Omg i completey forgot about that. Though to play devil's advocate it did kinda incentivise you to play with other people so at the very least you could have people to revive you for free
Leaving this to see if I get some stuff right - Movement is slide melee - Kubrow is a pain in the ass to maintain alive - Void Key endurance - Rhino Prime packing - Vauban's funni electric balls - Nekros was a pain in the ass to farm
Pretty much. You could always run slowly and then jock due to stamina, but coptering a.k.a melee sliding was the meta. It was a skill to master in of itself. Kubrows and Kavats were so painful to keep alive initially that most players didn't use them and they could permanently die within the mission if ignored. Vauban was a meta frame in release. His Vortex could pretty much instakill anything for example and no CC immune eximuses to destroy CC abilities. But even more than that, did you know that Stug was once a meta weapon. Yes. Stug was a meta weapon.
Yeah. We caller slide meleeing "Coptering" back then, because it gave a LOT of horizontal momentum with high enough attack speed and the right weapon, like the Dual Zoren.
BAH, I found warframe because I was a poor boy from a poor family looking for anything ftp that wasn't another pvp shooter. No way I was gonna afford that $250 price tag.
And still is. He is one of those frames that would need their 3rd rework especially since his only purpose was removed ever since eximus 2.0 system. But he is so rarely used that I wonder if even DE remembers of his existance.
The whole "Limbo is useless after Eximus rework" is an extremely overblown issue. You have subsumes to use to counter them if you're really that annoyed and incapable of dealing with Eximus units. Put on Silence. Eximus units still can't hurt you in the Rift with their guns as their bullets get frozen by Stasis and with Silence on, they can't use their abilities either. Sure, he needs a rework to make him less clunky to use but how exactly are you going to go about it without completely erasing what makes him Limbo in the first place? His Rift mechanic is a very unique thing, remove that and his identity is completely destroyed. Honestly from my years of playing Limbo, the main issue he has is the way how the Rift plane works. Your average Warframe player does not like playing around the restrictions of the Rift(needing to be given 'permission' to be in and out of the Rift by Limbo himself) nor do they want to learn the nuances involving the Rift plane. A Mesa typed out slurs in chat because I *accidentally* banished them(thanks, AoE Banish changes) saying "I can't damage enemies now you XXX". Funny that not a lot of people know that Warframe abilities go through Rift, with Limbo+Mesa in particular being a *very* popular combo for long endurance runs back in Void Key days. @@Jenkkimie
@@damearstor2120he’s still really good to use for defence type missions, especially for farming citrine, just use max range bubble and freeze every enemy (just hope a nullifier doesn’t pop ur bubble)
@@damearstor2120 Banish is a joke. You just have to roll and you're out of it but a lot of players don't know this. Limbo is still the king of interception, excavation and mobile defence IMHO. You just have to make it a min range max duration build.
Man I feel old. I started playing in the beginning of 2013 and when Plains of Eidolon came in 2017, I feel like that was just yesterday. Looking back at the pictures though, yeah it was quite different too.
also started playing in 2017, and when i recently decided to look back on someone starting warframe for the first time around the same time i started, i immediately noticed the HUGE differences in the beginning segment. the ui has also gone through many changes, and a ton more content has been added.
I was there, Gandalf... I was there 3000 years ago. Coptering, infinite wallrun glitch, Starchart 1.0, stamina bar, Void keys (before they added T4 and Vor monologue), Fusion Cores, Cicero Crisis, Tethras Doom, Old Vay Hek, ability mods, CC meta, Raids, Rhino Prime and Boltor Prime, before quests, before Kubrows, Starchart 2.0 and orbiter, limited revives per day, melee 1.0, before syndicates, so many tilesets have come out. A lot has happened, even more than listed. It's pretty crazy actually. I stuck with this game because items were actually attainable for free. I had played games made by Nexon like Maple Story and Combat Arms and couldn't get stuff easily in those games, so you know I highly appreciated the way DE runs this game. I've spent more money on Warframe than those 2 games, by the way.
This Christmas will hit my 9th year of playing Warframe. I was 11 years old back then playing a game I knew nothing about but saw it in the Free Games section after I got my Xbox One. I am now an LR4 9 Year veteran who can confidently say growing up with Warframe is easily the greatest thing I could have done. I so wish my old Screenshots and clips for those days were still around. I’ve spent a lot of good years in this game as I went through Middle and High School being teased by my friends for playing a game no one knew or heard about. Absolutely superb game, I still have my Old navy segments from the Starchart 2.0 and some other insanely old stuff I kept.
Dang. I'm a founder that's been playing since open beta release, and yeah this really puts it in perspective. I never really thought about it in particular, but yeah team comp was unbelievably important, you literally could not do high tier defense without frost. Now days I've personally gotten way stronger so I didn't stop to think that yeah, every frame really can kinda do everything now.
I did a big donation and pretty much researched it on my own because i had tons of samples from derelict defense farm with the good old ohris show carton.
That was a really rough farm. I did the oxia farm for Zephyr back when Oxium ospreys dropped between 0-2 of them, and Zephyr needed a TON. I'm STILL slowly grinding out cryotic for the Sibear. If nothing else, I expect it and some of the smaller niche weapons to be super effective through... riven dispositions or some new incarnon feature.
Everyone was required to run quick thinking back then since we didnt have a great way to tank without bless. We spent alot of time farming plastids and poly bundles back then for energy packs as a way to "heal".
Dude i love these videos, youre like the historian of the game! I think since this is a warframe Channel, It would be cool to see you as Dante instead of Harrow, since being this keeper of history, its Dante's work Nice video, and Nice Channel Loved the nostalgia trip, so much good Memories!
As a closed beta player, I remember seeing a talent tree system. where you could evolve to have more Shield and Life. and could use Fusion Core to improve these stats.
Loved when interception was meta for prime parts because banshee had a bugged arcane helmet which I owned that made it possible to reach the 200% ability efficiency, also known as infinite energy, press 4, go afk
The bingo video was sick. Loved it and hope you do more of those type videos(minigames with other creators/friends) its a lovely change of pace when it comes to warframe content
Really enjoy your videos, they’re always a nice nostalgia hit. This one hit me different when I realised I’ve been playing this game for nearly half my life. It was such a different game back then and it’s been such an amazing experience to watch Warframe grow and change over the years.
I am still so extremely nostalgic about the first time I looted Hell's Chamber which just made my regular Hek become a even bigger killing machine than before. That and how my Fragor would make enemys ragdoll out of the map.
My earliest memory of Warframe is from back in the summer of 2013, soft locking my account by binding left click to opening the chat window which I couldn't change back since I couldn't left click anymore. Around a year later I picked it back up since it came out on Xbox. 4 ~ 5 thousand hours later I'm still playing, just back on PC.
I had completely forgotten that at one point we didn't need to aim with Mesa. I miss it, it was very cinematic. Also there are still some remnants of the old light system. I sometimes notice that during an invasion, if it has the tileset part where you're essentially in space, the lightning is downright the same as it was back then. There was even one time when it stayed for the whole mission even after going past that "room". And right at the extraction point on Eris that is floating in space you can also somewhat see it as well as the skybox that certainly still has the old infested vibe.
I remember the old Raid system in WF-it was the only way to get arcanes and enemies started at lvl.80,which were pretty much unkillable back then so we used to run 8 vaubans and 2 trinities to CC enemies without killing them and we all had black energy color because any other color burned your retinas when we started spamming abilities
I remember despite not being a founder there were no 60/60 mods, movement system was 1.0 where dashing wasn't even around, Wall running was actual wall running, there was only 14 weapons Primary, 8 secondary, and 12 melee. Stealth actually took some skill since there was no invisibility so one had to use the environment and line of sights and sound to stealth.
I started end of 2017 not long after plain of eidolon came out. Even back then things were so different from now. I remember not long after I started playing DE rolled out nerfs for chroma's vex armor damage boost, ember's world on fire range and trinity's link nuke. People were absolutely PISSED back then while I had no clue why cuz I was a noob getting my ass carried by the inaros I farmed early on through the start chart lol
I love your videos because u always put old clips where I can see the old fashion people had, with the old lighting, truly a fascinating era, I kind of wish to create something with these early warframe vibes, Rest in Peace Mynki and thank u
Coptering wasn't the only mobility in parkour 1.0(ignoring sprint mods), you could do a wall run for a fraction of a second and launch yourself pretty far. My friends and I called it flash step because we were huge bleach nerds, but I don't know what the community at large called it. But the only reason I used it more than coptering was because I had an irrational hatred of the Dual Zoren, and the Tipedo didn't feel good to use. Also, this makes me feel, old.
thank you for sharing this man as it broutght back a tome of old memories. from taking 4 months to farm all the parts for nova prime to experimenting with her with my clanmates on ps4 and literally discovering a build that took us on a record breaking run that got several of the devs watching the stream and announcing that we were front page of twitch viewer count for a free game on a console, also at the time record duration of a T4 Dark Sector Survival, in which a max range mas effeciency nova build would literally nuke the room for 3 million radiation damage consistently. at only 12 energy. wish i had saved my twitch streams back then but i was a nobody. the run we as a group decided to stop and call it at just under 6 hours. still 1 shotting everything at we backed off from lvl 700+ enemies not because of difficulty but for VERY cramped fingers. the devs thanked us for the show... and within the next week.. novas damage was hard capped at 300k. for over a decade. she was locked out of all scaling till the literal very recent rework of her. sadly with napalms and thier wall hacks and bombards both gone, and t4 gone.. that build is no longer needed.
First of all, before this tangent, I'd like to pay respects to Mynki. His style oozed into every aspect of the game early on, and it drew me into the game very easily, as I've always had a strange fascination with the sleek, alien designs that were out of the norm, as opposed to a predominantly humanity-focused game. His work will never be forgotten to me, and he will forever be a legend in my eyes. Warframe was so different way back in the day, more than a small amount of it was extremely jank or un-fun, or downright disrespectful to you as a player 10 years ago. But I loved it. I first started playing Warframe when the Jordas Precept update was live, just a few months before The Second Dream. Needless to say, I think after that, I kind of fell in love with the game, it was so accessible to someone like me at the time (broke teenager lol), and I've stuck with it for the most part since then since there is so few good sci-fi experiences for the cheap on the market, even to this day. It's been with me since my early teen years, and now into my mid-20's. The game has still had it's rough patches IMO (the open world stuff was extremely rough on my enjoyment with the game and I almost dropped it entirely when they released the Cambrion Drift (Deimos)), but it had a lot to offer in terms of "stuff to do" even during those times. Needless to say, I'm always glad to see DE making changes to be more friendly to players who are brand new to the game, fixing or changing the tedious parts to just make it more enjoyable & respectable to you as the players, and their constant outpouring of consideration for the community as a whole. Not to mention, the game has an incredibly rich history, both on the side of changes within the game, and within the community & the development team itself. I don't know if Warframe go for another 10, but if so, I'll be looking forward to it. Cheers, everyone.
I remember starting back in 2014 on ps4 back when Nekros was the new Warframe. I remember the old UI, stamina bars, abilities were equipped like mods, Sgt. Nef Anyo and the J-3 Golem.
PS4 started way back in 2014? Man I could swear it came later but I guess I am getting so old I can't even remember these things anymore. I still remember when consoles were a new addition into the game.
@@CryZii777 That is such a mindfuck. I had just started my university studies back in 2013. Now I hold dual STEM degrees. Still play the game everyday though.
I miss the old days, but there's certainly plenty of stuff that's gone that should stay gone. Time to watch the video. There are not enough words to describe how much I miss pvp mattering and clans being more than a 2nd region chat and blueprint dump. Wait TheFaitKO is back? AWESOME!
16:40 boi i feel that.. when it came time to open beta.. i reset my account to get my plat back to start fresh and make sure i spend it wisely. i spent over 430+ runs just trying to farm REGULAR ember back in those days ruk was easier to farm yea but it was a pain in the ass. i was convinced it was bugged and was asking around so much within that month of just doing missions here and there for about an hour or two. some days it was 30 mins other days it was many hours straight. i think shortly after this i took my first mini break of the game. and come time that ivara was introduced i gave up at the 100 run mark of not getting a single component.
One of the oldest things I remember is that the door cameras on the corpus ships didn't have any lights indicating that it is the cause of the laser doors, you couldn't slid nor roll through them either.
Oh god! I remember playing in 2014 when Parkour 1.0 was a thing, and stopped playing until christmas 2015 and have been playing since. Wished that I invested more back then and purchase founder pack lol. Still. I can't believe I played nearly 10 years of this game and I can't stop thinking "Among all games that I played, this game is the game that I heavily invest my time with"
I am probably one of the players who misses old Warframes rainbow build possibilities and that infested missions were dark. The reason I liked that system was because it was an interesting environmental way to make the infested harder. Now the gap is still massive in terms of power levels infested vs. rest, but at least with damage 3.0 it's no longer as drastic. Regardless dark levels made players to rethink their approach to the missions and for a mostly melee faction, the ability to get to your face will always be important. I get why their levels were changed (not good for visually impaired people either), but I liked the dark levels conceptually. I guess ultimately the modernization is for the better. Infested just need health + speed buffs and new units to make them actually a worthy faction rather than shooting practice.
I miss the vibe of older Warframe. It was nore niche but also more focused in its vision, and i adored what the old vision of the game was and miss it every day
(2014 for me) Hear me out... OG Warframe had the energy of: "Wait. I just took psychedelics in an alien coliseum made of glass **rolls forward** how do I- **splits a 260lb room temp iq zombie soldier in half instantly** .....I am God. Run."
Great video as always, and dang i had forgotten how absolutely dark the game was, and parkour 1.0 is a hell of a meme, the fact that the old excal super jump was even an ability was so bad
I first made my account (almost) 10 years ago and was literally just yesterday wondering what things were like those first few weeks I played, before coming back this year.
I remember when Archwing came out, I was in highschool working in the Electronics department of Wal-Mart at the time. Me, the other Electronics employee and the guy who sold phones in between us and the photo center all used to play Warframe- then the Archwing update was revealed. The manager had such a hard time separating us cause we worked with eachother all the time and all we would do was talk about Warframe and Archwing coming out lol. I remember Hydroid coming out, the tidal waves on the log-in screen or the rain or whatever it was. The game has changed so much from even then when I started- after putting it down and picking it back up multiple times over the years. Teenager me never would have thought how far it could have come after Archwing. Railjack, Necramech, Kuva/Companions, Eidolons, Arcanes, Open World content, Mining and fishing, cities, Operator human form and SO many other additions that I could have never ever dreamed of back then.
This video brought back so much nostalgia... I recently started to play again (I left after the umbra quest) and I remember in 2014 maybe 2015 I was playing with some high school friends... farming relics and doing endless missions because it was the best way to farm, good old days.
Something I wish DE would do is give us the opportunity to change the star chart to one of the OG ones from back in the day. I remember playing Warframe for the first time on my Ps4 back in 2013 and I LOVED that star chart it had back then. Just felt more sci fi to me. Wish they made like a throwback update and touch old game modes and give us new tilesets
In WF old conclave system (i played a lot) (I started to play warframe since 2014/2013 since Warframe was bombarding with ads in every page and i still play... and i dont have bad memory) Your gear had a conclave value (each mod, each weapon) the reason was... there were multiple conclave places such Jupiter or pluton In Jupiter was medium lvl tier conclave 800-1000 aprox conclave value... You can run almost full build and fight against someone, pluto was the highest, you can go full gear there there was other conclave in some place such mercury (first planet) or in venus but the value was so low that you only can have like 3 mods in your wf and 3 mods in 1 gun SOmetimes i had fun example valkyr full efficiency with full strength... Only to use the first ability (a guy said to me that i should k*ll myself) In old warframe high lvl mission such Ceres and Pluton (the hardest planets) were actually hard... Soma was one of the easiest guns to get and the best in most aspects Ancients only had 2 weakpoints... the tentacles and the innerpart (between the "legs") if you hit other place... they were tanky Quick Thinking + Rage = Inmortality even in conclave (this was unfair) Terminus was the first mission in warframe, and External Terminus was the last Nobody had self control with the Penta, everyone instantly died using that gun And the best of the best... Stalker was a threat... Literally Stalker had a better fighting style (you had his soundtrack) if you were pretty far he tries to use his bow to oneshot you (really) and if he misses... he teleport behind you to stun you with his Hate... All guns hit a lot, once the Stalker hit me once (with the DMG 2.0) and 1 shot me, he depleted my shields in oneshot... and the bleed tick did like 900 dmg Melee such scythes or galatines were more satisfying to use because the charge attack they removed it and then put again the charge atk but with other animations, right now the old scythe charge atk is in the last combo standing still with "Stalking Fan" (it had a unique sound effect as charge atk and dealed a lot of dmg) and the old heavy sword charge atk is in whip and sword block standing still attack In the old warframe there were a lot of things that were unique... Such infested missions were more darker (in makes sense there is nobody to turn on the lights), the slide jump, in some missions a lot of people didnt know how to climb
Oh man, old warframe was a time but it definitely didn't turn me away so I mean it was good enough to keep me I also remember when you pet went down you had to interact with them so they didn't hate you, which I'm still not sure what that meant
Wow you took me all the way back. I’ve made no secret that Mogamu’s Ash video was the single point that made me want to play Warframe even though I knew about it from its first trailer. Things 4 the memories. Still playing in 2025.
I cannot explain how confused I was to hear you talking about limbo, while showing footage of Mesa, with the text JADE one screen, and your harrow avatar 27:11
i remember warframe in 2014 and it's atmosphere is what gets me and i still miss this atmosphere of course game evolved but i hope 1 day wwe will have maybe some new gameplay mode or something that'll give us back our old dark atmosphere P.S. i remember that i even miss old sound effects and i never noticed when they were cut from the game even "warframe theme" ninja-like drumming soundtrack is gone now P.S.S. dark sectors was 1 of the best content in 2014 it was very fun to play
I've been eyeing to get that Harrow systems for weeks or months and never got them, pain to say the least, until Duviri came and managed to rank 30 him. I can say the same for Octavia when we had to venture the derelict so many times. In addition, back then, it was indeed dark. Now that one gara ephemera would just flashbang you brighter than my dreams. Also, Raids, you WILL be missed.
I played warframe when grinding for drops involved replaying the Void over and over again. And while it was repetitive, something about that loop made it so rewarding when you got something good.
ok, gotta correct ya on something, OMNI did not monopolise the dark sectors, the alliance they were in had 0% tax and retired from the rails before the pvp aspect took affect
OMNI as a clan never owned any sectors either, moon clans such as Destroy All Monsters and The Spectral Sabers owned nodes (Ceres nodes for DAM, Eris nodes for TSS)
Ah I must have misremembered back when I played on PS4 (I might have gotten the memory mixed up as my brother kept talking about Omni back when we both played together), will update the pinned
@@NovaUmbral honestly lad theres enough drama from that time to make several videos on lol, in pinned id suggest mentioning how the sectors started as a pve sabotage, then became a pve mobile def, then finally pvp
Revives were why I initially bounced off of Warframe. Seemed like a really strange choice even back then for a game to tell you were done playing for the day, unless you wanted to pay for more lives. Then I started playing on Xbox shortly after The Second Dream launched on that console and it was a much better game even then. Back on PC with cross-save, and Warframe is one of my my favourite games ever now. Quite the journey this little game has had!
Sheeeesh. I started playing in 2016~2017, and the difference between this and that is already staggering. Don't think Void Towers were around by the time I started.
Ohh with the launch of Mirage. She had a glitch where her doppelgangers. Gave a 5x increase in damage, crit chance and damage PER ganger in which they all added a bonus on top of each other. It made ANY weapon red crit into the billions (and higher). Most definitely the most broken I've seen WF
21:30 - My brother... Rare items in 2024 are pretty rare still. It's "just" 10% per relic, which is a ~34.4% chance at _at least one rare_ item per _squad of radiant relics_ . Then you factor in the probabilities for the relics themselves at around 12% on average, and that you need 4 of them in a squad. If you're playing with a specific group, you all need the same relic, which brings down the chance of getting the rare part you need to **4.13%** per **attempt** (finding a relic, then cracking it).
You want to know what warframe was like in 2014? Me and 3 other dudes were first to have a 4 nekros party to a bursa event (at least in the english speaking space). We sold like 5 of tempo royales each for 1000 plat (because that's what you do with a thing that got released 3 hours ago) and with that money bought the entire realm's supply that was advertised for the next week, while continuing selling them for gradually less and less. By the end of the week we released the market from being our hostage and left it at 300 plat. It continued being that expensive for more than a year. Probably much more, idk, i stopped playing for a couple of years, but when i came back right before plains of eidolon, people still thought it's super scarce and sold it for 150-200p. And people were buing. I had like 5 of them left and sold them for 200 each
21:46 this also led to me having 500 Forma blueprints, 100 akbronco sets, and 50 Nyx Prime sets that nobody would buy for even 10p a set. Baro Kiteer did not exist for years btw Those Forma blueprints managed to make to like 2018 I think. Do you even know how painful it was to farm Forma BPs after TWO YEARS of not farming them? It's worse than you could imagine. 26:45 Yes they really sold you Extractor Prime and a cape for $50 with Rhino.
A minor thing I do miss from the old days of warframe is melee channeling. Sure its uses were niche at best, but I did really enjoy the cool visual effects and sound effects it gave your melee weapons. One thing I definitely won't miss and say "good riddance" to are old Corpus Comba and Scrambus units. I remember back then just like the Sapping Ospreys they'd be able to one-shot you because of how hard they hit, how fast they move, and also because they used to have an invisible aura where just getting close enough to them would disable your abilities.
Damn how time passes. I started playing when Update 17 came out, this sends me back to when our orbiter was a tiny, crammed space and our navigation system was funny spinning planets XD
Speaking of farm speeds, man farming cryotic for trinity prime chassis(?) and oxium for booben prime systems(?) on release of those frames was absolutely brutal. Probably took me a couple weeks for each
Man i’ve been playing on ps4 since 2015, seeing this game evolve and change has been an honor, truly one of my favorite games of all time even with its issues
i was on stream when we found Viver. which is one of the most controversial farms of all time when syndicates came out. the entire community turned on DE for nerfing trinity xcal and mag. but we also had xini on pluto back pre u10. and a also cant forget kappa, sedna. they seem to keep that node as a good xp farm. i miss its original mobile defense xp farm lol
I think i started playing in 2016-17. I remember the stamina bar, T1-4 void keys, arcane helmets, 8 person raids, and coptering. Got out of pkaying for several years but im back now and boy am i addicted.
Early warframe game play isn't as fast paced as today, the mission you can do in 2 minutes today can take you 15min ish, im glad they made it a fast paced game and gave it awesome movement set like we have today.
Ahh, that was nostalgic. The game has come so far, and for the most part, it's infinitely better than back when I started playing on my shitty laptop, getting like 20fps. There's only a few things I miss about old Warframe. For one thing, while I think the Relics are infinitely better than the Keys in terms of getting Prime drops, I actually miss when you could ONLY access the Void tileset via a Key. Since it wasn't a place you could just go to whenever you wanted, it wasn't just the end-game, it FELT like a special, Primed location. It had enemies, music, and a tileset that you never saw anywhere else, and it was such a contrast to the rest of the game that being able to spend time there felt starkly different to average gameplay. Now, it's just another tileset, lacks some of the charm since I can just go there at any time. While the modern game is also super satisfyingly fast and smooth, I kind of miss the more "grounded" feeling of the older game as well. Yes, the movement could be janky, but movement and shooting in older Warframe felt more in line with traditional third person shooters, while modern Warframe has you flying around and ignoring all laws of physics all the time lol. It's fun, but it's a lot less immersive for me. You never have a situation like being backed into a corner of a map by strong enemies, actually using cover. If you feel threatened these days, you just bullet jump 20m into the sky, roll mid-air, aim-glide, and float away. It's kind of fun to do, but older Warframe let you sort of sit yourself in the shoes of a more tactical, mortal shooter; you were still super powerful, fast and skilled, but you weren't exempt from the laws of physics. Last, I also miss the focus on single target weapons. Of all the things I don't like about modern Warframe, it's how every mission with experienced players is just a big AoE fest, with abilities that eliminate rooms of enemies, or weapons that have massive AoE and no self-damage letting people just run around shooting in the general direction of enemies to kill everything in the blink of an eye. I know you COULD clear huge groups of enemies in old Warframe, but it took a party of people each playing a role, as you pointed out in the video. If you didn't have someone supplying you energy, you couldn't just spam abilities forever. Again, that sort of classical third person shooter feel, a bit more tactical feeling, stemmed from using rifles, bows, and other individual target weapons. It felt a lot more like an action scene in a movie, and less like whatever it is now where you just delete everything in a space with very little interaction. I do also kind of miss the old aesthetic. It wasn't BETTER, but it was moody and kind of atmospheric. Stuff like the Infested tilesets being dark was a lot scarier when you couldn't just bullet jump and fly away from any close quarters danger! Either way, awesome video! Love to go back and see what it used to be like.

That sounds horrifying

- Void Key endurance
- Rhino Prime packing
- Vauban's funni electric balls
- Nekros was a pain in the ass to farm
I kind of miss Tesla Link x.x
You can also slide the best melee back then was the meme strike atterax 😂😂
And the best bow being the Lenz
@@kaly8329 Lenz came out in 2017. That's too new. Parkour 2.0 (current) came in 2015 so coptering is way old school. 😎

BAH, I found warframe because I was a poor boy from a poor family looking for anything ftp that wasn't another pvp shooter. No way I was gonna afford that $250 price tag.
26:30 "limbo stop that" bro was hated on since day one😭🙏

Hello there. This Naberus was my Excal Prime's 11th birthday. An old man, who still roams the system to this day.
Stalker with the Braton Vandal and Cronus was my biggest fear as a new player. Haven't faced an enemy as scary since they gave him a new arsenal.
those were the weapons Stalker used back then?
@Zeg-eh5ik yep, his Braton Vandal had pin point accuracy and he'd beam you with it the moment he got sight of you
I was there, Gandalf...
Absolutely superb game, I still have my Old navy segments from the Starchart 2.0 and some other insanely old stuff I kept.
same dude. I lost my original account but then restarted again and got to MR 25 again.

15:37 streets wont forget the infamous Hema farm.
I did a big donation and pretty much researched it on my own because i had tons of samples from derelict defense farm with the good old ohris show carton.
Soon there'll be no more reason to farm that, as the Coda Hema will come soon.
@kraosdadafusfus8034 theres always conpletionists and every weapon provides Mastery Fodder
**skin crawls**
That was a really rough farm. I did the oxia farm for Zephyr back when Oxium ospreys dropped between 0-2 of them, and Zephyr needed a TON.
I'm STILL slowly grinding out cryotic for the Sibear. If nothing else, I expect it and some of the smaller niche weapons to be super effective through... riven dispositions or some new incarnon feature.
This was such a nice walk down memory lane. 12 years still seem like just yesterday.
Everyone was required to run quick thinking back then since we didnt have a great way to tank without bless. We spent alot of time farming plastids and poly bundles back then for energy packs as a way to "heal".
Choosing between abilities to use in your loadout was a crazy time
I really don't miss the brakable glass in that one Corpus room... One explosion, doors locked... or needing to feed the pet......
Dude i love these videos, youre like the historian of the game!
I think since this is a warframe Channel, It would be cool to see you as Dante instead of Harrow, since being this keeper of history, its Dante's work
Nice video, and Nice Channel
Loved the nostalgia trip, so much good Memories!
As a closed beta player, I remember seeing a talent tree system. where you could evolve to have more Shield and Life. and could use Fusion Core to improve these stats.
The taxi's were a god send back then. You needed to beat the boss on the planet to get to the next one except for one plant.
I remember when naramon was so broken they had to change it entirely. You could invis melee indefinitely
duuude box ogris was the shit lol, remember playing so much defenses using that when it was first introduced
Oh my goodness seeing all the old main RUclipsrs clips is so nostalgic
And dont forget the old "Maiming strike+slide+Atterax" meta

Oh yeah and shoutout to the old days where Stug was meta.

Lol funny enough the first warframe video i uploaded on a whim was about 9 years ago on the ps4 version. Right after the excalibur rework. Memories
In WF old conclave system (i played a lot) (I started to play warframe since 2014/2013 since Warframe was bombarding with ads in every page and i still play... and i dont have bad memory)
Your gear had a conclave value (each mod, each weapon) the reason was... there were multiple conclave places such Jupiter or pluton
In Jupiter was medium lvl tier conclave 800-1000 aprox conclave value... You can run almost full build and fight against someone, pluto was the highest, you can go full gear there
there was other conclave in some place such mercury (first planet) or in venus but the value was so low that you only can have like 3 mods in your wf and 3 mods in 1 gun
SOmetimes i had fun example valkyr full efficiency with full strength... Only to use the first ability (a guy said to me that i should k*ll myself)
In old warframe high lvl mission such Ceres and Pluton (the hardest planets) were actually hard... Soma was one of the easiest guns to get and the best in most aspects
Ancients only had 2 weakpoints... the tentacles and the innerpart (between the "legs") if you hit other place... they were tanky
Quick Thinking + Rage = Inmortality even in conclave (this was unfair)
Terminus was the first mission in warframe, and External Terminus was the last
Nobody had self control with the Penta, everyone instantly died using that gun
And the best of the best... Stalker was a threat... Literally Stalker had a better fighting style (you had his soundtrack) if you were pretty far he tries to use his bow to oneshot you (really) and if he misses... he teleport behind you to stun you with his Hate... All guns hit a lot, once the Stalker hit me once (with the DMG 2.0) and 1 shot me, he depleted my shields in oneshot... and the bleed tick did like 900 dmg
Melee such scythes or galatines were more satisfying to use because the charge attack they removed it and then put again the charge atk but with other animations, right now the old scythe charge atk is in the last combo standing still with "Stalking Fan" (it had a unique sound effect as charge atk and dealed a lot of dmg) and the old heavy sword charge atk is in whip and sword block standing still attack
In the old warframe there were a lot of things that were unique... Such infested missions were more darker (in makes sense there is nobody to turn on the lights), the slide jump, in some missions a lot of people didnt know how to climb
Oh man, old warframe was a time but it definitely didn't turn me away so I mean it was good enough to keep me
I also remember when you pet went down you had to interact with them so they didn't hate you, which I'm still not sure what that meant

If you're playing with a specific group, you all need the same relic, which brings down the chance of getting the rare part you need to **4.13%** per **attempt** (finding a relic, then cracking it).
can't believe I've been here since the closed beta, it's been crazy seeing the game evolve this whole time
Started playing around 2014, crazy how nostalgic the older footage is.
Baro Kiteer did not exist for years btw
Those Forma blueprints managed to make to like 2018 I think. Do you even know how painful it was to farm Forma BPs after TWO YEARS of not farming them? It's worse than you could imagine.
26:45 Yes they really sold you Extractor Prime and a cape for $50 with Rhino.
The memory of shooting 2 full mags of Acrid’s rainbow bolts into a bombard face ahhh the memories.
Haha true. Remember when Stug was meta?
A minor thing I do miss from the old days of warframe is melee channeling. Sure its uses were niche at best, but I did really enjoy the cool visual effects and sound effects it gave your melee weapons.
One thing I definitely won't miss and say "good riddance" to are old Corpus Comba and Scrambus units. I remember back then just like the Sapping Ospreys they'd be able to one-shot you because of how hard they hit, how fast they move, and also because they used to have an invisible aura where just getting close enough to them would disable your abilities.
'before the liset' *God* man. There was a time before Ordis. I almost don't remember it.
Damn how time passes. I started playing when Update 17 came out, this sends me back to when our orbiter was a tiny, crammed space and our navigation system was funny spinning planets XD
as an OG player, watching this video hit me with tons of nostalgia, sometimes I miss coptering
Rip Void glitch still not forgotten
New novaumbral vid my day is made
i was on stream when we found Viver. which is one of the most controversial farms of all time when syndicates came out. the entire community turned on DE for nerfing trinity xcal and mag. but we also had xini on pluto back pre u10. and a also cant forget kappa, sedna. they seem to keep that node as a good xp farm. i miss its original mobile defense xp farm lol
I remember loving the ragdoll in the old days, i used to play tennis with Bamobards in keys missions with a pair of Jat Kittag
Incredible how the " is this the same game?" Feeling was there since the begining
Have the closed beta batch in my profile. Its insane how much the game changed and how they always improved.
