After working on my project 97 3/4 ton dodge for a month pressure washing three times and trying to stop all the oil leaks, not only laying in the after birth of all the grease and oil on the floor the old truck has accumulated for the last 27 years finally pulled it out of the shop and scraped the floor up, washed it, cleaned up the tools, scrubbed the hide off my hands, arms and face, threw away my old coveralls my brother called and said he was coming up to pick up a few things he had stored here. He had to sell his couple year old truck because of being short of money and bought a older truck. Wouldn’t tell me what it was and when he got here I would see. Well it was a 2001 3/4 ton dodge. Leaking every kind of fluid, needed brakes and other stuff so last two weeks that greasy pig got some love. Guess some of us were born just to swim in grease and oil. Jeff wins again!!!!

    Jeff wins..! Awesome..!
You are on the home stretch.
I recall a Rush Limbaugh quote, regarding climate change, “if we are to believe that we humans can effect the weather on this planet, then we are some very arrogant people to think we can do what god has done”…, or some words to that effect…, may that man rest in peace.
And regarding “Warren”, over at (western truck and tractor repair), has got to be the hardest workin mechanic, and over flowing with knowledge.
    Great video,
    Thank you sir.

I learned a lot about working on old iron by watching you on your channel. Plus I like the way you just explain what you want to do and how it actually works out. But the best part and hilarious part is when you go all Alvin the chipmunk. That's hilarious and the various issues you had while working on the galion crane. Goes to show that iron is easier to work on in most ways than the new equipment. No computerized BS to deal with on the old equipment. Thank you for the videos and Jeff always wins .

Jeff, I'm sure you bleeped a bunch of F Bombs out of the video as I certainly would have had a lot if it was me installing the valve. Great video and I'm glad you are winning. It will be good to get this crane working, so you can work on the dozer.

I can't believe how much work he gets through!
Mind you he does seem to be out of the house 14 hours a day.
His customers probably don't know how lucky they are - or maybe they do, and that's why he gets so much work.
Some of which is trucked to him from out of state!
I too, sometimes, sit or stand or lie back and appreciate what I've just accomplished. Not very productive but quite satisfying!

A 20' circle of gears and transmission fluid was visible. I grabbed my lunch pail and headed for my pickup.

  • @boomupengineering
    @boomupengineering 6 месяцев назад

You need one of those mini lever hoists. Harrington and CM both have 1/4T and 1/2T versions and they are small. CM's are made in China and can be had pretty cheap, sometimes off of eBay. Elephant is a lesser known Japanese brand and from what I've seen, they are good. Crosby bought Kito/Harrington and they are more American made than most other chain and lever hoists. Again, super-handy mini chain lever hoists. But I do like pneumatic tools, including air hoists. Definitely high dollar stuff but can last forever.
    CM 602 & 603
    Harrington LX003 & LX005
Just have to try finding a reasonable deal on 10ft chain lengths. Seems that Bidenomics has the prices way up.
