you of C3PO more than Vader or is it just me?
I thoroughly agree
Best part of the whole video is when Rob stops everything to listen to that guy play😂
That guy just commeted above you..
It was a very cool riff, to be fair... ;-)
I think Lee should have taken a ''Blackstar'' amp
Same man
Could've even gotten some butt jokes out of it.
The Orange dark terror seems better
Always thought Black Custom is the best guitar design ever
Yes! I love Backstars!
Do a crossroads one! Where rob is the 'devil' with a metal/shred rig and capt with the classical rig
+Steve Hudson
Lee never saw the movie, at lest that's what he said in another video.
How could he not see a blues based guitar movie, that just screams Lee Anderton
That movie has as much to do with guitar as The Karate Kid has to do with martial arts (hint: sparring is not evil).
Still seeing the captain battling for his sole what be something I would watch. Lee v jack butler.
The Devil Went Down to Anderton's, he was looking for a rig to play
He hears a really cool original riff coming from the guitar room and has the cat play it for him again.
Then says..."You in a band?"..
The guy says "No"-
"Well you should be in a band".
Someone with his talent and ability hears something that grabs his attention like that. . .. Says a lot!
That was just a really cool impromptu 8 to 10 second scene!
"I wanna be one from a GOOD film!"
My hero.
Thomas Lheureux ikr
Could you imagine walking into a guitar shop and seeing two grown men playing with lightsabres??
If I did, I'd want to go to that shop allot more often
I'm 50 and my daughter is 25 and we had a battle all over a Wal-Mart and 2 o'clock in the morning, until that asked us to leave.
*lightsabers
Cheers from America

Nah, Nerf stuff is foam
I miss the good old days. 😞 I’ve been rewatching the golden era lately.
Seeing the Captain make Star Wars sounds - priceless.
About six grand~~~ Garsh.
you would get a kick out of that video of rabea playing star wars on the ibanez rgkp6
7:24.....That was the COOLEST thing I've ever seen on youtube. Stopping mid thought to compliment someone on their playing. Rob is a man of the people. Thank you so much for being who you are and doing what you do!
"hey look, the overrated special... that could apply to anything that's not the first 3 films"
*apply cold water to the burned area*
Lets be real, Vader would've played a 7-string bass
yeah! 😂
Do those exist?
Yes and 8 string and 10 string and 18 string
Andrew Pappas there's a 24 string bass I have seen it
deltasquad62 Cool
These aren't the rigs you're looking for ....
Lol
The way he laughs after he says “imperial credits” gets me every freaking time. So funny
Vader would use a Flying V
exactly my thought! the dark side listens to metal!!!
I have a t-shirt of vader with a flying V
+Patrick Koekenbier Hopefully you know the V wasn't designed for playing metal in 1958.
Nathan Lam no I know man, People like Albert King and Jimi Hendrix used to play them, but recently it's mostly in Metal, some good Jacksons, like Dave Mustaine and other metal guitarists.
Patrick Koekenbier okay great, I just dislike people going into the stereotype of Flying V's being only associated with Metal haha.
It is funny but I will never forget the episode on Chappers orriginal Chanel before he was with Anderton's where he gave away the Star Wars figure back in the early days of RUclips. 100%
Sum 41 is doing it just fine
Ahaha! This is hilarious... Or amazing!! I dunno! XD Honestly thank you for the kind words! I'm awful at taking compliments but if Dorje were hiring ;)
probably terrible. that's super out of key.
Rob is fucking awesome lol he stops like oh what's that sound hmm it sounds like an awesome riff and he goes in to meet the dude. Being told by Rob that you should be in a band is about as good as it gets.
That riff that James played was KILLER, nice Dorje-y vibe to it
Darth Vader would have used a 7 or 8 string.
I think you're right. I really do.
Certainly not!
True
In the times of the empire such contraptions weren't in existence ; )
dime razorback
Quality of videos seriously going up! Love all these challenge vids and the bump up in comedy! Keep up the good work!
Couldn't have rob got a purple guitar? Mace Windu was Jedi
They make it extremely obvious that they don't want anything to do with the prequels
In the EU, some Jedi used Red and some sith used purple, blue, etc. , Red was just more common among the sith mainly because of Darth Sidious and his students.
It's a moot point now since the UK is leaving the EU.
Ilum I believe, and yes you are correct. The synthetic crystals usually made the user turn to the dark side.
Cullen James Bra-fucking-vo
This right here is why I fucking LOVE this channel and you guys.
How about a band vs band challenge? Led Zeppelin vs The Who, maybe?
Yes!
Yeees
AC/DC vs Black Sabbath
Deep purple vs Rainbow
AC/DC and Guns and Roses
Awesome! Rob, you seem to have a knack of making people feel really good! I am sure you made that Belgian dude and that guitarist's day!
when will the results of the rig competition be released? :D
i am also waiting
same, its the reason i made this channel, i need to upload
This is a great idea for a whole series of videos! The possibilities are endless.
Shoutout to Plymouth!
Samuel Pentecost "shout out to a shit hole"
Want to sail down The Thames after?
TIL that Chappers is a total Star Wars geek. As if I needed another reason to love his videos.
Lee & Rob - What are your thoughts on Rogue One?
Looks great!!
+Rob Chapman Its out?
+ofir izhar ofcourse not haha just a trailers can give you opinions ;p
+thehawk ofmetal Oh
+ofir izhar I have it
When Rob went into the guitar room excited about a good guitarist shows how passionate and how much he loves music. It made me smile for some reason.
Lee could've gone all-out Stromtrooper (white ES-335 and an Orange Thunderverb).
I love seeing Chappers nerdy side come through! Bespin, imperial credits, etc 👍🏽
for a good vs bad they could do The Fellowship vs Sauron's Army
UniversalArc27 yes
duuuuuuude
Isn’t that what AA is called? The fellowship. All set.
Fellowship: Jimmy Page Dragon Tele (duh), or Goldtop Les Paul, and some kind of gold Marshall or a green amp.
Sauron Army: Some black and red metal guitar, or a Tele Noir, and a high-gain amp.
Star Wars and Guitar? The two greatest things in the world in one place! The force is strong with this video!
Will there ever be a chapman amp series?
not if he continues with Victory
yeah i agree but damn some of the victory amps are expensive
Hopefully not.
The most logical course would be for Chapman guitars to buy a stake in Victory amps once CG gets big enough to think about acquisitions, Blackstar are too big now for CG to buy into but Victory are still small enough to be a viable partner company.
You guys are nuts, great fun as always!
These guys should do a podcast
Amazingly Chappers actually kinda got some clean tones in this vid. Didn't think that was possible!
Running out of ideas much haha?
I agree, especially since they never really REVIEW anything just DEMO/SHOWCASE.The boss waza amp sucks Ass & they gave it props.Really used to like this channel & I think it has SOME good moments, but after finding TONY MACKENZIE channel I really lost some respect for these guys.Their Chapman guitars are awesome though!!!
No way. This is one of their best vids
+Didds a few minutes in and I think I agree with you
+Thom Yanks good point, never looked at it that way,so it's really comedy??? just thought that with their skill they'd be reviewing....I stand corrected😊
Probably a RUclips first ^^^
"I only wanna be one from a GOOD film!"
Simply. Brilliant!!!
A BC Rich Warlock would have been sithier but the les Paul sounds better.
I can just watch you guys bro it up all day and its actually dope! and hilarious.
Not the first time you and captain had a sword fight....
Man that Vela is gorgeous, both in looks and sound
If i were rob i wouldve chosen the evh 5150 III in white with a matching cab
"If this guitar was a movie, jar jar wouldn't be in it"
Best quote of all time
"if you strike me down i shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine" is what you meant to say Champpers
Such a cool video idea! Enjoyed the hole video
Rebel scumbuckers. A great set of pickups, don't you know
Andrew Bailey ; lmao at that one!
I love the random edits like the one at 9:10. Those effects are hilarious!
-Be Kylo Ren!
-No!
-Why?
-I only want to be one from a good film.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 truth
Good boy Lee! :D
Your videos are so great and fun to watch that every time I see something new on your channel I feel like I'm meeting with my good old friends)
If lee can pick black/grey he can pick every single amp in existence except orange lol.
+ orange sort of counts as red so...
And Orange amps sometimes make black amps...
+Rabidius I have a black Orange Crush 20
Rob, as a human being and a subscriber to your channel.Seeing you recognize someone else as a musician and someone with talent INDEED, i tip my hat to you, and you have solidified my faith in humanity, you are model human being , for that i give you much respect BRO!!!! Guitar players unite!!
i also have all the ewok movies on dvd lol
Lee should have picked that 5150 stealth
Quite possibly the most tenuous and random video ever!! 😁 Enjoyable just to watch you 2 clown around for half an hour! I really thought you would go for an orange Orange Rob because of the Rebellion pilots flight suits!! That HW Tint Terror is immense though!
Lee how can The Force Awakens be a bad film if its exactly the same as the first Star Wars
That's true.
because its the same as the trust movie. same as the new ghost busters.
JuwanHoward05 but it's not
JuwanHoward05 its terrible its no where as good as A new hope its the same story concept yes but the movie doesnt really stand well by itself its like the second worst film

I play through the dark side rig everyday. I own a boogie v:25 and a black ‘70 les Paul custom. Great selection Cap!
While I agree, Maryland was one of the original 13 colonies, so your country gave it the name and pronunciation...
Oh, man! This episode reminds me of the rig I used to have with my old metal band! A black Gibson V with a mirror pickguard and red Bare Knuckle Painkillers plugged into a block 5150 with a custom faceplate that said "Darth" on top of a Vader cab.
why didnt the cap chose an SG. the obvious choice
I have been waiting for this all my life. I got my chiSP (esp copy) black with red inlays because darth Vader. Best. Video. Ever.
Alec Guinness DID take a percentage of the gross to the tune of £50million+
Yup.
yes! Sir Alec did in fact go for the percentage!
Mzrts12 one of the first actors to do so.
Unlike Darth, he still hasn't been paid for any of his work due to "Hollywood accounting"
that riffage in the background as chapters makes his choice is awesome
Come on the Black EVH amp looked much more darth vader
Lee's "Imperial March" rendition was gorgeous! Full cover please!
I liked episode 3....fight me!
But I think we can all agree George Lucas is better at making television shows than movies in the last 20 years.
+shockt9610 the Clone Wars and Rebels \m/
I enjoyed the prequels... But I can't argue with people saying they are messed up.

I love the hell out of these videos, you guys are do much fun to watch. So many cool people in England, too bad I'm stuck here in the USA.
Captain Amercia vs Iron Man challenge, the Captain would be the actual Captain and Chappers would be C-3P...ehm Iron Man

Batman VS The Joker
hearing lee mention the flaw in the deathstar after rogue one is great
I think Vader would use a starcaster
Curtain Poles he would use a flying v
"I only want to pick one from a good film." You have no idea how much we agree!
I want to be that James guy Rob was watching, James if you're here. You're lucky.
Was the best day of my life! Honestly made my day! Love the Rammstein covers!
+JKMusic you lucky son of a gun! Haha thank you!
JKMusic, are you the James?! You should also upload more guitar videos! Nice Alter Bridge cover by the way! \m/
Yeah it's me! XD I've been meaning to get into uploading stuff but I just never figured out what I really wanted to create content wise :) And thank you!! \m/

I love the editing on these videos
Darth Vader uses PRS but the emperor uses theremin for the unlimited power.
Oh my and a Flash Gordon reference too? You guys are too much fun and awesome.
These jams are starting to sound the same
Fun time, guys. I love the rig building videos.
I must say, the integrity of NOT using your own brand is awesome. It really says a lot about you, as well as all of the people that are a part of the various shows in the Chapman and Anderton's video series
Enjoy the hell out of you two...plus I've learned a ton....here's to you from Mocksville,North Carolina, USA
