Bought one of these. Hygger is a good brand BUT with mounting bracket on the end the light sagged down (Not level) & bracket would NOT slide down the side to the middle. Sent it back for a refund. Also it doesn't swing up out of the way for tank maintenance. Bought a Hygger HG978 to replace. Great light!

Yeah I did think the mounting bracket a little on the low end quality wise, but a shame to hear yours sagged. I'll hopefully get the other hygger clip on LED to review it next as they seem really different.

With the 978 you can side it forward or back or lift off for tank maintenance access. Love the sunrise to sunset feature these have.

Nice video! Really helpful for me to see if it's suitable for my tank and it is.

Hello! I wanted to make a full planted aquarium with only macro algae but with different types of macro algaes!
I wanted to ask some questions regarding this
I currently have red gracilaria on a 6500k bulb which is about 40 watts and the colour of the red gracilaria is about a bit brownish with a tint of red does this mean its not getting enough light?
Would any full spectrum freshwater plant light work on macro algaes? Or could i just use the same 40watt 6500k daylight led bulb for the macro tank?
