Krause Krauze Could you please answer a question for me about the f-16. for tactical engagement: take-off the picture on the loading screen says that my engine is a pw 220 type E has 25,000 pounds of thrust. but I thought in bms we fly the block 50 f16 with a 229 with 29,000 pounds of thrust. Is the two seater in the tactical engagements not a block 50?. Also when taking off with full burner my engine rpm is about 96% and my engine noz is between 95 and 100, is this the right performance. I am just getting a bit paranoid, because I am not accelerating in a climb(even clean) at the rate I thought I would be.
Kevin Morrissey Same happens to me ,and what I can't understand is that the plane in turns and in steep turns rapidly loose speed,like it can't go over 200 kts, and in climbs loose speed also... wtf!? :D Extra 300 have better maneuverability than this F16 :D

I've practiced so much lately I can do almost everything in one sweep. Now I'm just trying to figure out what buttons are A-A and A-G weapon select buttons are now so I can finish rebinding everything.

Krause I would like to see you do a single player run through of the campaign in a Let's Playey way. There are no other one on You tube and you have such a great voice and style for it.
Wulfle I never play singleplayer. And it would be a bit unnatural for me to rely on and work with AI. I could do something like this in multiplayer, where I lower the base volume and provide commentary over it. I sorta did this in my wingman tutorial, as well as short clips of other videos. Maybe i'll give it a shot for an entire mission start to finish.
Well if you could get a small band of 3 other pilots together and do an entire campaign start-to-finish, that would be even better! I would honestly love to see something like that. how do i get back into SP / GM mode once i have used last MK20 or MK82 ? the left MFD seems to get stuck in a strafe / DF mode and i can't track ground radar contacts or even call up GMT / SEA mode . i've tried SMS / CNTL / OVRD / and still no joy..' help me krausey wan, you're my only hope ' ..
When I press up down "," key arrow key of my falcon 4.32, the plane doesn't do left rudder but move my view point to left, "." key becomes view point to left, "L" becomes viewpoint to central. I didn't make any changes. Do you know the possible reason that these keys doesn't do what they suppose to do? Is there another key I should press together? I actually try ctrl or alt or shift with right arrow key and none pf these 2-key combination works. Pls don't ask me why I am still using 4.32 instead of upgrade to 4.35. I like old version.
When i do my rampstart in 4.33, I always get an avionics fault and an IFF fault... When I get them, I usually clear them in the mfd test page. But when i then take off I have "NO RAD" displayed on my hud. What could be causing these problems? Also with 4.33 I sometimes experience a weird cockpit wobble at certain times while flying...I have no idea what could be causing that. (like my wings are flapping/flexing without manouvring) ...really weird.
+Maciej Bałauszko I talked to Snax (amazing BMS pilot) about it. He says everybody has the same issue in 4.33 (avionics and iff) for now. There is something wrong in the programming of the rampstart tactical engagement. So the thing to do for now is just clearing the faults in your test page. For the "No Rad" message...I figured that one out. I skipped a step on my mfd which caused the message to stay on all the time. And the wing flapping... It is normal. Pilots call it "fluttering". It happens when you exceed certain speeds with certain load-out configurations of the jet. As you can see I am still learning everything....but I'm slowly getting the hang of most things. I hope this was helpfull ;)

Hey, I know you posted this a year ago but do you have any idea about whether this bug is fixed yet? I too get IFF and avionics faults on the caution panel. Also my INS Align seems to continue infinitely until it reaches 99.9, then stops (I still get an ALIGN warning on the HUD though).
Great plane. Can't wait to have it in DCS. BMS is unplayable for me for key binding reasons. Great video nevertheless. Really helpful for new pilots. thank you.
that's a rumor and since F16 is outdated, with states like Israel phasing them out of service, we can only hope for the best.. also we can expect to see f-18 next year. Well see.
one thing: your mouse cursor is moving just like a normal one. but mine is moving slowly and innacurate, i also noticed that your chocks in place writing is smaller. what options do you use?

It just goes straight on, passing across the taxiway and going into the grass, whitout even trying to turn left or right. What do I do?? P.s sorry if anything is wrong, but I'm not english
How can I change my data cartridge to have the right tower frequency? I'm in the ramp start TE and even after loading my data cartridge, I'm still not hearing anything and can't remove chocks.
+Anaximander29A Yep. It's in the docs in your BMS folder. I'm sure some of the virtual fighter squadrons have full procedures as well. Takes about 5-10 more mins than in this video.

This is the simpliest and best ramp start tutorial I've ever seen. Maybe somebody can help me. My HUD is almost blank. I have gun crosshair, the speed index (but not the scale) the altitude index (but not the scale), a NO RADAR text and the G meter. And that is all. I don't have heading scale, flight path marker, pitch scale etc. I am sure that I've turned all the switches in the correct position, as in the video. NO RADAR test does not disapper after engage the FCR correctly, and bit test done. Does anybody know what should I do different way?
Krause Thanks, I've checked it again, but I have all my switces in the same position as yours in the video. (Radar in stby position) After bit test done, I still have the NO RADAR text on the HUD, and still have not scales, nav mod, or any other. Do you have an other idea?
Krause and this is the situation if I choose a runway start or taxi. Moreover, it is the same not only in TE, but in the campaign mod. So my HUD is absolutely useless. I am sure that I make something not correctly, but I can not recognize what.

Krause OK thanks I figured it out. I was trying to figure out how to type a decimal into the ICP, turns out you don't need to. I also figured out how to "set tower" in the data cartridge thing.

Make sure you set your data cartridge to have the right tower frequency.

The AG and AA buttons are on the panel in between the two MFD's where the number pad is. They are right beside the IFF button

There are maps of the airbases in the docs folder within your bms install directory. Everyone pretty much "Wings it" though.

You need to engage nose wheel steering. Default key is shift /
Ok but, to remove chocks, I press shift / so... you say that after I call the tower to remove chocks I have to press shift / again?
Davide Roversi you should be removing chocks through the tower (t) menu. Bottom line is you need to engage nws

Umm the engine feed nob doesn't need to be activated to give fuel to the engine. It just activates the fuel pumps.

You didn't turn your air conditioning on bud - you fried your avionics (EQUIP HOT warning on the fault panel). Watch here: 2:38

Are you sure you didn't overheat your equipment? make sure you turn on air conditioning! I believe overheated equipment will scrub your rampstart.
