A product called Naturalpoint TrackIR. You'll never feel the same about flying after you have one! If my TrackIR were to ever break, I wouldn't fly until it was fixed :)
after trying and trying i fully understand what you mean. "had some pee in my eyes" (german saying when you so happy you cry) after my first landing. i ran screaming around the house telling everyone.... guess they werent that much interessted. xD
i have been told that: what it does is that it makes the engine run above normal giving more thrust but it greatly reduces the engines lifespan so it is practicly never used as the engine provides enough thrust in "normal" conditions...
can you do any guides on manuvers? Split S, Corner turning ( Above, Below) Extending (Obvious to knowing but still) and other useful manuvers much thanks in advance Trekari
I have only had marginal success in adjusting the mouse sensitivity on my own PC for BMS. My only suggestion is to play with your sensitivity in windows before going into BMS and see if that helps anything. Sorry.
I can't seem to get contact with the tower. I have no problem when I radio my wingman or the Awacs for example but I can never seem to get contact with the tower.
Hello, i am absolutely new in falcon bms and i have some problem with the ramp start procedure. I do not have the scales and the AOA bracket on the HUD. Do you have an idea what is wrong? I uploaded a short video of my ramp start. Check it please!
Check your HUD switches on the lower front-right of the cockpit. The Sensor Power Control Panel, and the HUD Remote Control Panel. Specifically, the panel labeled "HUD," the first two switches on the top row. I suspect you have the ATT/FPM switch set to OFF, and that is likely the issue. That switch should be set to ATT/FPM (fully forward).
Jason Cavanaugh Thanks for your tips! I tried it again but failed. I followed your suggestions and the problem is the same. I still do not have the scales FPM and AOA bracket.
The problem I have is every time I'm ready to taxi out, I take my parking breaks off and I radio the tower to taxi out but my jet goes straight... My steering wheel doesn't respond. It just goes straight. I can't find the switch. Thats my problem.
am not sure why but my mouse sensitivity seems to be extremely slow when I'm trying to press the switches in the cockpit !! even the game doesn't allow me to change the mouse sensitivity in the controllers section under the setup menu !!! any ideas/help please ?!
Can anyone tell me if is there a problem in case I maintain the parking brake switch ON since the first second I get in the jet? Because in F4AF manual it's the first thing the ramp start guide tell us to do.
***** I cannot speak to what condition the ground crew may or may not leave the jet in. The steps in this 3-part series are directly from actual F-16 manuals. Follow these steps, and you'll be doing it as close to the real-deal as BMS allows, with the caveat that squadron SOP's likely differ from the -1.
Jason Cavanaugh I got it. Thanks a lot. In fact, I search a lot and find out this ramp start sequence is the most realistic I could find. Very nice job.
+MostPeopleAreStupid I use a 360 controller and the only real problem I have is that engine power stays at 50%. you have to hold it in position with the anologue stick which is difficult when landing and generally maintaining speed. I will invest in a decent stick in the new year. my pc is an i5 3500 with a gt630 nvidia card and 16gb ram. I happy with the graphics but would live to upgrade the graphics card
+MostPeopleAreStupid with the mmb on the mouse. you can hold lmb to swivel your head and use the interactive cockpit a lot easier. I use the keyboard for the hot keys and the 360 controller to fly
I cant say for certain mate. But I would imagine the high end stuff would have features likr force feedback and the like. I always watch youtube reviews on certain things before I buy them so you should try it. I advise to check 3 or 4 vids on the same product to avoid fanboys or bias for a product
Online is the best way to fly it! New PVP Campaign starting this week... Check out the BMS website benchmarksims d ot org (since youtubes doesn't like links) and Base Operations for PVP Round 4.
Definitive ramp start guide and slick presentation. The benchmark for tutorial videos.
The first time I started my F16 on my own using the correct start up procedure I shed manly tears of happiness...
Great job! It is always great to see someone playing the sim with such a high level of detail.

@livinghornet
I looked up a guide on setting up the data cartridge and it works fine now, thanks for the tip!
Smooth, Precision Enabled.
You're quite welcome.
Glad it was useful for you!
Great video series on how to do it right! Thank you!
I'm glad you found it useful. I know it isn't updated for 4.33 (and frankly never will be.)
Clear skies and tailwinds.
@@Trekari any new upcomming videos my any chance?

It is your NWS button. Shift-/ if you don't have it mapped, otherwise it's the button on the right side of the sidestick controller.
Thanks Jason for a great video
You can click on the AIR SOURCE knob through the armrest. Check your mouse cursor - it'll change to green when you're in the right spot.
i have been told that: what it does is that it makes the engine run above normal giving more thrust but it greatly reduces the engines lifespan so it is practicly never used as the engine provides enough thrust in "normal" conditions...
Which Track IR profile do you use? It's rock solid. Any special setting? What is your smoothing setting?
Thank you very much for doing this.
You can still click the knob "through" the armrest. Look for the mouse cursor to snap and change color. One click only.
No, just someone who likes doing things "the right way" in simulators. :)
Very good tutorial! Thank you.
Priceless video thanks
Hey Mate, great tutorial!! what's the best way to get this game??
Cheers.
That is NWS. You have to engage it using Shift /
Or if you have NWS/AR DISC/ MSL STEP programmed on your joystick, it's that button.
can you do any guides on manuvers? Split S, Corner turning ( Above, Below) Extending (Obvious to knowing but still) and other useful manuvers much thanks in advance Trekari
Perfect tutorial!
The "Dash 1" as they call it is the F-16C Block 50/52 Flight Manual. T.O. GR1F-16CJ-1.
Thank you so much for your help!!!!
You have to radio the tower and request them to remove the chocks. Unless you're talking about NWS, in which case it's Shift /
Profile: Smooth
Motion Control : Speed 1, Smooth 10
Video procession mode: Precision
Precision mode smoothing: 100
Very good!!!

thnx for ur reply
How many buttons are there? Seems like a TON. But still interesting nonetheless.
Where do I get the BMS from? I have Falcon 4 allied force already...mind you need a better PC to run it on:)
do you guys play this online at all? have your own community/server?
i can go into the 3d cockpit but i cant get to look around fully up and down left right.
how do u do it?
I can't seem to get contact with the tower. I have no problem when I radio my wingman or the Awacs for example but I can never seem to get contact with the tower.
cant seem to find the a/r disc button in the sim...is it a hotas button?
ok so in the real jet too its the button on the stick?? so to disc a/r you just press the nws button
How are you on lock the wheels. To taxi out??? Please help!!!!
brilliant thanks!!

Thanks!
Yes.
Watching in 2020

I can t get to my air con switch. How do you lean forward like in the video?
Found it. You hold MMB to lean
I don't know what I was thinking when I tried it but I said I'd put it up because there were a few times when a game infuriated me

I use TrackIR
Naturalpoint TrackIR
The -1 literally says "The MAX POWER switch, located on the left console,
is inoperative."
What Block is this?
+gold333 Block 52
Off the top of my head, the -1 just says it's inoperable. As in it does nothing in the real F-16C. I don't have a better answer for you than that.

It doesn't run on Allied Force, you need the original Falcon 4.0
Sorry. :(
@dlgustn12 I don't understand your comment.
are you real pilot? :D
gamata file! :P
how are you able to pan the camera around like that?
